  2. Out-Of-Character Information What’s your Minecraft account name?: _Aragwen_ How old are you?: 18 Are you aware the server is PG-13: Yes I am. Have you read and agreed to the rules?: Yes I have. What’s the rule you agree with the most?: Although I agree with all the rules, the one I most agree with is being allowed to lie OOC in order to prevent metagaming, but never for your own gain. I believe it makes up for greater immersion if a player's character finds something out at the same time as his character does, and not beforehand. His reactions will obviously be more natural and for me that's what roleplay is all about. Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense?: No. How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: It's a pretty popular server so I can't quite pinpoint when I heard about it, but it has been mentioned at least once in every single other roleplay server I played in. Link(s) to past Whitelist Applications: I have played in serious roleplay servers before, such as Shadows and Daggers, RenaissanceCraft and Realm of Saphriel, but it was quite some time ago and I can't seem to find the applications. Definitions What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is, in the most basic sense, acting. Instead of speaking and acting as yourself, you're playing a character you created, and instead acting according to their own knowledge, past and personality. For me it's a great way of expression and above all creativity when it comes to making different characters and challenging yourself by playing a personality unlike your own. What is metagaming?: Metagaming is using information you have attained OOC while IC. Meaning, you're using information you, as the player, know of, but which your character has never come across, to your character's benefit. This greatly takes away from immersion, since you should be as honest as possible while roleplaying, and stay true to what your character does or does not have knowledge of. What is powergaming?: Powergaming is forcing your character's actions upon others without giving them a chance to retaliate or counter your action. As such, you're taking away from said person's freedom in roleplaying, limiting their actions to your will. In-Character Information Character’s name: Aragwen Arcanscape Character’s sex: Female Character’s race: Wood Elf Character’s age: 204 Biography: Aragwen was born to a High Elf father and a Wood Elf mother, who lived during the troubled times of Emerald Dominion threats to the State of Laureh'lin, where Aragwen's parents lived. Her father, Echuibend, was a worshipper of Cernunnos gifted with great druidic powers, who stayed on the Wood Elves' side all through these turbulent times, mostly because of his love for Eldis, Aragwen's mother, and for his relligion and open-mindedness. Though most High Elves usually loathed impurity, Echuibend was quite tollerant when it came to this, having always lived among Wood Elves. Nevertheless, tensions within Laureh'lin were rising, with the Dominion calling for High Elves to be removed from these lands, and even more so because of the impending war. High Elves were cast apart in society, and Echuibend ended up being killed in a public rising lead by radical Wood Elves against the High Elves. Eldis moved to Cerulin at last in hopes of living a more peaceful life, and that's where not long afterwards Aragwen was born, having never met her father. Eldis worked at a shop as an assistant bowyer and from a very young age Aragwen was taught how to use a bow, becoming proficient with it at a relatively young age. She had always been an active kid who was very much in touch with nature, having inherited this from her deceased father. She too started worshipping Cernunnos and took hunting as a career once she came of age. Aragwen had always been quite the lonesome one and hunting proved to be the perfect conjugation of her beliefs, skills and personality. It became a steady source of income for her and her mother, but soon came the time to part ways. Aragwen's wanderlust made her leave the city she had been born in and explore what the world had to offer outside the elven forests, in search of knowledge and whatever destiny threw at her. Personality Traits: Aragwen has always been an energetic and outgoing, yet introspective one. She enjoys being around those she considers trustworthy (which should be said, aren't many) and can easily carry a conversation, but she would most times rather be alone, in communion with nature, either hunting or meditating. She's often sarcastic and quirky, but her apparent ease around most people is only superficial, for she's often suspicious of those she doesn't yet know well. Aragwen makes a habit of always carrying her bow with her, and greatly cherishes it. She's quite modest when it comes to her skills and way of living, and would always rather have a small yet comfortable house near the woods where she can be at peace. Ambitions: Aragwen aspires to become a better huntress and be able to make a comfortable living out of hunting. Once she has accomplished this goal, she will be driven by curiosity alone and explore exotic locations and cultures in hopes of better understanding the world, perhaps turning to worshipping Cernunnos like her father, later in life. Strengths/Talents: Aragwen is, as mentioned above, proficient at using a bow. Her stature also makes her very nimble and silent, which proves to be great when it comes to chasing prey. She's also fast and cunning, both while hunting and while speaking. Weaknesses/Inabilities: Some of her strengths can also prove to be her downfall, for example, her nimbleness and dexterity mean she's slightly fragile and can't take many blows when it comes to hand-to-hand fighting. Her curiosity also means she often inadvertently gets into sticky situations. Appearance: Aragwen gets some High-Elf features from her father, such as her hair and eye color. She has long blonde locks which might otherwise be silky if they weren't constantly put under the strain of her hiding in trees and dirt, making them slightly messy. They frame deep grey eyes that look just like her father's. Her stature, however, is that of a Wood Elf such as her mother - Aragwen is only slightly shorter than average, and very slim, slightly muscular. Her pointy ears usually display several metal piercings and her forearms and knees are scarred in places, mostly due to her clumsiness as a youngster. She dresses in lightweight outfits of natural colors, usually hooded, which help her blend in with the forest. She also often wears leather braces or gloves while hunting.
