  1. Farrren shakes his head as he listens to the young dwarf

"Bah! T'is is basicleh tu Kings Council, except tu onleh differance is t'at tu King is tu overseer. Ah say we just re look at our guilds an try an improve 'em. No need fer t'is w'en weh essentialleh 'ave t'is alreadeh. We just need tu actualleh work wif tu system we ave. Instead ov removin it an puttin it back in again under ah differant name. So ah vote nae, we need tu just beh more proactive wif our current systems. An' actualeh follow tu regulations stated in tu articles. T'is is nae needed, because we've alreadeh got it.

An nae tu t'eh guild. Ah see nae point, isn't it  tu job ov tu Remembrancers an Clergeh tu preserve our way ov life? Spreadin it tu all t'ey can? T'is guild is nae needed... But ah agree wif tu tavern meetins. Ave been in too maneh ov t'ese Kings Councils meetin w'ere we run out ov ale. Tu closer we're tu t'eh drink. Tu better tu meetin."

  2. A rather tubby Tunnel Mew, stinking of ale stumbles towards head of the Alchemy Guild. A stone tablet held surprisingly firm in it's jaw, as it continues to staggers forwards. Dropping it next to you, before collapsing on the ground nearby. Beginning to snore loudly. You notice a series of markings on the tablet, making up  a series of words. It reads:

"To the current head of the Dwarven Alchemy Guild,

I'm writing to you for reasons I shall explain in more detail in this letter. Firstly I would like the inquire if the alchemy guild would like to participate in some research I've been conducting as of late? I've been experimenting with different types of ores, mainly thanhic ore. Trying record out their properties in great detail. In hope that they may lead to further development of their use. Not to mention leading to discovery of new substances. If you would like to participate, I would ask that you use the Tunnel Mew I have sent to bring to message to me as soon as possible. The more we time we waste, the closer our enemies may be in discovering the secrets of these materials before us. Putting them to use against us.

Secondly, I would like to enquire into the state of the Alchemy Guild itself.  I will not lie, it has been of some concern within the Kingdom for sometime the state of the Guild. I would like to hear from you about your feelings on the matter?  As you may have noticed our Kingdom is going through a great time of change. With this new transformation we the guilds, that serve as the arm and legs of the Kingdom must also change. To operate well enough in this new era. Undoubtedly there will be a meeting soon about this. But for this transformation to be effective we must keep within contact of each other. In order to successfully improve ourselves for our people. So in accordance with that, I would appreciate reply soon.

    Ogradhad guide you,

    Lord Farren Starbreaker

  3. Bumping this slightly so that newer Dwarves can see this and post their thoughts on it.

A quick idea how about we start hosting build competitions in roleplay? Annually, similar to the stone tree one we've had. W

You may be wondering how is this relevant? With the loss of Omithiel, Exodawn, Thoak as well as many other of our prime builders. We've kinda lost our ability to create great builds at the pace we did in the past. So this would enable us to find new Architects/Builders to lead the building in the new map when we get to  it. As well as promoting more builds of quality in our current map. It's a bit of fun anyway, and Spuller is I think we can all agree our greatest builder at the moment. But one guy can only do so much.

Moving on to the second point, I've noticed that our cities in a Snow Biome from the live-stream. Judging by the looks of things we're going off a Markarth design. Should we think of having some sort of redstone lamps under the water to keep them flowing? Or allow them to freeze over? Or even request for some of the biome to be changed to fit in with the build. Although saying that, we may change our minds as time goes on.

Also another idea how about we start thinking the locations of our farms. Tree Farms, food farms, ect. I mean we don't want them too far from the city. But to some degree we need to start thinking where we put things. Maybe the new generation of Dwarven Architects could be the ones who do this? At any rate thoughts? Good? Bad? Meh? Or just no... Plain no?

  4. You notice an odd creature approaching you, similar to an ocelot it approaches you with a stone tablet held in it's mouth. The words "Tunnel Mew" clearly marked on it's collar. You notice some strange markings on the tablet. At closer inspections you notice these strange markings are words. The stone tablet reads:

    "To Mister Drake,

I'm here to ask you to consider employment within the Dwarven Kingdom. Although you may be an mage and not a dwarf. We the sons of Urguan, value hard work. You're more than welcome to join one of our Kingdom Guilds. Which offer a variety of work for those who're seeking employment. Do not fear prejudice, although there may be some initially. If you prove yourself, you will find yourself quickly accepted as one of us. Although you may not be one in body. You might well be accepted as one in soul if you prove yourself that. Below is a small example of guilds and the type of work they offer within our Kingdom. I've taken the liberty to state how the skills you mentioned might be of assistance.

