  1. "WAR! GIVE ME WAR! **** YEAH! I WANT WAR! PLEASE GOD GIVE ME ******* WAR! LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" said a blood-crazed man who had zero stake in this conflict. Meanwhile, the asylum staff desperately tried to wrestle the man back into his cell, with one of the staff members even trying to lure him in with a snack.

  2. For decades, Viceroy Cesar de Pelear had dwelled in the Seven Skies. With none but his Granddaughter to keep him company for the time being, Cesar would often think back on his life with Laurelie. Was he too focused on ruling that he missed out on the important things? He had undoubtedly loved his Wife, but he feared that he had not loved her enough while he was on the mortal plain. He had so much that he had wanted to do - he wanted to have enjoyed his retirement with Laurelie, to make up for the years consumed by his reign, yet it had been cut short in the blink of an eye by the actions of his vengeful Son.

"Hmh. I must have been a shit Papa to have my own Son kill me." Cesar lamented. "I only wish I could have spent a few more years with her."

Then, when his wife finally reached the Seven Skies, Cesar thought he would weep. After all this time, he could finally right his wrongs. He could finally do all the things that he wanted to do in retirement with Laurelie. The best part - they had an eternity to make up for it. Cesar rushed to his newly-arrived wife and embraced her as gently as he possibly could.

tnt's are very expensive and he dug 400 blocks underground behind 60 iron doors.

Well I'll be honest I don't know what to tell you. But I also think escape routes should fit some sort of standard so they're not just 1x2 block tunnels. I clearly don't have the answers for everything and I am certain the Mods can do better than me. Also I think using an excessive amount of iron doors/trapdoors should be considered build scarring.

    Edit: I sleep

the NL hides in a very unreachable area of the city during the one hour notice what then?

Bomb them with TNT. (In all seriousness there are numerous tools to get Anywhere in a city. TNT damage self-repairs if I remember right, so just bomb your way through. It's a questionable strategy, but a strategy nonetheless. This is far from a perfect fix and I'll have a more coherent answer tmrw)

hot take though, yall raid at 3am and noone logs on because its 3am should the defenders have consiquences?

tbh we should just have a time period where raids are acceptable then. Hot take of my own but I don't think raids should be allowed when there's only like 50 people online

edit: imma join the mod disc so I can debate this there instead of the forums

nation leader loggs of and tells 5 people of his rally to fight it out so he technically had a rally that showed up. Nation nl doesnt get captured.

Not my point. I'm saying a NL should still suffer the consequences of a loss, whether he logs off or not. I apologize if that wasn't coherent enough in the last message.

If a NL loses, they suffer the consequences of losing. If a NL forfeits, they still suffer the consequences of losing. That's why it's best they throw everything they've got so they dont suffer the consequences by potentially winning. AKA, it'll encourage them to fight hard so they can try to prevent something bad from happening to them. I'm not saying "If they resist they should be exempt from consequences no matter what", I'm saying "Make losses hurt so people try not to lose".

Some may say this hapenned in frp but the only reason it worked in frp is their community, unfortunately the lotc community has grown a fear and hate towards conflict rp and now will search ways to avoid it at all cost.

but what if he has to "log off to eat"?
also this doesnt answer the main problem, the nation leader can just tell his entire nation to not log on and evade the raid

Good point. If a NL forfeits a raid they should be subjected to something similar to wartime raid rules.

    1. Capture the NL when they're online again

    2. Capture whoever the original target was

    3. Destroy a building or something

    4. I'm about to fall asleep you get the point with the consequences of giving up a raid

basically what this does is encourage NLs to fight it out, because if they forfeit they suffer the consequences all the same. By extension this encourages the community to adapt and be like "Shit, can't sit this out anymore" and actually put up Some fight rather than just lie down and let consequences happen to them.

  8. Just now, kazoo said:

Imagine, A nation leader is standing in a city that you discovered has a way in to enter and you want to capture them. And in order to capture them you know have to tell them that you are going to try and capture them an hour before. If the nation leader doesnt want to be captured he will just log off and tell everyone else in his city to log off.
This will be used as a way to evade all kinds of conflict rp by weak cocky nations

Solution: If an NL is online when the raid is announced, they cannot get off until the raid is concluded

  9. Also, I don't feel like this is a way to nerf bandit groups. This simply encourages bandit groups to evolve new tactics when approaching a raid. I know for a fact the Ferrymen have a record of beating anyone while outnumbered, but as for other PVPers you could always find ways to sneak in. TNT and Ladders are still available to you, and it's not like the raided settlement will know where you are coming from. You could always be sneaky and completely bypass enemy defenses somehow some way.

