Most of these rules are used by most RP Servers anyways and I see that they definately always bring good Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense?(If so we can help clear it up! Actually I just typed in random tags to find a proper RP Server and at some Point I came up here. Definitions Feel free to Google the answers or browse our forums, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not those of another website or person! What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is when you act as if you were a specific character in a specific world/Setting. You must act the way your character would and try to play him realistically, even if some decisions would be very different from your very own. What is metagaming?: It`s when you use OOC knowledge for your RP. Let`s say someone told you that he will raid your town via Skype. Your Char would not know that, but if you then directly set up the defences and prepared for them it would be metagaming. What is powergaming?: So I have no clue which Definition of powergaming is required here, however it can be 1. Making an extremely overpowered Character, who cant be killed/hurt and simply doesnt fit into the lore ( also known as godmodding ) 2. Forcing your RP decisions/Actions onto other Players. Let`s say you do "/me lungs at the Dwarf, killing him" . You would force your Opponent to let his Char die, instead you should do "/me lungs at the Dwarf intending to kill him". In-Character Information Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play. Character’s Name: Eundil Elsael Character’s sex: Male Character’s race: High Elf Character’s Age: 348 Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): Eundil was born 348 summers ago in the Silver City. His father was a trader, who studied the arts of magic in his younger years, while his mother was an Alchemist. His first 45 years Eundil mostly spent in various cities, towns, villages and sometimes even in the wild, as his family was always on the move to make the best profit. He saw the great dwarven capitol of Kal`Karaad, Cerulin, the home of the Wood Elves and even the cities of the sand, like Al-Dirakh. The Young Elf however never enjoyed these towns and was always happy when they entered smaller villages like Montfront, or especially Gimblewood. Something made him like these Halflings. He came to know many different cultures, and so became very open minded to all kinds of people, and never really saw himself as a real High Elf in his early years. On their journeys, his mother would most of the time teach him what she knew, and when he did have time. Eundil always asked his father to teach him the arts of magic, he however never had enough time for his son, and so he was just left with the dream of becoming a sorcerer one day. At the age of 45 Eundil met a beautiful girl in a smaller town, which they passed through and both quickly fell in love. He told his parents, that he would leave them and live with his new love, and so he did. They had a great relationship for 12 years, but over time Eundil started spending much time in the local tavern, and he quickly became a drunkard, causing his love to leave him. This caused him to drink even more, until one day he did not have any more money, and he had to leave his home. He then finally realized, that his life couldnt go on like that, and he decided to start a new life. Eundil knew how to heal people, and how to protect them alike, so he travelled the lands, healing and protecting people who were in need and most often he would also get a good payment for his work. Eundil did so, until the Worm, the destroyer of Athera came.... He was one of the first to quickly leave his old world - probably also, since not much did hold him back there, as he didnt own anything other than what he wore. He just prayed for his both parents ... and also for his lost love , that they would get a ship in time too. Personality Traits: Good hearted, loyal, stubborn, acts sometimes quicker than he thinks, open minded, self confident and a bit rebellious Ambitions: Finding a new home for now only Strengths/Talents: Wielding a Short Sword, magic, alchemy Weaknesses/Inabilities: Archery, Mounted Combat, Bigger Weapons, Formation Combat, climbing Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): Eundil is fairly high build and pretty fit although he could loose some weight. He isnt extremely muscular, but decently. He wears his hair in middle length and has a quite big beard for a High Elf. He has green eyes and darker Skin than most other High Elfes.
