  1. Two years of LotC. Hurrah.

  3. Kalgan the uruk writes in sloppy handwriting. "Mi buy fer 33 shiniez - Kalgan"
  4. Velik, standing armored next to his brother Victivus, seems to simply be uncaring to the events around him. Although he chooses not to wear a helmet, his face mask still covers a majority of his mouth and cheeks. He decides to merely stand in silence, not having anything to contribute unless requested of him. A sudden light coughing emits from him, getting progressively worse as he simply sits down. Finally as his coughing ceases, he takes a few seconds before getting back up, acting almost as if it never happened.
  5. There is a power that rivals the parent killing orcs. This power is... The halfling shovel!
  6. I consider it making a compromise. Give players both sides and let them go crazy. =P
  7. I believe at the end of the week, on Friday.
  8. PVP, it was practically all we had at the time. But people think putting PvP will bring us back to those times. We simply had a friendly community, not seventeen guilds all against eachother or people constantly waging racial wars and then getting angry about if. I would've thought the orc/dwarf conflict would've made that clear, but I guess not. Players have been at eachothers throats, but I don't think that'll change if we use a different paintbrush.
  9. Well, I'll try to address this post from top to bottom. We've always had ban reports. If it isn't in one aspect, it'll merely be in another. However, now we have a key thing in ban reports to solve the problem. The whole "Proof you've attempted to solve the situation and stuffs" or something like that section. Should we have to have lore on every little thing? If I grow a special kind of mohawk that looks pointier than anyone else's, should I have to make lore for it? If I can dodge your attacks pretty well and I happen to specialize in unarmored fighting, is that really so ridiculous? Players will still be at eachother's necks, but instead of for powergaming, it'll be "This guy's a sucky villain cause..." or "he didn't do enough rp to...". Nothing will change. Ban reports will regulate as always. Apps have existed since before we used RP fighting. They weren't made to quell powergamers, they were made to sort the elite (for lack of better words) RPers from the rest. Also something everyone forgets is that these apps are infact optional and not necessary for anything you do not OOCly push your character in the direction of.
  10. Since so many seem to really want for somebody to do this, I'll suppose I'll attempt to refute these points. Let me just... -Puts on safety helmet-.
  11. Please, speak for yourself. I've had roleplay fights that have ended with me and the opposition talking about how much we enjoyed the scene and how we hope we could do it again.
  12. If you haven't realized, we're nothing like Aegis anymore. We're not fighting undead here, we're fighting racial groups and such. Another reason why the server had so many players is because the application was ridiculously easy. My friend wrote how he was tortured by a necromancer and he was accepted, even though the only necromancers existing were pretty much the undead. The server in general was just simply more laxed. It was not just because of PVP default, trust me. I'm sorry Void, I think I might have worded my response poorly. What I was meaning was that if there was going to be such splits in the server, they would likely try to act in appeasement of the largest split as they believe this would have less effect. It's like a horrible robot once said! The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. No side is right or wrong in this arguement, but we can do just that. Argue.
  13. How else could we had done this though? If we simply counted post, there would be too much clutter and it would take forever. No matter what, the playerbase will complain. I suppose it's merely a matter of who would complain more.
  14. No. I acknowledge we have it in our roleplay. I don't roleplay every single piece of bread eaten in great detail because do I expect anyone to look at me and reply? No. Because in real life, you do not eat every fifteen seconds when you go for a mild walk. I've walked 24 miles to my mall and back in the summer heat and stopped only four times for water, never once food. Essentially a friendly form of Knockout which two players can agree two via command which will have it so the losing player is merely "knocked out" instead of exploding into items.
  15. Do we not acknowledge that we have such piece of bread in our character's possession. Do we not RP we are building such constructions. Do we not RP we are cutting down such trees. Sure, we do these things MCly, but what does that provide? None. You're simply filling the IG stats and requirements that you need because of our current medium. You should read the thread from start to finish, or simply skip to the end. Believe it or not, the playerbase holds an amazing amount of influence on some decisions. This is on of those. Not everyone wants PVP, they should be allowed to voice their opinions out loud.
  16. And when they say no because they simply want something to kill? Then where are you? You're screwed.
  17. And if it wasn't a mage? What if it was the same situation, but with an archer. Most of that experience which seems to have obviously satisfied someone without any drama or anything wouldn't had happened according to the new plugin*.
  18. Some people like extensive fighting that has usable tactics. One of my characters use a shield. Where will he fit into your plugins? He won't, simply put. How can I really roleplay out my character grabbing someone by the neck to yank them out of a building and throw them into the dirt? I can't. How can anyone RP say kidnapping if the person they were attempted to take fought back and ended up dead? They can't.
  19. PVP did not make the server so popular. It was mainly the whole "Undead nemesis" thing. PVP was merely our current and only way of combat at the time.
  20. You're right. There are still many aspects of RP. However, this only concerns one. You will be removing the current combat aspect to replace it. It doesn't stop RP, it just stops combat RP.
  21. If you watched the livestream, you would've actually seen that Knockout will be removed and replaced with a system where the killer gets about 10% of the victim's items while the rest are thrown to the void (except bound items).
  22. Please, "effing" explain this to me what I obviously haven't read up on. If I wanted an RPG, I'd play on an RPG server or that thing Vaq invited everyone to.
  23. The plugin simply makes the game more RPG like rather than actual roleplaying. Again, it's simply like playing some RPG like Runescape or something. You level up skills and supposedly have those, but really, the combat is just basically who can click faster.
  24. You're simply cutting out combat roleplay. You're not adding anything whatsoever. People will have more time to put into walking around and talking I suppose, but we already do that. Please don't make it sound like you're gifting us a whole new experience of RP.
