For centuries, the descendants of Urguan have prided themselves as master smiths, their craft treasured far and wide throughout the land. However, the art of smithing is not singularly found among the noble dwarven people - many great smiths can be found in Arcas.

To celebrate The Forge Father, Yemekar, we are happy to announce the approach of a festival hosted within Kal’Evraal, the gem of the dwarven nation of Urguan.

The festival shall celebrate the artistry and craftsmanship of any smiths who choose to participate. In order to take part, one must sign up and present their creation before three dwarven judges, to have their blade inspected and tested. The winner of the contest shall be given the monetary prize of 5000 minas and a coupon for a runic weapon worth 8000 minas!

Upon the end of the contest, a feast shall be assembled to toast the fine craftsmanship presented.

    The following nations are invited:

    -The Holy Orenian Empire-

    -The Principality of Aegrothond-

    -The Silver State of Haelun’or-

With the beginning of the war, the dwarves of Urguan have been training more than ever before. Knowing that the Brathmordakin supports their cause, the dwarves of Urguan shall take a break from their intense training and host a tournament in the stone halls of Kal’Evraal.

Blessed by Dungrimm have been the dwarves, who never run from fights, unlike their orcish enemies. To honor Dungrimm the God of War, a tourney shall be held in the next stone day, sponsored by the Grand Merchant and Legion of Urguan, to celebrate life and death.

The tournament shall consist of constant fist fights, the winner of the tournament taking the entire prize of 3,000 minas and a dwarven sword/spear.

  3. Uldraek Goldhand, would return after the great skirmish between dwarves and uruks in which the uruks surrendered. Upon hearing the official news about the war, he’d chuckle, the bloodstains still being on his blade after killing yet another uruk on the soil of Krugmar. With great joy, he’d prepare copies to send to his fellow Goldhands, preparing the militarization of Kaz’Ad’Hekkaes and dwarven patrols to cleanse Arcas of the orcish filth. With a last glance to the letter he’d say A’ knew dis would ‘appen, we will drown da soil ov Krugmar en uruk bluud. DUNGRIMM WILLS ET! he’d shout, before going on with his day, making great revenue for the Kingdom of Urguan.

Far on Arcas, in the dwarven fort of Khaz’Ad’Hekkaes, loud screams of pain could be heard coming from it. Those coming near could make out the words “Anvilaxe” and “Tungdil” followed by a dead silence...

Behind the wooden walls of Khaz’Ad’Hekkaes would be Ivär Goldhand, ordering his clan to do the unspeakable, killing one of their own. With the hate and disgust he had on Morag Goldhand, it was finally the day where he would take justice into his own hands. Not caring about the outcome, a sudden rally of the clan was called, to which the clan including Morag were to be present.

It did not take a lot, for the short talking ended, Ivär Goldhand ordered two fellow goldhands to subdue Morag Goldhand, which was indeed subdued in less than seconds by two goldhands. Dragged outside, Morag was left unconcious, while Ivär Goldhand prepared the cross on which he’d late be crucified. Placed on it, the first nail making its way through the palm of Morag, would wake the dazed dwarf which would later begin to shout curses towards Ivär Goldhand and its bloodline, praying while the other nails were to be set.

Not much after that, the dwarf would be finally crucified, with his last words calling upon the Goldhand ancestors, asking for forgiveness upon the rest of goldhands, excluding Ivär Goldhand from it, later to have a spear thrusted into his chest, which would be the end of life to Morag Goldhand.

Little would know Ivär, that a dwarf was watching, from the Irongrinder clan someone was there, and witnessed the atrocities done by Ivär.

It did not take much, for court was announced, catching Ivär unguarded. Quick plans were assembled, to which one of his great friends, would help into remaking the whole scene so it would look like it was under self defense.

And so it happend, everything was done, the only thing he had to do, was the hardest part. Lying to his fiancé so she would be helping him with his defense in front of the court. It took Ivär real tears to such thing, but through great words, it was done with ease.

