Q: Do you think there should be just one set of each building block or node? Or multiple? How would you scatter them throughout the world?
- I think multiple around the world is a good idea, but instead of sometimes hard to seeQ: Would you want to see different numbers on these building blocks? In yield or in harvesting times?
- I think most blocks should be equal yields of a stack or half stack with rarer blocks like coral being a lower yet not annoying yield
Q: Would you prefer a system where you physically break the block rather than right clicking it?
- I don’t really see an issue in the right click on a block to gather instead of breaking the block unless there’s a hidden performance thing.
Q: Do you think there should be a distinction between Niche and Common blocks?
- Make it so niche blocks don’t yield as much but keep the general node cooldowns the same, there shouldn’t be a real reason to make any real difference for niche blocks for decorations since that just makes building more annoying unless you’re buying a paste in
Q: Would you like to see a system, perhaps expensive tools paid for with mina, that increase your yield when gathering?
- I see no reason in making extra buyable or craft able special tools just for building blocks
Q: Would you like to see more Soulstone slots? What are possible benefits / consequences?
- I think the max SS slot should be 3 slots as it currently is
Q: Would you like to see the return of the Greater Soulstone for purchase from Cloud Temple? What difference should it have?
- No, there’s no reason to let people get more than 3 slots.
Q: Would you like to see a road placed before nations, or a road placed between nations shortly before launch? Why?
- Roads should be built before launch after the nations
Q: Should there be a speed boost on the main roads?
- Yes PLEASE
Q: Do you foresee any issues with the removal of hubs and reliance on beacons/pillars?
- I don’t see an issue of hub removal if the proposed CT being a different area happens, although if CT sent you to one main hub and from there branched to the settlements that would be nice. Nothing too big even maybe just a small port or something.
And I don’t really have an opinion on the titles stuff

Your subsections should include specifically 'Identification', 'Extraction', and 'Mixing'.
Please re-do your teaching emotes to include actual responses from your 'student'. Quote this post when done.
I apologize for my horrid forum formatting capabilities, but it should be updated. Thank you for taking the time to look over the app.

