I came across Lord Of The Craft when i was looking for an RP server, i have never applied for whitelist servers before, so i decided it was time to immerse myself in this form of gaming, which to me is more a culture than simple gaming entertainment. (sorry, got a bit carried away there). What is roleplaying?: Its acting out a role basically. Becoming a character that you can only dream of, and then sharing this experience with real life people! What is metagaming?: When a player uses a form outside of the general knowledge or world to do something for instance, messaging the player through skype or team speak and says something like 'i need help' and you come to their aid, in medieval times this form of communication would not exist therefore you ruin the RP experience. What is powergaming?: Power gaming is when a player makes an emote without giving the other player an means to respond, for example 'Peter killed Isabelle'. Isabelle could not technically respond to that because she's dead, a better way to emote it so that it works in boths favour is 'Peter prepared to stab Isabelle' or 'Peter lunged at Isabelle'. In my opinion, power gamers seem to be quite distasteful. In-Character Information Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Character’s name: William Siren Character’s sex: Male Character’s race: Human Character’s age: 43 Biography: The Siren family name is one unknown to the people of Vailor, Although his ancestors were prominent beastmasters of House Carrion and aided them in the construction Of Kralta. William lived a fairly privileged life with his family although at the age of eleven, Williams mother died of the a deadly genus of the flu. His father regularly took him out hunting to help clear their heads, Over Time williams love for nature became strong, and he grew to greatly admire and care for the nature, he knew that he had a strong conection with animals of all kinds. William his whole life dreamt of the power that the elves harboured with the force of nature. It was this day the he knew he had something special although, not magical in construct he understood animals through his great passion of nature. As William grew older he and his father were highly curious of their highlander ancestry and how they came to serve house Carrion. William and his father never practiced their ancestral culture of kaedreni and never fully knew where the siren name came from. William lived a fairly normal live up until the age of 43 until he came to the realization that there was more to life then Breeding and matching war hounds for house Carrion, His knew he couldn't leave as his father needed his help, william would often be caught sneaking off into the woods every so often, feeding the deer and calming the angered beasts of the forest. The day of Williams 43rd birthday an elvish man walking down the street chanted something about a foolish human running off into the woods like a child, William with his bitter resentment of elven kind beat the man to the edge of life, the city guard captured him for trial, William escaped their custody, gathered his things and ran off without even talking to his father, He knew that his destiny had nothing to do with serving a noble house. He's now on an adventure to find his true purpose! This is where williams journey begins! Ambitions: To serve the people Vailor and prove that mankind harbours the gifts of nature, and that magic doesn't define your ability. Strengths/Talents: Honourable, Intelligent, Confident and a strong bond nature. Weaknesses/Inabilities: Over opinionated, Obsession with human superiority. Blindness in left eye (consumption of fermented mead that contained toxic substance) William also has asthma (a diseases unknown at this stage) his only means to treat it is to rest every so often and take healing potions which reduce lung inflammation. Any memory or talk of Williams mother spins him into great anger and usually ends badly.
