Artozka was born on the 5th of The First Seed 1358 in Vailor. His father Alliion and his mother Naelen fled the Wood Elf city just as a violent coup was taking place by a rival seed. His mother carrying the squirming infant and father reached the city of Sutica, here Artozka would begin his journey. His parents worked diligently to provide somewhat of a life for their son as their belongings were all, but gone due to the coup. So, his mother fell back onto selling embroideries and his father setting up a small stall in the marketplace selling his wooden sculptures. In his youth Artozka was the stereotypical child, he played, ran, jumped, and swam, but there are some things that you cannot learn in the streets. His father taught him rudimentary swordsmanship skills and very basic archery. Artozka being rather amazed at his father's skills wanted to join to the local Sutican Guard, which at the time was vastly more competent than the Felsen Watch. Then at the age of 50 his aging father gifted his son his ironwood bow, Artozka stood in awe at the well-kept bow and examined inch of the well crafted weapon before noticing a small engraving which read, "Andria" or Hope. Not even a day has gone by before Artozka enlisted in the Sutican Guard, there he advanced his education on weaponry and strategies for battle. Though, he never did put those skills to use as Sutica did not encounter much than the occasional bandit. Artozka felt content, he was happy, his family was well, and he had Hope. Many years have gone by as Artozka has assimilated into Sutican Society, he has become yet another unimportant face in the crowd. The money to support his aging parents were coming in. Everything was well for the youthful Artozka, though one day during his watch on the Southern gatehouse overlooking a rope bridge and beyond an forested island he noticed a silhouette, then another, then another, then more and more came from the tree line. He called out to his comrades to check their posts and was told they saw nothing. Doubting any force that large would attack Sutica, he rubbed his eyes and carried on. Suddenly, a few moments later before his very eyes the trees adorning the island began to decompose, their leaves wilting and falling, leaving nothing but a solemn post. He could not doubt himself any longer and called over his superior, the old grizzled man grunted and uttered his last order, "Evacuate the city." With a firm nod and iron-determination he took a couple of his comrades and began to notify the city to evacuate, little did he know it was the Orcish Plague, brought upon the world by Orgon. Artozka reached his parent's home, barging through the door telling his parents to get their things and head out as cold sweat would run his cheeks. The aging couple refused profusely, Artozka's begging and pleading would fall on deaf ears. His father, the calm and collected old man placed a hand on his shoulder, "Go son, we are tired of fleeing." Those words would hit him like arrows to the heart, one last time he pleaded, his father and mother shaking their heads no. He collected himself and hugged his father, kissed his mother, for the last time as he headed out, he turned back once more to look at the house where he grew up, the streets where he ran with friends, and to the place he called home. He fled the city along with the others and boarded ships to a portal unknown. Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) Very stoic, though can open up to people he deems trustworthy. He likes reading, books, literature, and art. He dislikes the immature, the childish, and the ignorant. Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) His ambitions are unclear to him at the moment, though he wishes to settle down somewhere quiet maybe, a read away his days. Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) He considers himself a decent writer, other than that he does not boast of anything else.