What magic(s) will you be teaching?
Alchemy
Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:
Alchemy is the study of the material realm through the signs and symbols that give objects properties. The study is not magical in nature, instead simply branching from the mundane within the veil. The alchemist studies objective constants in the world with the craft being morally gray in nature. It simply follows facts and logic based in
The study is mainly split into three sections, the material alphabet, reagents botany and processing, and potioncraft.
As an alchemist works more within their studies they will begin viewing the world through the lens of the material alphabet. The alchemist is driven to experiment and dream as they grow a desire to learn more about the world.
Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?
The base form of alchemy is split into three main sections:
The first is identification, which is how an alchemist identifies the signs and symbols of a reagent. The alchemist will break down the reagent into these components in roleplay, thus achieving the knowledge of what the reagent has. Tier one alchemists require a teacher or written instruction if they are being self taught in order to do this process.
Next there is Extraction, which is the process of extracting a reagent’s signs and symbols. Depending on what a concoction requires, or what the alchemist seeks to study with, there are different forms of extraction that can be done with a reagent based on the Signs of the material alphabet.
Finally, there is Mixing which is the process of reordering various reagent’s signs and symbols to make an alchemical concoction. Mixing begins with a base such as Aqua Vitae, similar to a starting broth in a soup. The alchemist will then mix in the various signs and symbols following the recipe of what they seek to create. When the process is finished, the Alchemist will have successfully reordered their reagents into a specific creation.
Alchemy also has subsections in the form of extra feats or rare potions. Tawkin, Animii, Infernal Alchemy, and Severed Alchemy are all examples of this. Feats and rare potions such as these must be learned through a player with the proper RP knowledge, or in the case of the feats that have a TA for that specific feat.
These specific sub-sections of alchemy generally have the alchemist delve into deeper subjects than just the study of the mundane and focus on dabbling in experiments involving flesh, soul, or tinkering.
Can you give an example of a casting emote, of a spell of your choice?
Fire Extraction:
Jack went through the various containers of herbs he had lined up in the lab, pulling out x3 Drake’s Tail and x1 Jailor’s Moss, setting them on the table.
Jack took the x3 Drake’s Tail, setting them on a metal tray before sliding it into the oven. He then lit a match with his boot to light it, closing the appliance in order to dry and dehydrate the herbs.
[!] Once fully dried, Jack pulled out the metal tray and set it back on the table. He prepared the pestle and mortar, setting the herbs in and grinding them down until the herbs took on a consistency similar to sawdust.
Jack shuffled his hand around in his pocket, pulling out yet another match which he struck alit with his boot. He used it to light the ground herbs on fire, letting it burn down to ash.
Jack took a magnifying glass, along with a pair of tweezers, leaning over as he inspected the ash. Jack looked around until he found x9 Fire | Heat; x9 Fire | Burning; and x6 Fire | Rage. He then set them separately in various Petri dishes before pushing them aside for later use
Mundane Extraction:
Jack cleaned out his pestle and mortar before setting the x1 Jailor’s Moss in, grinding the herb down fully
Jack then took the ground herbs, turning around to his vat of Aqua Vitae, lighting a flame under as he dumped the ground herb in. He let it saturate and boil until only a powder remained.
Jack then used the ladle hooked to the vat, scooping out the powder. He then took a sieve and set it up over the mortar, sifting the powder to separate the symbols
Jack finally took the magnifying glass and pair of tweezers, leaning over and inspecting the sifted powder. He picked out x3 Mundane | Instability, setting it aside in a Petri dish
Mundane Extraction:
Jack then prepared 3 containers filled with bee’s wax along with 4 vials. One vial contained the x9 Fire | Heat; one with the x9 Fire | Burning; one with the x6 Fire | Rage; and one with x3 of Mundane | Instability.
Jack moved to the stove with the containers of beeswax and vials of symbols, setting up a metal wire rack to set the container’s of beeswax on. He lit the flame and set it to low heat, letting the wax heat and become malleable. Once this was done, Jack set in x3 Fire | Heat; x3 Fire | Burning; and x2 Fire | Rage into each of the 3 containers.
Jack mixed each container with the symbols thoroughly before letting the salve cool, adding in x1 Mundane | Instability into each one. He then once again mixed the concoction thoroughly.
Jack then set up three separate paper parchments, each with an embossing of a bear that had a water moccasin wrapped around its body. He took each container of made Flaming salve, carefully adding the counts to each piece of parchment and wrapping them up for later use.
Can you give an example of a teaching-emote (interacting with another) of a spell of your choice?
Jack set x1 Drake’s Tail onto a metal tray, looking to his student “Today, I will be teaching you how to complete a Fire extraction. With this, you will be able to extract signs with Fire symbols attached to them.”
*the student looked to the tray, then to Jack “Why use a metal tray? Will we not grind the herb down?”
Jack moved to the oven, striking a match and lighting a fire within “We need to dehydrate the herb before we grind it down, otherwise the process will not work. It’s rather simple, but you should still pay attention.” Jack gestured to the Drake’s Tail. “Before this, you’d need to have a reagent that is compatible with the extraction, set it in the oven and it’ll dehydrate.”
*The student followed Jack’s instruction, setting the tray into the oven and closing it, letting the herb begin to dehydrate
[!] Once the student placed the drake’s tail into the oven, Jack moved on to explain the next part of the process: “Once you pull the herb out of the oven, you will need to grind it down with the pestle and mortar until it is like sawdust.”
“Will we sift it the same as a mundane extraction once it’s ground down?” student pulled the herb out of the oven, setting it on the table before using the pestle and mortar to grind the herb down fully
“No, we won’t need to sift it. For a fire extraction, you’ll simply have to light the powder on fire and let it burn until it becomes ash. That will reveal the Fire-Prefixed symbols." Upon seeing the herb now at the correct consistency, Jack then gave an affirming nod
The student took a flint and steel, using it to light the powder within the mortar on fire, watching it burn until it became ash. “Now I pick out the Fire-Prefixed symbols?
[!] Once the powder had burned down completely, Jack gestured for the student to take their magnifying glass and tweezers. “Yes, take a look and you’ll see them. Pick out three Fire | Heat symbols and set them in your Petri dish, we will be using this to create Will’o Fire.”
Given that by now the student knows mundane extractions, the lesson will move on to creating the potion.
Say your student powergames during or after teaching, how do you reprimand that?
Depending on the situation, I would explain to the student what they have done incorrectly oocly and make them repeat the rp correctly. If power gaming offenses continue to occur, or are severe offenses such as blatant ignorance of redlines, ST will be notified to deal out infractions. If need be, I will not hesitate to drop a student who continues to power game.
SpoilerAKA if they don't stop, stab them 26 times in the chest. Just as the Romans intended.
Do you have a magic(s) you are dropping due to this app? If so, link it:
Nope
Do you agree to keep the ST updated on the status of your magic app?:
I do.
Have you applied to teach this magic on this character before, and had it denied? If so, link the app.
Nope.

