Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Caedric entered the tent waving his hand across his face, clearly bothered by the swampy smells. A lute was slung over his shoulder, and he seemed confused by the hag's words.
"Hello, wonderful lady. I don't believe we've met, so I don't quite understand how you'd be expecting me."
Nonetheless, he bowed kindly- his right leg behind his bent left knee, and open arms to the side.
"I am Caedric Greenwood, a travelling bard by trade! I was just passing through and thought I could cheer the place up a bit." He brought his hand up to his mouth into a whispering motion, and lowered his voice. "It seems it may need it..."
After a moment of awkward silence, he picked a cushion to cross his legs on, and began his tale with a naive smile.
"Not much story to tell, really! I was born and raised in a humble village. My mother was a talented musician and taught me everything I know about instruments. My father, may he rest easy, taught me the basics of survival. I've only recently left the village to pursue my dream of becoming a bard.. I'm sorry, who are you, exactly? Would you like a song?"