    • Yemekars Pick - These are the Kingdoms labourers. Some may refer it as grunt work, but it's a highly honourable job. Since they are the ones that keep the Kingdom running. You can be assistance here by gathering resources, such as lumber from the nearby forest. Or ores from our mines. We pay in proper minas for good work. If you're interested in this work you might want to speak to the current Yemekars Pick, Lord Onar Stormhammer [[Kowaman]]
    • Klazrel Barimmar [Otherwise known as the Engineers Guild] - You mentioned you're proficient to some degree in the magical arts. Your skills may be of use here in the development of new technology. Although be forewarned, we're currently experimenting with Thanhic Ore. It's highly toxic to your kind. If you're interested I would advise getting in contact with Rehki Irongut [[bov61]]. If he is not around, then I suggest asking King Indagoh himself [[xSpullerx]]

There are many other types of work available in the Dwarven Kingdom. These are merely a few examples taken from our notice boards. You may find more information about them easily from our notice board, littered throughout the Dwarven Kingdom [[Dwarven Subforums]].

P.S  - A forewarning if you decide to accept this deal. We Dwedmar value secrecy highly, so you would be advised not to break our trust. Many examples of those who did can be seen on display outside the Kal'Ithrun on pikes.

    May Yemekar guide you,

    Lord Farren Starbreaker"

  5. As the Cockerel lets out a cry, heralding the start of a new day a figure is seen creeping into the Druids Grove. Clad in a dirty garb, decorated by a random assortment of objects the figure advances further into the grove. Shifting nervously, as he continues forwards. Before placing a mud splattered letter upon a small boulder located under the message board. Scampering away suddenly with the sound of birds taking flight.

    "My fellow brothers and sisters,

For many years now I've secluded myself from you. I did not do this out of hate or any spite for the Order. But rather at disgust with myself. When I was a dedicant I was in such a rush, to learn quickly and become a fully fledged druid as soon as possible. Thinking that once I was attuned that everything would be clearer. That the Aspects would light the way so that I could help lead the people of our land into a new era. One in harmony with the Aspects. But it seems, I neglected my teachings, becoming more and more obsessed with this vision. Such is youth...

Once I was attuned everything changed. I was not filled with this feeling of glory and enlightenment. But rather a feeling of shame,  at my own immaturity. As such I decided It would be best I venture forth in this world to rediscover the path the Aspects have laid out for us. In penance for my foolishness. For many years now I've been a wandered, living with nature. Yet I come no closer to the answers I seek. But I suspect that the Aspects shall guide me in the right direction eventually. At present though I still continue to wander, re learning all that I did so that I may serve the Aspects faithfully.

So although I may wander into the Grove from time to time, I'm afraid I cannot stay. But suffice to say, that I apologise for my distance from the order.  In time I may return permanently, but for now I shall follow natures guidance and serve my penance. For only when I'm truly worthy to be called the "Turtle Druid" shall I return.

    Aspects watch over you all,

    Durdin Amnek. "

((Just though I would make an rp explanation for my inactivity with this character. At any rate, apologies for not playing him often. I hope this clears some things up. Sorry for the crude post. Happy roleplaying!))

  6. Tunnel Mews are sent out to the remaining members of the Remembrancers, carrying Stone tablets in their mouths. The inscription on the drool covered tablet stone.

    "My fellow Remembrancers,

It may have not yet  reached your ears yet, but our fellow devotee of Ogradhad has gone missing. In light of the recent circumstances I think it would be best to call a meeting to discuss the future of our order. You may bring anyone with you that you feel will contribute to the discussion. More Tunnel Mews shall be sent forth with more details in regards to the location and time. I would like to stress that we're on the crossroads, what happens  in this meeting could effect the future of our Kingdom depending on the outcome of our discussion. Whether we use this opportunity to change, or to stick with the path laid out before us."

    Ogradhad guide you all,

    Farren Starbreaker. "

((With Bazians departure, we're in need of re-organisation. I'll send out PM's to organise a meeting, and mention this in the skype chat. Similar to what I've stated in the clergy thread, the meeting would be preferable held in game. But if people can't make it, I'll make a thread for us discuss it on. Feel free to bring anyone along with you as long as it's a dwarf. Happy Roleplaying! ))

  7. A Tunnel Mew is dispatched to all current members of the Clergy, bearing a stone tablet in it's mouth. The inscribed letters read:

    "Fellow devotees of the Brathmordakin,

It might have reached you by now that our former High Prophet Morgrim Grandaxe has passed on. Dungrim watch over him as he is auctioned off to the gods, may he find true peace in the halls of the Gods. But if this blow was not enough, it seems that the Gods have called forth Bazian to depart us. Leaving on a mysterious journey without a word. In light of recent circumstances I'm calling an emergency meeting all members of the Kirkja Dverga as the remaining Prophet. Yemekar takes and Yemekar gives, we shall mourn these losses. Yet we cannot tarry, we must act swiftly to ensure that the faith carries on as strongly as before. An official date for the meeting shall be sent out soon.

    Glory to the Brathmordakin!

