i really don't understand the obsession w/ submitting this, this is like the 3rd time i've seen a holocron post. you can already do this within current accepted lore.

It's not a joke, really. Also, there is no voidal magic community. You just have people who use voidal magic but do nothing culturally or aesthetically. It has the most potential and yet has the least amount done with it. The only reason Archons were trash is because of the above reason I stated. You guys want unrealistic playable voidal-creatures that do particularly nothing but strengthen you. I think the end-game should be something that is defiantly more realistic to what should happen when you meddle with the literal antithesis of creation (not turning into a blob of mana or becoming a floating magical knight of the void, but getting your organs and skin destroyed, turning blind and becoming fucked rightfully so).
There’s plenty you can do with voidal magic right now that doesn’t necessitate a CA. All of Squak’s feats and world lore have allowed a wide range of leeway for MArt creation; within current voidal magic lore, you can do some really crazy ****. Adding more fuel to the fire doesn’t make an uncreative community suddenly creative. The tools are there, more people just have to catch on.
You also drastically misunderstood me and Johann’s vision of what we wanted a CA to be. What we were writing at one point had only a couple similarities to original “archons” and were otherwise 100% conceptually different. I’ve got like 3 Google docs I can send you to prove this. Your proposition here is stronger than anything Johann and I ever created. Passive connection, immunity to fire and sharp weapons, increased speed, the ability to “learn more magic” as is described in the last few paragraphs. You claim to have written a CA that emphasizes the detriment of the Void, yet what you’ve made is unironically just as strong as Phil’s archons.

no more archonposting. im 99% sure this is a joke but voidal CAs are harmful to the voidal magic community. I would know

you don't really explain what imagini's are beyond the vague description in the purpose. however, i don't think this should be added to housemagery at all. very similar effects can be accomplished with transfiguration's "alter color" spell, as well as figments in sensory illusion. yeah, its harmless, but i'm really not a fan of housemagery encroaching on the aesthetics and cantrips locked behind fully fleshed out voidal magics.

edit: and tbf i can also see this devaluing the minority of artist roleplay to an extent. imagine spending years perfecting oil painting only to be trumped by some redditor housemage using his camera printing spell.

The following redlines ought to be added under the general redlines of "Enchanting":
Spoiler- Enchantments of any kind, Lesser, Potent, or Greater may not be placed on the Auction House or sold through mechanical shops by any player.
- Additionally, vouchers or items that "offer" Enchantments in exchange for the item in question may not be sold on the Auction House or mechanical shops.
Purpose
The aim is to cut down on the loud minority of Transfigurationists that place Enchantments on the Auction House strictly for a quick buck. Doing so sets a bad example of what Transfiguration Enchantments aim to achieve in roleplay. Although this doesn't stop Transfigurationsts from selling their crafts strictly for financial gain, it severely restricts them and forces people to meet up on the server mechanically or conduct deals in roleplay.

the xionists are the good guys and the protagonists AND the main characters. we're all just 1 dimensional background characters in their war on deities

Generally speaking, I would say that this is incredibly lacking for an addition.
I like the modify voice spell, with a small touch up I could see it being added to housemagery, but the scribe spell isn't terribly unique or useful. Housemages can already use their magic to have a writing tool go ahead and do its thing all on its own, although it is neat to generate the ink without the need to dip in an inkwell, its only a very slight change.
Aside from that, I'd say that I would want to see a little more content in an addition, rather than just one or two abilities
this is literally a few spells from Titanium's old thaumaturgy lore that the LT strongarmed him into merging into Housemagery. it doesn't need to be incredibly substantive, as it's just a couple neat cantrips.

if this was something that was done very early in the server's creation then i could see it and courier RP actually working, but tbh people are just gonna result to discord. i have no opinion on this matter and would not like nor dislike the removal of birds.

I’m assuming this was really unlucky timing since this came out relatively shortly after Squak posted Arcane Scions, but as Cal said above, it just seems like a catalyst for minmaxing. I’m not even a huge fan of Squak’s Scion lore, but I drastically prefer that over this. The concept of battle mages is popular in fantasy, but considering how vague Voidal Weakness has been and how much change it’s had to undergo, I really don’t want to see anything like this ever.

Came back to this a bit later. I guess I’m okay with this, but I highly suggest that Scions should be capped at T3 rather than T4 spells. If you’re becoming peak strength of your race, you shouldn’t be able to cast nutty spells, which many do exist in T4. Capping them at T4 only really allows them to miss out on like 3-4 spells if they have 3 MAs—not much of a drawback at all.

[✗] [Magic Lore] Voidal Seethes
in Denied Lore
Posted
Well, there is. It's called Warding and Abjuration, and it's built into Transfiguration. However, current Warding/Abjuration is pretty much purely ornamental since the Lore Team made sure to remove it of any practicality back when I was getting Transfiguration passed for lore games.
I brainstormed a few times with a standalone 1-slot Voidal Magic that had some dynamicity to it, but never got anything onto paper. This probably won't pass considering that there's a lot of issues with the mechanics in its own, but I won't state any of them because they'll get burned into your cerebral cortex when the Lore Team sends you your feedback.
It's neat to see that someone had a similar idea to mine, even though, quite paradoxically, it's nothing like what I had in mind.
