Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

Ghosts are the soul shadows of dead people who haven’t moved on for whatever reason. They have three stages. The first two are referred to as Haunts. In the third stage, they become a Poltergeist or Revenant.

Level 1 ghosts are black and white, no irises or pupils, and they are in denial or unaware that they are dead. They try to live their normal lives, and they can’t do anything special like float or walk through walls since they will still try to live life according to living physics. They exist in a weird haze of fantasy where they can’t really grasp reality, and their reality is formed based on their memories and the belief that they are alive.

People start being able to see and hear them in some ways – strange sounds, strange shadows, etc. They will try to interpret the new information in their own sort of delusional way to try to maintain the fantasy they’re in. They still believe they are alive.

Level 1 Haunts can only interact with the world in very limited ways. They have very little control over if they’re seen or heard.

They become level 2 if and when they accept that they are dead. At this stage, they start being able to control their abilities – like appearing at will, shift appearance – but these things are very difficult to fully learn and can take a long time for them to master.

The awaking process is very difficult and terrifying for the ghosts. They have to be awakened either by someone else or by irrefutable proof that they are dead.

After many years of being a ghost, depending on how the spirit has taken their death, they will evolve into level 3 ghosts. If the Haunt reacts quite badly to their death, they may become a Poltergeist. They tend to be angry and dangerous. They like to scare people, scratch, throw things, and generally cause chaos.

If a Haunt accepts their death peacefully, they can eventually become a Revenant. These ghosts are typically mundane and harmless. They can seek help to move on from the mortal realm.

Ghosts can’t phase through walls at any stage. They can’t fly. They are rather solitary. Being around a ghost for too long can cause depression and suicidal thoughts. Ghosts can be driven out with bright light or gold. They can also be affected by certain magics – Shamanisn, Fi, holy, etc.

  3. Spoiler

The winds howl through the empty streets. Another settlement abandoned by many. The final hearth goes cold in the Gallic Clan's little nook of Daeland. The wagons are long gone. The houses are building up dust. The nomadic people have once again taken another path, another home.

Elsewhere, a few Gallics have begun construction on their latest settlement. Saws and hammers sound through the day while music fills the air at night. Nestled in a mountainside cove on the water, their village seems at peace for now. Across the river, the city that serves as their new host is busy and bustling.

A very old woman sits on a stump and watches her family. She calls out to her grandson as he's hard at work, "I'm sorry for moving us once more, but it sure feels good to be someplace lively again!"

"Now if only I actually knew where we are…" She hoots like an owl before cackling madly.

  4. I started using Spotify not that long ago. Before that, I used Youtube premium, because I got it for free for a while...

Overall, not surprised. Not enough Glen Hansard. I'm failing him. I need to go listen to all of his albums again. Also, Dylan isn't high enough on that list...Need to listen to more Dylan.

He wonders why the person speaks to himself so often, as he is simply looking at a parchment alone. Perhaps it was the people of Suctia being possessed by the cult.

Ashton is a woman who likes to talk out loud. It's no different than a man wondering to himself in some place far away from Sutica, which he claims to know so much about. Yet, he doesn't seem to know the first thing.

She wonders how this group of people ever learned to read or write. "Perhaps they're possessed by spooks or something." She mumbles to herself.

  6. "How would people who have never been around know whether or not we have a church? We may not have a fancy, formal Orenian one, but that doesn't mean we are without a church. Even the High Pontiff of the Church of Oren was good friends of Oliver's and came to Sutica. These people obviously know nothing of Sutica."

Ashton shakes her head, completely disappointed in the people claiming to know what is best for a people they've never even met it seems.

  7. Ashton nods along with Oliver.

"These people are the true heathens. To fight the servants of God who do nothing but heal the innocent and give homes to people for free. If that's what cults do, I'd much rather the world be run by cults than people like these 'petitioners.' Power hungry, all of them."

The ghost of Lord Philip Augustus de Capua whispers in the evening winds, "False Roswells deserve death." The former liege lord of the TRUE House Roswell vanishes back into obscurity.

