  1. Nadya would let out a quiet chuckle to herself as a few rare tears trickled over her cheeks as she read of her dear friend’s death. ”A fockin’ hero,” she’d nod, glancing up from the paper as she recalled all the times he had been there to assist her in her many endeavours, be they business or battle. As she thought of this, a pang of guilt would hit her – perhaps regret for not having consolidated their friendship or not being as present to help him as he had done so often for her. ”Sleep soundly, ye brave bastard. Hope tha’ blade ah made ye served ye well,” she’d sigh, her words spoken upwards to the heavens. ”I’ll visit ye soon. We got some catchin’ up te do.”
  2. Nadya would scribble upon a piece of paper, sharing the good new with her friend and colleague, Milo Vitale. ’Thank the Gods for Konstantin Wick. We could not have hired someone better,’ she would write, a smile beaming from ear to ear.

Peeling her eyes from the towering city and vibrant markets before her, Nadya turns to the man with polite yet slightly forced smile. “Good food, good liquor, and gold, my friend” she responds with a laugh, gently pushing past him, not waiting for a reply before continuing on into the bustling city, eager to lose herself in the crowd and have a taste of what the city has to offer.

Character’s name: Lieryn Character’s sex: Female Character’s race: Wood Elf Character’s age: 117 Biography: Lieryn was born in the year 1446 Laurelin in but didn’t end up spending more than a few years there. Her mother despised her father and everything to do with him, including her only daughter. Being too young to remember at the time, Lieryn never fully understood the terms of why her parents didn’t get along and why she never met her father or ever heard anything about him. Before her sixth birthday, Lieryn was thrown out of her mother’s home, her parent’s hatred too dear to show mercy even to that of a child. But by some miracle, as the young Wood Elf sat crying by the roots of a tree, a caravan of Highlander men rode by and saw the girl all alone and with the kindness of their hearts, took it upon themselves to find her a happier, safer home where she would be loved and cared for, although that didn’t exactly go to plan. Upon arriving in the settlement of Courland, Lieryn was left an orphan to wander the streets, getting by with scraps of food that would otherwise be thrown out. A year of this went by before Lieryn was found by the man who she later grew to love as a father. A man, trained in the arts of blacksmithing and its various crafts. He took her in under his roof and offered her what little he had. Raised her and trained her everything he knew and loved her like a father loves his child. From the moment they met to his last dying breath, he made sure that Lieryn had all the knowledge she would need to live her exceedingly long life and in turn, Lieryn promised to carry on his work with honour and pride, dedicating her life to becoming the best blacksmith she could be. A little while after her adoptive father’s death, Lieryn found herself sitting alone in her house. The light from the small fire she had lit dancing up the walls with a soft glow. It was late and sleep was calling to her, but something wouldn’t let her rest. And just as she was about to retire to her room, the sound of knuckles against a wooden door echoed into her ears. She stood there for a few minutes, debating whether or not somebody arriving this late would have good intentions. But eventually curiosity won her over and she opened the door to a fine Wood Elf man who she later discovered to be named Safon. Upon conversing, she told him that the house and blacksmith belonged to her and she then happily let him inside. She equipped him with new armour and fixed his sword, allowing him to stay the night to gather himself and be on his way. But when the sun rose the next morning he had not gone and instead decided he would stay with Lieryn, and help her around the blacksmith where it need be and slowly but surely, the two quietly fell in love. But Safon was a man of travelling and his soul craved adventure. Upon deciding to leave, he managed to convince Lieryn to travel with him. Leave behind what was left of the small blacksmith and go with him to see the beauties of the land. They currently find themselves on the coastline near Laurelin, back where it all started. Personality Traits: She has a habit of sharpening her weapons or polishing her armour when she’s really mad. She really loves to swim even though she’d only been a couple times as well as she loves to be inventive. However she dislikes pressure and gets stressed when a lot is asked of her. Ambitions: Hopes to become and extraordinary blacksmith. Strengths/Talents: She’s really innovative and can create nifty things out of seemingly nothing. Weaknesses/Inabilities: Socialising Appearance: She has pale-ish skin for a Wood Elf as her father was a High Elf (though she is not certain of that herself) and she has the familiar build of a typical Wood Elf, slightly on the short side at 5ft 8 with light brown hair and pale green eyes. She is very well built after spending so much time in the blacksmith and has scars drawn all over her hands from her time slaving over a forge and handling swords and various other weapons, although she covers those with leather gloves.
