  1. The Prefect of Providence, Henry Constanz, would read the poem sitting at his desk, a smile curling on his lips, "What a wonderful poem! Really captures the majesty of our fair city. I didn't know we had such a poet around, perhaps I should see if I commission some more work from her!" He'd be commenting to an uninterested and overworked notary sat opposite of his office table. The notary would simply shake his head, unamused with the Prefect's musings and continue scribbling down notes on his quill.

  2. Henry Constanz would read the letter, his participation as a judge in the tavern reopening coming as a small surprise to the man, he'd pen a letter excitedly, "Dear Tavern Manager Florian de Conti, I graciously accept your offer to judge the art contest at the Falcon's Overpass Grand Reopen. I look forward to the merriment that is to come!" @Kaii

  3. First Act of the Imperial Prefecture of New Providence

    12th of Owyn’s Flame, 1860

The City of New Providence is in dire need of direction and change after years of successive democratically elected Mayors that have been unable to address the needs of the people. With the suspension of the City Charter the Crown has deemed it fit to appoint a Prefect to summon a Committee with which to manage the municipal institutions.

    The Prefectural Committee as outlined in the Prefecture Act of 1859 has been appointed by Imperial Prefect Henry Constanz;

The Office of Magistrate shall be held by Baron Elijah Keen. @HeyitsNano

The Office of City Clerk shall be held by Sir Jarad Munnel. @JoshBright

The Office of Chief Taverneer shall be held by Lady Rainalyn Draskovic. @Rainalyn

The Office of Diocesan Coadjutor shall be held by Brother Henry Herring. @monkeypoacher

The Office of Cultural Curator shall be vacant for the time being.

The Office of Police Commissioner shall be vacant for the time being.

The Office of Alderman shall be vacant pending elections.

Though not included in the Prefecture Act, the Prefect of New Providence has seen fit to raise the position of Surgeon-General, currently held by Dame Diana Vuiller @PrettyCuteAnna, to the Prefectural Committee.

ISSUED IN THE YEAR OF OUR LORD; 1860

The Imperial Prefect of New Providence, Henry Constanz Novellen-Temesch

  4. Henry Constanz would lament the loss of a fellow grandee of the Diet. He'd have remembered their brief time locked in debates, having gained a large measure of respect for the eloquent yet eccentric Duke. "I hope he finds peace." The moment of brief genuflection would be cut short by a flash of anger as the statesman processes the tragic news and turns his attentions to those who caused his death, "These treacherous Sedanese will pay for the murder of one of our peers. He shall be known as a martyr soon enough."

  5. Though Henry Constanz might've outwardly displayed outwardly of a rabidly patriotic audience member during the courtly proceedings. He'd have felt a pang of remorse as he walked away from the court that evening, his stomach turning as he watched the young woman be decapitated. "A shame such a young life had to be taken so forcibly, I only wished she'd have repented so she'd still be alive today."

  6. I think Rams have this one in the bag under most conditions. A far more consistent team overall. Bengals definitely heated up towards the late season but show a proclivity for absolutely fumbling the bag in crucial moments. Rams have remained steady all season and showed consistently great gameplay. However my sportsbook is currently showing a +4 spread for the Bengals which I would definitely take. Rams moneyline is definitely the safer bet however.

  8. Thou-Shalt-Not-Commit-Apostasy Pulsifer would look upon the crater of Dobrov, a concerning reminder of the fateful disappearance of an entire castle, his buckled black hat billowing in the harsh Grenzer winds. The austere gentleman would scowl, "These dark magicks must be cleansed with fire and sword." He'd remark to his compatriots before walking off.

  9. Ezek Xetoun rubs his hands feverishly. The small goblin clad in silk robes would observe the fires burn, grinning with a manic glint in his beedy eyes.

"Yes-yes the fires burn and the Uzg begins a time-era of industry-might. Ezek likes-enjoys this very much-much. The fires bring money-gold to Ezek, yes-yes."

  10. Really do feel that most of the playerbase doesn't necessarily want to warily wade into another situation where we have to deal with a faulty plugin. It seems that the reality of minecraft pvp is that it is already relatively hard to organize multiple hundreds of people battling simultaneously. To tackle on somewhat needlessly complicated systems will always introduce variables that might fail. My only suggestion is until there is actually an ironclad plugin that has been stresstested and fixed over the course of months as it should be. I personally don't want to see the developers be overworked to rush out a plugin that the community feels is unnecessary. Let's reassess this and perhaps continue with a warclaim that relies on absolutely 0 plugins and is a simple field battle where we don't need to cross our fingers and hope these plugins work, which just irritates the players that spend hours just trying to show faith for their respective nations and have a simple and fun warclaim.

Josephine Aleksandra shook her head in dismay from her tower within Woldzmir.

For all her time reviewing the Orenian Revised Code, never once did it say that adopting neutrality was treason. Such strange, ever-shifting times the Empire found itself in.

Valentino Gradic mused in his apartment while thinking on the events of the day, "I hope they understand that calling for the abdication of the rulers they are sworn to is considered treason and that their bizarre declarations of neutrality had nothing to do with these decisions. Nonetheless, they mustn't be so obtuse, I'm sure they understand what this is in direct response to." He'd remark to no one in particular, a bottle of wine deep and feeling rather optimistic about events to come.

  14. I think nations and dynasties coming to an end does drive up the amount of meaningful change of power. The thing is stagnation naturally occurs amongst playerbases and throughout them. The mechanics should reflect roleplay taken to disrupt stagnation, which in turn benefits activity and player retention. Lickspittle and Madone both bring up absolutely fantastic points of which I'm in almost total agreement. It is extremely disheartening to be absolutely unable to do very little of substance as far as conflict is valued. This is precisely the sort of stuff that drives players off the server, is the inability to propagate meaningful change.

TLDR: Any system that allows for dynamic change has the highest chances of people getting invested and engaged. End systems that benefit from absolute clique control which stifle rp.

ISSUED IN THE YEAR OF OUR LORD 1851,

The Acting-Magistrate of New Providence, Valentino Gradic

((This is a forum roleplay post. Replies should only be players reporting their candidacies for Mayor and Assemblymen.))

  16. Valentino Gradic would lean out his window in his palace apartments and ponder the purpose of it all. The fighting, the chaos, the old man was simply tired. He'd most likely share Vasileia's thoughts on the matter of faith, for faith is what drove him to declare his support for Christoff in the first place. He wished for change and yet acted on it most unwisely, his fervor for reform too great for the man to realize his own failings. It was this despair that brought Valentino to drink upon that night.