Rona goes about her day, not hearing the whispers of the ghost. She continues to love her husband and carry on her merry little way.

    Spoiler

  9. Rona Roswell rolls her eyes and chuckles.

"My husband isn't stupid, and our house is more than just him. Maybe if this wordy fool had his infant son threatened and his own life promised to be taken, he'd dislike Oren as well. It's easy to judge when you're not one of the targets. Such bliss it must be to live with rose-tinted glasses."

Rona then tosses the drivel into the trash where it belongs.

"It's the druids!" shouts a long-nosed individual while hiding his minas. He pauses and wonders how they expect anybody to treat with them if they don't give  people a way to communicate with them. This critical line of thought leads him to wonder why someone would sign a paper only to smudge the signature after. Chaim scratches his head in confusion.

"WE CAN FLY!? Why didn't anyone tell me?" proclaims an exceedingly confused Druid woman.

  11. Minecraft name/s: MorriSaye/MorriBae

    Age: 25

Time zone and availability: EST. I am available from roughly 8-9 a.m. till 11 p.m. - midnight. Monday through Sunday.

What is something you have always wanted to change on the server?: I would like for there to be more centralized RP hubs. Too many people are treating the current map like a game of Civilization or The Sims, even. They're focused on their own power, castles, land, etc. It's hard to find RP sometimes. The world is beginning to feel like it's less about RP and more about possessions. That is something I would love to change to some extent. Even if that means making a centralized area for people who truly want to focus on RP, I would enjoy making that happen.

What is something you would like to change on the game moderator team?: The biggest complaint that I've had is that once quotas are filled for the month, it feels like modreqs are not a priority anymore. I've seen it happen many times, heard people's feelings about it, and I've had it happen personally. It's very discouraging when you have to wait for a single door to become unlocked for two or three hours when many GMs are on. I understand that they have RP as well, but waiting many hours for something simple to get done isn't acceptable to me.

When you accept the responsibility of being in a position to take care of those things, it's also within your responsibility to know when to politely step away from what you're doing to take care of your duties. It can be frustrating on a personal level, but that's part of it. I'm the Minister of the Interior in Sutica on one of my characters, and I have been for a while. I have learned how to balance my personal RP with my duties. It's not always convenient for myself, but I agreed to take on a position that requires me to respond in a timely manner. That comes before anything else for me.

There needs to be a bit more personal responsibility and pride in what gets done. It is just a game in the end, but if a person isn't willing to put forth extra effort -- even if it means them being inconvenienced at times -- they probably shouldn't take on a role that requires that of them. Too many people apply for GM for the perks, recognition, or the power. There needs to be more genuine intentions on the team, and that starts with perhaps an attitude change about the position. It should be about helping people, not about the perks that come along with the tag.

What are your finest qualities?: I was raised to be effective and efficient. I am organized. Helping people is one of my greatest joys in life. I'm very skilled in documenting things. I try my hardest at all times to be honest and straight forward. I know my limits, and I know when to seek outside help. I don't let my personal pride get in the way of anything that I do.

What are your worst qualities, and how could you improve these aspects?: I have anxiety issues. I am on medication for them, and I have been in treatment for the last two years. I see a counselor weekly. My anxiety is still a problem, and it causes me to panic at times. When I panic, I can get very defensive or I come across as harsh. However, I have been actively working on it. I'm much better than I was before. I'm going to continue working on it until it isn't an issue that affects my life or goals.

What members of the current staff could you look to for guidance?: Sky, Ever, Thomas, Jaeden, Gus, Leowarrior, Dohvi. I know many staff members on the site, and I feel comfortable going to just about all of them at this point.

Who do you not get along with on the current team?: I don't think there's anyone in particular that I don't get along with. I can be a brash person at times, but I apologize if I get out of line. At the moment, I feel like I get along well with all the team members that I know.

How much free time do you have? Will this change in the foreseeable future?: Too much and no.
