Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” Faiyn stood in the doorway of the tent, squinting her eyes as they adjusted to the soft glow from the candlelight. She scanned the interior, confirming her own trust and comfort in the old woman sitting in the far back. She'd drop her bag by the door, furthering into the tent. Faiyn let out a soft sigh as she stopped Infront of the cushion, plopping herself down onto it. She shifted her attention back to the woman, brushing her hair behind her ear, "Passing by? Not too sure me-self. I need to find a place to settle," she paused for a moment as she leant in to the woman before speaking in a serious tone, "I need a home. Kin has been far and few, its only getting worse." She inhaled sharply, leaning back as her eyes narrowed. "If I could just run a tavern somewhere-" Her voice was almost desperate, the silence stinging the air as she was soon lost in thought. After a moment a tad too long, she shook her head, ashamed of her own rambling. Faiyn's eyes flicked up, falling on the hag. "Ye' didn't ask for my baggage, just my story. . ." She let out an uncomfortable cackle, running a hand through her hair, "Sorry bout' that, ye' might s'well just consider me a traveler." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Faiyn was born to a family of high elves, after her mother had a one night stand result in a pregnancy. Of course, fertility is hard to come by so her mother kept her, albeit viewing her as less for not being pure. Though she had a good educational background, she always had been interested in the food industry. A good ale and turkey leg could fix just about anything. She soon took up working at the local tavern, getting to know the many faces and different people. Her village faced a bad raid resulting in a large sum of her family being murdered, though they tried to recoup from it but the damage was done.
