Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) I nod very politely as I settle myself next to the hag, observing her with a mix of curiosity and respect. "Quite the place you have here," I begin, my voice low and measured. "I do not mean to pry, but does melancholy ever wonder? It is quite... depressing." I drag the cushion closer to her, adjusting my position to be more attentive. After making myself comfortable, I humble myself by downwardly tilting my head, taking a sharp breath in as I gather my thoughts. "I've traveled far from home," I confess, allowing a hint of vulnerability to seep into my tone. "Not that I have much of a home to return to anyway. But thankfully, my mother and sister are safe, thriving even... or at least, I thought they were." My words hang in the air for a moment as I lift my head and look her directly in the eyes, seeking some understanding or perhaps a kindred spirit. "I've set out on a journey," I continue, my voice imbued with determination, "to become a healer. Not just any healer, mind you, but the best of the best—the only one capable of curing all known ailments." My fist clenches tightly, a physical manifestation of my resolve. "I wish to help the needy and the poor, to mend the broken both in body and spirit. Every step I take brings me closer to this dream, but it’s not without its challenges." I pause, remembering the faces of those I've encountered along my travels—some full of hope, others shrouded in despair. "There are days filled with doubt, where the weight of the world feels unbearable. I've seen children suffering, families torn apart by illness, and I can't help but wonder if I can truly make a difference. Yet, it's precisely those moments that fuel my determination. It's why I keep moving forward, despite the obstacles that lie in my path." Looking back at her, I soften my expression, revealing a glimmer of vulnerability amidst my aspirations. "I believe that healing isn’t just about the body; it's about the soul, too. In a way, perhaps that's why I feel drawn to this somber place. There’s a depth here, a richness that speaks to the struggles of life itself. I intend to learn from every encounter, to gather wisdom that can guide me on my journey." With a deep breath, I sit a little straighter. "Do you believe it's possible to heal the world, even when it feels so broken? Your wisdom would be invaluable to someone like me, so eager to learn and contribute." I glance around, taking in the unique ambiance of her dwelling, hopeful that my words resonate with her shared experience as I reach out my hand "I'm I'ke" the photo is some art I've done :0
