  1. Marcella, the eldest of many children, heard news of her late mother’s passing through word of mouth. It had been many years since they had last spoken and it dawned on her that she would never have the chance to rekindle their friendship. Left weak in her knees she collapsing into a tavern chair. “Bartender I need your strongest ale tonight.” She paid what was owed and spent the night drowning her sorrows and regrets away.
  2. As her twin brother, Arnaud, approached and spoke she would shake her head in amusement “Oui, but you held no doubt,” she replied softly before embracing Arnaud. Béatrice had a wide smile on her face and it would persist throughout the joyous day. @KaiserJacobII

Alda was born and mostly raised in Norland. As her last name suggests she come from a family of bakers who owned a tiny shop on the outskirts of the city. Business was hard for the family. Her mother, Sylvia, was a loud and rude woman who if left in the front of the store scared away any customers. This caused the poor girl to grow up to fast, by the age of eight Alda was already out on the streets running errands by herself or she could be found taking orders of the rare customer who would wonder in. Spending so much time around her mother Alda slowly picked up some of her more rude traits, but she knew she could not become like her mother so she hid it behind a sweet mask. When Alda was nearing the age of 16 her family was struck by tragedy. The bakery they called home caught on fire due to a mistake Alda made. Her mother screamed and yelled at her, forcing her to make a choice, so she chose to run. Alda traveled for days along the mountain range of Almaris until she stumbled across a small cottage where she met a kind boy name Fredrich. He brought her inside and she met his family, having no where else to go she decided to stay. The family was nice and treated her like she was one of their own and soon Alda started showing her true personality. She did not mean to be insensitive to their feelings, but she did not know any better. Fredrich quietly began to dislike her and one day he snapped. They were out cleaning up an unfortunate patch of crops that were rotting. It was clear it had had been there awhile by the smell and Saffvil growing on them. Alda commented how the rot looked and smelled like Fredrich's mother's cooking. Apparently that was the final straw for him and he began yelling at her, telling her how much he hated her and how she was not like the girl he used to know. She reacted of course with a shocked and pained expression, because to her this all came out of nowhere. With tears in her eyes Alda stormed inside the cottage and began packing. Friedrich tried reasoning with her but she told him his words were true and that she was glad he told her how he truly felt. Alda bit her tongue after the words left her mouth and at the age of 22 she left the only place she knew to treat her right. Unlike the first time she was ready for the adventure ahead of her, wherever that might lead.
