In-Character Information Character’s name: Xavier de Verdon Character’s gender: Male Character’s race: Human Character’s age: 61 Biography: Xavier was born to Alianne and Theromare de Verdon, both of whom were Hearlanders who moved to the north after family disputes back home in Felsen, in the Kingdom of Oren. The family lived a destitute life the first two decades after Xavier's birth due to the fact that they had nothing of value and had difficulty adapting to the Highlander lifestyle. Xavier was forced to join the hunt to make up for the lack of food and hides, a profession which he despised and still carries many scars from, botched hunting game, unclean kill and unfair rivalry. On Xavier's twenty first birthday, he moved back to Felsen with what little valuables he had to seek formal education, learning how to write, perform math and other intellectual activities. The grandeur of the city in comparison to the North left a lasting impression on Xavier, the dream to design his visions into reality and make a name for himself. It took him a full 30 years to master the intellectual arts, tutelage which he managed to afford by doing portrait paintings and wall fresco's for wealthier citizens. Finally when he was 50, he moved back to the North. While he never truly felt the North was his home, he believed it was still in its raw basic nature and therefor was easier to mold and shape than the south. Unbeknownst to him, his parents had already past due to an illness that swept the camp they resided in years back, which meant that Xavier had nowhere to go and no starting point to realize his dreams. He wandered for a while until the rebellion of the North caught him off guard, making him unable to return to Oren safely without proper protection or any means to bribe any potentially hostile elements that would kill him for either being in the North or being a Felsen born Heartlander. Eventually with resources exhausted, Xavier ended up in Hiraeth where he started using the name Carl to avoid any conflict with his Southern sounding name. He reasoned that with funds having ran out, and nowhere else to go, Hiraeth had to be the place from where to start his dream, even at such an advanced age. Personality Traits: Calm and Disengaging, Xavier has had a youth of conflict and now wishes to continue living in peace, to avoid conflict and to dissuade violence whenever it presents itself near him. Pensive and Thoughtful, Xavier can often spend hours contemplating things around him in quiet introverted contemplation. Meticulous and Precise, Xavier has a perfectionist mind and a dexterous pair of hands. He writes with a fancy writing and has a talent for drawing. Perceptive and Analytical, Xavier tends to analyse people before fully interacting with them to understand what he is dealing with. Judgmental and Prejudiced, Xavier is very confident in his perceptive abilities, so much in fact that he becomes prejudiced. Ambitions: To become a renown name of architectural skill, hired by the nobility to design their estates and summer houses. In short, Fame and Fortune trough service to the nobility utilizing his architectural skill. Strengths/Talents: Architectural Wonder, Xavier has a keen eye for building styles and architectural beauty, able to design elaborate buildings with wondrous decorations and beautiful feats of engineering and skill. Quick Thinker, Xavier is a decisive fox, making quick decisions and being confident in their correctness and virtue. He will hardly ever succumb to insecurities. Artistic, Xavier is a person who enjoys art and excels at it. He both enjoys looking at paintings and making them, commanding skill in composition, color, style and technique. Weaknesses/Inabilities: Infirm and Old, Xavier is becoming very old, reaching the age of 62 everything but his eyes and his hands are seriously deteriorating. Xavier walks with a cane and frequently has to sit down due to Arthritis. Frightful of Violence, Xavier hates violence, swords, wars and conflict. He will attempt to dissuade others from violence, but when it occurs he is also the first one to run. Xavier is unreliable in any conflict situation. Overly Critical, Xavier can sometimes be incredibly dull or irritating to deal with as he is overly critical and holds people to an unreasonably high standard.