TL:Dr; I trust that this won't nerf bandit groups, but will instead encourage them to utilize more strategy

Side note: I'm tired as **** and I took Melatonin so I apologize if I am nonsensical

  10. This can easily be worked into RP imo.

Countries have watchtowers at the edge of their border. They notice a war/raiding party assembling in the distance. They warn the nearest cities and the defenders have time to prepare. If not that, then perhaps the logic of scouts and such

short little blurb on how this can be incorporated into RP

Add on: Don't restrict the amount of raiders. Let them throw everything they've got at a settlement.

  11. THE BATTLE OF THE SILVER MOUNTAINS

King Andrzej in the Battle of the Silver Mountains

Months had passed since the declaration of war by Lord Rogar of Henrik’s Holdout. Skirmishes between Native Cahirians and Rozanians had broken out all along the rural towns and villages, plunging the countryside into chaotic war. Hundreds were dead already, and thousands more would die before this war was over.

King Andrzej of Cahir could not stand the insolent raiding of his territory anymore. Lord Rogar’s forces had amassed on the border to prepare for a proper invasion of the Cahirian Crownlands, and King Andrzej would not stand idly by and allow his seat of New Roza to be besieged. The King, a man aged 71 years, had declared that he would personally lead his army to the bewilderment of his advisors. He commanded his Sons to remain in New Roza while he rode out to meet the Native Cahirian host.

Within a month the Army had been fully mustered. The King paraded his army through the streets of New Roza before finally setting out to seek Lord Rogar’s host. The Rozanian host marched for days before scouts finally reported on the movement of their enemy. Lord Rogar’s host had amassed at the base of the Silver Mountains, and it was clear that the Army had moved into formation in anticipation of battle.

The Rozanian and Cahirian hosts lined up on opposite sides of a wide field at the base of the mountains. After a brief parlay between Lord Rogar and King Andrzej, in which Lord Rogar spat upon King Andrzej’s horse, the two leaders rode back to their formations determined to do battle. Both lines began their advance whilst Archers loosened their arrows upon their foes. When the lines joined, the crash of steel and the screams of men was enough to make a battle-hardened warrior’s blood shiver.

The Battle soon found itself in a deadlock, with neither army’s infantry capable of outdoing the other. King Andrzej, allowing his impatience to engulf him, rode his personal bodyguard around the enemy flank and charged into the rear of the Cahirian formation. While at first this seemed to turn the tide, King Andrzej was oblivious to the trap he had found himself in. The sound of a warhorn bellowed from behind the King’s bodyguard, and in the distance he saw the personal banners of Lord Rogar’s cavalry. The Cahirian cavalry smashed into King Andrzej’s bodyguard, and the King found himself encircled.

The fighting continued for many hours more, yet at last the Rozanian commanders were forced to call a general withdrawal after not having heard from King Andrzej since his encirclement. Rozanian forces withdrew, and Lord Rogar’s men cheered with great pride and joy. The first Cahirian victory in the field over Rozanian forces had finally been achieved after decades of Rozanian dominance. When the dust cleared, Lord Rogar spotted the standard of the King on the floor. Lord Rogar dismounted and approached, and finally he saw the fallen body of King Andrzej. Lord Rogar took a moment to take in the sight and re-mounted his horse. He ordered the body of the King to be mutilated and burned before ordering his army to re-assemble.

Native Cahirian Warriors in the Sarissan Woods

Word had reached the land of Aevos; Far off in the Isle of Cahir, old tensions had begun boiling anew. For decades after the Oisinite Conquest of the Isle the native Humans of Cahir had been underrepresented, discriminated against, and outright oppressed by their Oisinite Rozanian conquerors. Generations of Cahirians had been brought under the iron-fisted reign of the Roza Dynasty, but with the passing of time came the growth of resentment.