I can see the purpose behind the potion, but it seems like it’s too metagamey. Just being able to prove someone’s lineage gives but also removes from the whole idea of the rp behind those little noble cheating relations and such.
It basically just makes it: “ok guards cut them open we’ll see who they are related to” which at the end of the day is just kind of a cheesy way to figure out those ties IRP. It will become a case of “legal” metagaming.
Along with that chemistry in and of itself doesn’t exist because of alchemy, they are similar but not the same. Making a potion that’s just a DNA test seems modern especially when tech is pretty much capped to late medieval except for steampunk creations which still have limitations that make them seem more logical.
DNA testing is WAY too modern for the fantasy medieval setting, given irl it began in the late 1970s. If you look at techlock, its based on the IRL time periods that make up the setting we RP in and even then the farthest we go is steam power in the 1800s and only that far.

To all Balianites,
You may have found some of our work around the city. In case you were wondering, most of it was just for money and to let you all know that we’re around. That aside, you best get ready. We’re planning on coming around later in the year, and we expect a grand welcome!

I love the 2nd biome example, especially if a settlement or nation builds around the terrain, into walls, etc instead of just making a flat build on top, a mix of some good mountains, mesa's etc along with making biomes flow more.
Taking something like a mountain range moving into a plains / alpine desert with more depth would be interesting

Viktor read over his own work after sending it out. "Oh. I forgot to add that Ologs are welcome to compete against other Ologs, and special types of matches can be arranged for such."

The Aima Arena of Balian
Two combatants fighting with clubs
IntroductionA growing staple in the daily lives of Balianites is looking forward to arena events. The Aima Arena is the place that hosts just that. Various events where combatants go for glory, and where spectators go for entertainment.
For VIPs and Staff, there is a closed gambling and meeting room for events and business. Non VIP or Staff can be invited in for a gambling event or meeting if a member so wishes.
The Events
All events are based around having only up to 3 fights within that planned night; however, tournaments are also made where a type of match is chosen.
Cage Matches
-
Cage matches are the most common in the arena, being two completely unarmed and unarmored competitors fight until a winner is decided by knockout or by the event Warden.
“Open” Matches
-
Open matches are for competitors who wish to demonstrate their skills with weaponry. Open matches allow for the competitor to wear whatever armor they wish, along with carrying their choice of up to 2 melee weapons for the match. These matches are more dangerous, even with usually sharp weapons blunted.
-
Open Matches are won via gaining points dictated by the Warden as the match goes on. A competitor may also grapple and take out their opponent to win the match.
-
Jousts
-
Jousts are matches for show where competitors are mounted on horseback with a lance. A competitor wins by dismounting their opponent.
SpoilerAll matches are generally CRP, but pvp can and will be common when it's easier to do so.
Titles
The Arena offers Titles to its competitors through merit, and merit alone. Either from being the victor of a tournament or through performance in normal matches, various titles can be made or taken from others. For combatants who wish to prove themselves to be the greatest, “The Fang” is the one stagnant and volatile title the arena offers. This title goes to a competitor who soars above the rest by having the best ratio of victories to losses in their matches.
SpoilerMost titles will only come from CRP matches and tournaments
Staffing / VIPs
-
Managers help hire staff, plan and hold events, and make deals with prospective VIPs.
-
Announcers are needed during events to offer commentary and to introduce combatants
-
Wardens are needed to mediate a match, and to be in charge of scoring and naming a victor when needed
-
Medics are needed for cases where a combatant has been injured during a match.
-
Bartenders are needed to run the bar during events to keep a hospitable environment for spectators
-
Fighters are of course the main show, providing the men and women needed for matches
Along with the staff, VIPs are guests who have helped the arena in some way. VIPs can range from someone who sponsors a fighter in a match up to someone who sponsors the arena itself to help keep it running. Contact Viktor var Ruthern or other staff members in Balian for more information.

I get people dislike the change with the word count for speech, but if you really think about it when you're doing extensive physical activity like fighting you ain't gonna be talking. You wouldn't be in a hard fight singing sea shanties, you'd be focused on the fight. And given if you kept talking, you'd run out of gas faster and run out of breath. Talking while fighting also opens up more possibilities to bite your tongue off, and you know what happens when you do that? blood. lots of blood. then death.
And yeah, reading someone's attack emote but also having to cycle through a ton of dialogue as well as a essay as to how they are doing a horizontal slash from left to right is kinda dumb

As someone who's ran CRP events for communities before, sometimes it can be hectic to keep track of what's going on. Even if that's not really what happened, it's possible your character just wasn't in a good position, etc etc during the event.
Ive run events where people get "targeted" just because of their positioning, and even though it's possible it was ooc, I doubt it was. Reach out to the DM, talk in the community that it was hosted in about it and such and you'll get more of a flow with it.
In short, you shouldn't refuse to crp because it went wrong, just look back at what happened and change your approach irp or stay in ooc contact with the event dm and other players just to have a good scope of what's going on. Either way, my brain is jumbled right now it'd be easier to explain things another time.
I have an inkling of what event it was and I'd be more than happy to talk about it or other server related event things. (Discord is Aehkaj#6620)