Court day has arrived, to which the charges have been stated. With long hours of dicussion, it was finally time for the runes of Ogradhad to tell the truth. The key witness of the Irongrinders took it, followed by Okhud Goldhand and Grianne Goldhand, giving an altered version of what happend before.

After the runes have been viewed, the magistrates of Urguan have come to a conclusion, that of Ivär being guilty of all the charges called upon him.

With great rage and sadness, Ivär felt like there would be no meaning into living, quickly taking a halbred that was laying before him, slicing his own throat in front of the obsidian throne.

Fallen to his knees, and with failed attempts of Grianne Goldhand to help him, he was at the doors of death, with his last breath the dwarf muttering simple words, some that would haunt the dwarves with weak spirit.

With blood dripping form his throat, Ivär muttered slowly, but easy to heard “Hekkaes...will punis’...” with a couple of coughs, and his last breath he’d say “Urguan...”. After that, his body finally collapsing on the ground, becoming a pool of blood in front of the audience...

  9. Somewhere deep, far from the light of the sun and the dwelling of descendants. There would be figure, dressed in black cloak and an iron mask covering his face at all times. The news of his son killing himself would reach to his ear, to which he’d read the condemnation of ivar from the grandaxe clan. Reading, while having a cup of coffe, the figure would say to itself Enteresten’...as he’d scratch his beard.

  12. In response to my secret fan

    PlclCFj.png

    [!]

Ivär Goldhand would get hold of one of those strange documents that have been spread around people’s houses. He’d return back into his home to read the document. With a closer squint to the writting style, the dwarf would smile. In response he would send the following public letter.

It has come to my attention, that one of my secret fans has been around people’s houses, sharing a rather interesting document about my authority within Urguan, to which I shall gladly reply in this public letter.

To the question regarding my power within Urguan, they have been made clear in the Laws of Urguan and I even stated them at the event that incited the Unknown Dwarf to come and make his dislikings public.

As a Warden, for those like him who don’t know anything, I am dutied before the Kingdom to make sure that taxes are enforced on properties, such as houses, stalls, shops etc, and to manage the rest of our great Kingdom’s land by selling it to people, retaking inactive land from others and overall just maintaining the rightful soil of our people protected from possible tax evaders.

Now regarding the actions that have been taken during the trial of Charles The Bald. Nothing out of order, it seemed like a normal trial but the disturbance of Irongrinders about a grudge made everyone uncomfortable within the throne room. With intent to disturb the trial and stall it, the Irongrinders got up and took their weapons out, to which Utak Ireheart, the king of all dwarves ordered the Legion to seize all the weapons from the Irongrinders. And so was did, with my authority as Commander of the Legion, I have rallied the legionnaries present to the trial to get the weapons from the Irongrinders, to which Darek Irongrinder, the second Commander of the Legion tried to use his authority in response to our action, hoping it will serve as an order to the legionnaries. But as expected, no legionnarie with true loyalty to the Kingdom listened to one word of Darek Irongrider, instead the order of king Utak Ireheart and my command. No illegal actions were made that day by the legionnaries who acted in response to their loyalty to the king of all dwarves, but a show of bravery to stand against a tyrant party of angry runesmiths, ready to use the powers they have been given in order to respect the king’s orders.

And the last thing that I have noticed was that the Tax Office’s boxes have been filled with junk, stoping the right people of Urguan from paying their taxes. The boxes have been cleared, great thanks for the arrows of my secret fan.

I hope that the public concern raised by my secret fan, has been answered.

    [!]

The exact day when this public letter was released, a courier would make its way to the entrance of the fort of Legion of Mercy, dropping of a package intended for the Unknown Dwarf. Upon opening it, a colorful mask would rest there with a letter written by Ivär Goldhand, thanking his secret fan for coming forward. At the end of the letter, the stamp of Urguan’s Warden and Commander would rest.