The Henrik Holdout had for years existed as a defiant independent stronghold against the Oisinite Conquerors. Having held out against the initial conquest of the island, the cave fortress was a beacon and potential rallying point for the downtrodden Cahirians. The Roza Dynasty had made many attempts under the reigns of King Oisin and King Armitage to pacify the holdout, yet all that could be achieved was an uneasy peace. Both the Oisinite rulers and the Henrikian Cahirians knew that their mere existence could in the long run promote unrest against the Roza Dynasty, and soon enough the cracks began to form.

The passing of the throne from King Armitage to his heir King Andrzej brought hopes of new reforms. King Andrzej had in his years as Crown Prince promoted unity and cohesion among the two ethnic groups, even making promises to include Cahirians in his government upon his ascension to the throne. Nonetheless, months turned to years and the new Monarch had failed to uphold his end of the bargain. What's more, the new Royal administration had even increased the taxes of Cahirian citizens and lowered the wages of Cahirian Laborers.

In Cahirian-majority villages across the Isle unrest began to grow among the population. Protests were organized in the Royal Capital of New Roza, yet the local garrison cracked down violently upon the dissenters which sparked further outrage against the Roza Dynasty. The final straw was an incident in which a local garrison brutally suppressed a Cahirian rally, killing at least 50 Cahirians and later burning the bodies beyond recognition. This incident, called the Ashen Massacre by the Cahirians, pushed the Cahirian population into open revolt. Ethnic Cahirian Militias quickly formed and declared their intention to take Cahir back from the Oisinite Rozanians.

Even so, without proper leadership this revolt was doomed to fail. The various decentralized Militias turned to the one place that had successfully resisted the Rozanians before: Henrik’s Holdout. The incumbent Lord of the Holdout, Rogar ‘Breakjaw’, was at first hesitant to support the revolt openly and instead sent discrete support in the form of arms shipments to the Cahirian Militias.

Lord Rogar’s outlook on the revolt changed drastically when he learned of Oisinite patrols sabotaging his caravans and even raiding his outposts. This news infuriated Lord Rogar, and almost immediately he issued a declaration of war upon the Oisinites and summoned his own army. Cahirian Militias quickly began to flock to Henrik’s Holdout which quickly swelled the Lord’s ranks. The Cahirian Rising had begun.

    SE SIKAGON HEN EMBERS

Issued on the 7th of Dragon’s Flame of the year 5 AST.

With the triumphant settling of Dragonclaw Island and the ongoing construction that marks the birth of a new era, the Grand Principality of Aeltarys is elated to announce the arrival of two precious bundles of joy into the royal family. The news of their birth spread like wildfire through the realm, filling the hearts of the people with joy and anticipation for the future.

In the early hours, as the first rays of sunlight gently kissed the mountaintops of the snowy tundra, the royal couple welcomed their twin babies into the world. Their pale hair, as white as snow, and their light eyes captivated all who beheld them. Swaddled in the softest pelts and warmest blankets, the royal infants were adored by their subjects, for they represented the very essence of hope and prosperity for the principality.

The firstborn, a Princess, made her grand entrance into the world seven minutes ahead of her sibling. Though her cries were brief, her coos soon filled the air that enchanted those who listened. She is lovingly known to the people as HER HIGHNESS, Princess Saerehnae Rhaenys Valraenos, a name that evokes grace and strength.

Her brother, the second-born, followed closely behind, announcing his presence with a powerful wail that resonated through the hearts of those gathered at the clinic. HIS HIGHNESS, Prince Alaehra Aemon Valraenos, carries a name that speaks of bravery and valor, a fitting title for the Prince.

As the news of the royal children's birth spread throughout the principality, questions arose regarding the issue of succession. However, the royal decree states that the heir to the Grand Principality will not be named here. Instead, the future heir will be determined among the children of the royal couple when they reach the age of majority. Their work ethic, skills, and meritorious value will be carefully considered in this momentous decision, ensuring that the realm is led by the most capable and deserving individual.

With celebrations echoing across the snowy tundra and the warmth of joy permeating every corner of the principality, the birth of Princess Saerehnae Rhaenys Valraenos and Prince Alaehra Aemon Valraenos marks the beginning of a new chapter in the history of the Grand Principality of Aeltarys. The people eagerly await the future, filled with hope and excitement, knowing that the young heirs hold the key to a bright and prosperous tomorrow.
