In-Character Information
Character’s name: Fursie Pistona
Character’s sex: Male
Character’s race: Goblin
Character’s age: Twenty-seven years
Biography: Fursie, like most other Goblins, always stuck to his machines. Unlike his brethren, however, he did so much less so out of necessity and more out of sheer passion. From the day he was first introduced to the craft of tinkering and metallurgy, he'd not spent a full day away from a fabrication shop in the city unless there's something he needs for his next project. His interest lay with machines of war, as was the standard, but his focus was not on siege engines or ballistae. Rather, he found that his true forte was in the smaller-scale items: Handheld weaponry and armor, to be exact.
Though his creations were never brought into the field, he never much cared. He was perfectly fine with creating a great number of personal engines, suits, and powered bows, only for them to sit in his shop and collect dust. He almost never brought other Goblins into his projects, either. To this day, he hasn't even brought on an apprentice, which only helped to further isolate him from others in Sanjezal. This changed, however, when he found that someone had broken into his shop and stolen a few small devices and their schematics. Rather than be enraged or worried, he was outright flattered.
The very idea that there might be a demand for his creations was a new revelation for him, and so he decided to expand upon his craft not only for himself, but for the sake of sharing it with others who might appreciate them. Of course, a shop in Sanjezal just wouldn't do for such a project, and so he decided to leave and build a greater shop elsewhere, where he'd build in peace and sell to the occasional passerby, unhindered by silly things like 'culture' and 'expectations'.
Personality: Fursie is obsessed with his creations, to a point that is unhealthy even for one of his kind. He sees nothing wrong in completely derailing a conversation if it means talking about them or working out a sale, and will usually never leave his shop unless he needs some new materials or food.
Ambitions: Though he originally created machines for the sake of self-occupation, he now seeks to expand upon his craft and share the resulting creations with those who want them.
Strengths/Talents: Fursie, like any Goblin, is a master Tinker, though he specializes in small-scale and personal items rather than things like seige engines. His weapons aren't mass-produced, and most have unique features even when compared to each other.
Weaknesses/Inabilities: As a direct result of his obsession with machines, Fursie isn't much of a people person. He lives in a world of his own, and doesn't even fit in well next to other Goblins. His self-isolation has even led to him developing an odd dialect that makes trying to talk with him quite the ordeal, even though he knows more English than most working Orcs.
Appearance: A runt among runts, barely reaching four feet tall, Sezrix usually covers himself in leather garments built to defend against the steam and fire of the workshop. Never leaves home without his trusty goggles, which have saved his eyes on many an occasion. (Favors leather armor in-game)
