What is roleplaying?: Role-playing is an act which allows people to become somebody completely new, somebody other than themselves. It allows people to be immersed in being another character, or inside another world.
What is metagaming?: Meta-gaming can potentially ruin roleplaying for other people. By participating in metagaming, people are going against what roleplaying does due to the fact that your character is using information that they shouldn't know, nor have any experience with.
What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Power-emoting is another role-playing destroying act. It is a way of giving your character more power than they should actually have, such as having them do something towards another player which they can have no response to, because the player has already responded for them. By doing this, the person is controlling the other players actions, and ruining their role-playing experience.

Glipena is young, and ambitious wood elf. Born in Laureh'lin in 1523, she lived a happy and simple life with both of her respected druid parents, until the age of 23 when both parents were tragically killed and she was forced to flee her home. Travelling from city to city, gaining friends as she goes, Glipena searches for a place to settle down.
From the knowledge learnt from hours spent studying every book she could get her hands on, to the agility learnt from hours watching her father, Glipena has over time learnt how to keep herself out of harms way, keeping her trusted bow close by if she would ever need it.
Dreading the same fate as her parents, Glipena tends to keep to the trees, as she has always felt connected to nature, and gains a sense of safety when amongst it. In order to keep surviving, she makes money through selling meats, furs and wood. With a need to help people and her mother's inherited good nature, she often uses her skills to create weapons for fellow travellers, selling them at tiny costs.
Life in the forest is perfect for Glipena, but she does enjoy time spent in the cities, as she gets to mix with other races, which often results in her gaining more knowledge. Glipena, like many Elves, loves learning, and hopes to have one day travelled the whole of Vailor.
Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) Glipena loves nature and loves to explore. She spends a majority of her time reading her parent's old books, as she has a deep passion for gaining knowledge. She's a good person at her core, but finds it hard to trust people at first. She really dislikes when people who don't want to help others.
Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) Like her parents, Glipena wants to master the art of druidism. Although she wants to gain knowledge in as much as she can, her heart is set on becoming a druid. It's what her parent's would have wanted.
Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) Glipena is good at hunting, collecting and archery.
Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) Glipena is really bad at cooking. One thing she unfortunately didn't inherit from her mother.
Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?) Glipena is quite short, being only 5"1 and has a thin, but strong body. She has lightly tanned skin and bright white hair. Her eye colour is a rare bright green, which she has her father to thank for.
