  1. Charlie Alstion stood on a hill, glancing at the fight from a distance - his head was full of dreams of becoming a knight one day. Despite the fact that he was not able to fight, due to his age, the Prince stood proudly with his bagpipes at hand and played for those who went to Stassion to avenge Edmund II and other Martyrs who fell in the attempted coup of 1952.

  2. The young Lord of Alba, Charles Alstion, stood on the walls of Whitespire and gazed westwards to the Marchlands, once part of his homeland "God chose his victors. Prepare the banners, bring my bagpipes. I cannot fight but I will surely play for you, my fellow Aaunites, when you go to battle." The Prince of Aaun said with a smile as he glanced to his left and right at those who stood with him

    WHEN KING JOHN COMES HOME IN PEACE AGAIN

    The song of the Alstion Loyalists

    Written by Lodewijk van Hoorn, in the year 1958

    WITH DEDICATION TO OUR KING

    John Alexander Alstion, King of Aaun, Prince of Alstion, Duke of Corazon and Balemena, Count of Enswerp, Florentine and Whitespire, Protector of the Realm.

    What seer can prognosticate

    or speak of our Kingdom’s present state?

    I think myself to be as wise

    as those who look now from the skies

    My skill goes beyond the depths of the pond

    or river in the greatest rain,

    by which I can tell that all things will be well

    when King John comes home in peace again.

    There is no astrologer then, say I,

    who can search more deep in this than I,

    to give you a reason from the stars

    what causeth peace or civil wars;

    the Veletz buffoon may wear out his shoon

    while running through the Aaunic lands

    but all to no end, for the times they will mend,

    when King John comes home in peace again.

    Though for a time you may see Whitespire

    with cobwebs hanging over the wall,

    instead of silk and silver brave,

    as formerly it used to have;

     and in every room the sweet perfume,

    delightful for that princely train;

    the which you shall see,

     when the time it shall be,

    when King John comes home in peace again.

    For sixty years this royal crown

    hath been of Alstions and of Aaun

    and is there anyone but he

    that in the same should sharer be?

    For who better may the sceptre sway

    than he that hath such right to reign?

    Then let’s hope for a peace,

    for the wars will not cease

    till King John comes home in peace again.

    Till then upon the Lemon Hill,

    my hope shall cast her anchor still,

    until I see some peaceful dove

    bring home the branch which I do love.

    Still will I wait till the waters abate,

    which most disturb my troubled brain;

    for I’ll never rejoice till I hear the voice,

    that King John enjoys the peace again.

  4. Charlie Alstion, a pious, young Crown Prince of Aaun sat in his chamber praying. He often did that. The Lord of Alba prayed for the health of his fellow Aaunites, for the health of his Royal Household and most importantly for the peace among the canonist realms - eternal one.

  5.

    [♫]

    On one of the balconies of the Royal Palace in Whitespire, sat a little boy. The young Charlie Alstion grasped little of the world around him and had other time-consuming activities - drawing, eating, sleeping, learning. He didn't care about fighting, he didn't care about the war, he was an ordinary boy. However when he spotted the returning soldiers - tired, dirty, bloodied and with no song on their lips - something broke inside him.

    "The bitterness of defeat..."

    The Lord of Alba furrowed his brows and shut his eyes as he spoke. He did not tell the maids around or his mother upstairs about the true pain inside him. He faced it alone, praying for a future success of his royal father.

    Good fight Veletzers and everyone else.

    Some win, some lose but it's a game afterall.

    Thanks for the fun last night and Merry Christmas !

  6. "The Dragon will behead the Bull. GOD will see to it.

    For Heirnich, for Edmund, for Walter and for Leopold."

    Aleksander Jazlowiecki said as he walked out of the ruins of Fort Breakwater, the mighty keep was conquered. The Lechian soldier then glanced at his comrades by the fireplace, the same men he fought with against the Veletzians. On that day, they were the victors, but their fight was far from over.

    It is the greatest pleasure of the Royal House of Alstion to announce the betrothal of His Royal Majesty, John I, and the good Lady Amelia Rose of Middelan. Amelia had served as the Mistress of the Robes to King Edmund II for the greater part of a decade, and has always been known to be a pious Canonist. Having worked closely together from the beginning of his reign, the proposal was given on the Seventeenth of Owyn’s Light, 1953 as witnessed by Her Royal Highness, Adeline Johanna.

    LETTER FROM AMELIA TO HER FAMILY

    To Uncle Gaspard, Aunt Saskia, Papa, and my dearest brother Gustaf;

    I apologize that you are to be told this way of my marriage. This war, this conflict has so ripped asunder the realms of Man - and so too has it made great injury upon my heart. It was you, Uncle Gaspard, Papa, that taught me to see the rightness of peace and justice and mediation. I had thought, once, that such a thing, that a lasting sort of peace, might be forged via a war against heathens and heretics and anathema. I had not thought that we would be that enemy.

    Though you are now anathema, and I can neither invite you to the wedding nor offer you shelter; I hope that someday soon we may meet once more, together under the LORD’s light.

    Repent, please, and His Holiness, and the Mother Church, might still forgive. Until then, I cannot support such violence inflicted upon the Canonist flock.

    GOD Guides,

    Amelya
