• Your Powergaming and Metagaming definitions are incorrect. Please refer to our wiki page on metagaming and powergaming for the server’s accepted definitions, just keep in mind that plagiarism is not tolerated.
• Your character’s background references Lore From Other Literature (the Lord of the Rings). While similar in many of its fantasy themes, LotC is not a Lord of the Rings roleplay server, it is set in a unique world with its own lore that is unrelated to the Lord of the Rings, despite the similarities in the name. You need to remove any references to other literature (such as Lothlorien and Caras Galadhon) in order for it to be accepted on the server. I’d definitely recommend checking out the LotC Wiki to start out. Feel free to also ask questions in the New Player Discord! I’ll link a few wiki pages here that you might find useful:
  • The elves page will give you a general outline of the race. You might find the wood elves page useful as well.
  • The realms page will give you a general overview/timeline of the server’s realms. The current realm is Arcas, but your character would have been born around the time of Anthos due to their age. 
  • The main page of the wiki has a map with all the current nations on the server. These are places that probably weren’t around in your character’s childhood, but that they may live in today.
• Your character’s Background is too vague. Please extend this to at least two decent sized paragraphs. You could include more information on things such as your character’s place of birth, upbringing, family, profession and any other important events that have happened to them. Try and refrain from using cliches like your character’s parents dying after their village was attacked by orcs. 
• The character Description field should only be used to describe the physical attributes of your character. This is a description of what another character would be able to see if they looked at your character, so exclude information such as being intelligent as this isn’t something that would be apparent to someone who was seeing you for the first time. Try and add a bit more description as well. What is their build/stature? Do they have any other distinguishing features that would stand out? Is there a way they usually stand or walk?
• Your character’s interesting Facts & Traits must be written as full sentences of at least five words.

This lore reference could be something like the name of the city your character was born in, the religion they follow or an event such as a war that your character has lived through. • The character Description field should be used to describe the physical attributes of your character, such as their build/stature, eye colour, hair colour and any other distinguishing features.
• Your character’s interesting Facts & Traits must be written as full sentences of at least five words.
• You must include at least one clear Flaw in your character’s interesting facts/traits. A flaw is generally something to do with a character’s personality/behaviour.
• While this is not at all necessary to change, I wanted to make sure that you’re aware your character’s age will mean that they will be considered something like a child or adolescent in most elven cultures. Generally speaking, elves aren’t considered adults until they reach at least 50 years of age.

• Karus is not a part of the server lore to my knowledge. If you think I’m mistaken, feel free to pm me here on the forums or message me through discord (my account is Aqua#5363). Because your character would have been born in the year 1707, they would have been born in the current map, ‘Arcas’, which was settled in the year 1705. The only village inhabited primarily by halflings as of now is Brandybrook, however halflings can live just about anywhere so feel free to explore the other nations and settlements that have existed during Arcas to include in your backstory.
• You must include at least two valid server Lore References in your character biography (other than your character’s race, family, a date or one of the server’s maps). This lore reference could be something like the name of the city your character was born in, the religion they follow or an event such as a war that your character has lived through. • Unfortunately your character cannot live in Kal’Azgaryum because this is a city from the previous map, ‘Atlas’ which is no longer inhabited. They may have grown up there but they cannot still live there today. The current capital of the dwarven nation of Agnarum is Kal’Varoth.
• Your character’s Background is currently a little vague. Please extend this to at least two decent sized paragraphs and include more information on things like your character’s place of birth, upbringing, family, profession and any other important events that have happened to them. This section needs to include a brief history of their past.
• The eyes on your character’s Skin are currently too purple to fit for a dwarf, and need to be made more blue to be able to be accepted onto the server. If you’re having trouble editing your current skin, feel free to check out the LotC Skin Archive for use and inspiration!