Farren Starbreaker - Prophet of Yemekar"

((The PM's shall go out soon, depending on if we can get everyone on or not. We'll be either holding the meeting in game or over the forums. Although it's preferable to have it in game, if circumstances demand we shall have it on the forums. Happy Roleplaying, and I hope to see you all in Kal'Ithrin soon in the future for that meeting!))

  8. I'll start off with some criticism, from what I've seen Dizzy he can act... Badly under pressure. But to be fair, this is months of accumulated pressure and hate directed towards him. Also this was in the past, so it's most likely to have changed. Not to mention we're all human, I've seen many others act exactly the same in that type of situation.

Otherwise as other players have stated he is normally a cool level headed guy, knowing what he's doing most the time. He's also a very good roleplayer in my opinion, I've always enjoyed his roleplay. And his Smithing roleplay to say the very least is good, which is an achievement. Because getting smithing roleplay right is difficult, trying to make it detailed whilst enticing the player to a degree getting them involved and actively enjoying the roleplay. He's created events in the past, which have been great fun. His odd timezone also makes him good for those groups who can't easily get events. So +1 , Dizzy is good and would be a great addition to the ET in my opinion..

  9. Farren pulls a copy of the note from a notice board as he strolls through the Dwarven Lands. His mouth slowly contorting into a smile as he reads the letter. Bursting out with laughter as he finishes. Before running to find any nearby dwarf he can, to talk about the letter.

"Is t'is ah joke? Tu Black Scourge ah threat! T'ey're merely rats in comparism tu Ondnarch, they're chill is like ah fart in comparism to Ondnarchs mighteh chill! Bloomin norf'eners, t'ey all be too soft. It's tu bloomin heat ah tell yer. Turns t'eir minds tu moosh! An guess w'ut 'e wants us tu fight wif tu uman! Our enemies, w'en we're not even at peace. Ah would raf'er trust ah cross dressin orc t'an ah bloomin 'uman. T'ey 'old aneh pacts, breakin t'em like nae tomorrah! Ow can we trust such filth wif our backs? Te'y'll most likeleh turn against our exhausted kin at tu end ov tu fight. Nae tu mention t'is knife ear wants us tu fight, tu bleed and die. Just tu give it land. It's ah bloomin joke, if nae it's ah mockereh. Sure we're eager tu appease Dungrims wrath, but nae fer tu sake of ah knife ear who's tounge is so twisted, t'at yer will need ah sword tu cut through it. As it can nae be untied. It seems t'is elves tounge is extroardinarileh sharp. Nae! We should nae fight, sure ah good scrap is always nice once in awhile. But fer t'is louseh elf? Ah would fight maybeh wif tu 'umans, if t'ey nae stab us in tu back. But tu give ah dirteh elf land? Nae! We should 'ave is ah neutral area ah tell yer! One w'ere weh can 'ave our nation meetins, wifout tu pryin eyes ov t'ose blasted monks. But bah! Ah may beh rantin, wut du yer f'ik meh kin? Sure ha scrap is nice, but nae fer ahn elf. If we fight we fight fer our kind, nae ah dirtleh elf tryin tu take advantage ov us.

Ah mean Anthosian Commanlwealth? Is t'at ah bad joke, onleh one person has ever had claim tu ownership ov t'is land. An 'ese Thorin Grandaxe,  Dungrim watch over 'im. T'is Usurper seeks tu defile tu achievements ov one ov our late King. Ah'll nae see t'at... Thorin tu onleh one who's can claim owneship ov Anthos. Nae t'is fraud, who calls 'itself tu bloomin Magistrate. Pfft! Hogwash, if anyfin ah reckon we should send one ov t'ose Ire'earts who 'ave ah f'ing fer t'em wierd elfeh's tu aquire one ov 'em eares fer t'eir trials. It'll du us an Anthos ah favour!"

  10. Considering the lack of Starbreakers as of late, I'm going to add the roleplay reasoning linking to this event. I'll add a load of fake Starbreakers to the list. Feel free to invent some more, I'll fit them into the family tree somewhere.

    • Berren Starbreaker (Farrens twin Brother. A very stereotypical Cave Dwarf, highly racist yet taking great pride in his clan. Dissatisfied with his Brothers actions he led a score of Dwarves from the Starbreakers to join the garrison in hope that they may better serve Yemekar. Without moving from Kal'Azgoth. It is said, he stole a score of enchanted items from Farrens forge before he left. They may be found scattered around the deep roads or the events. [Just some armour ideas]. His hair colour is dark red. ))
    •
    • Droer Starbreaker (Son of Berren, from one of his illustrious visits to the Tavern.)
    •
    • Nirin Starbreaker ( Son of Berren, the twin brother of Droer. They most likely fell together, as they gew up together and were inseparable)
    •
    •
    •
    • Thir Starbreaker ( One of Wang Starbreakers eldest Children. Unlike his sister who eloped with a mountain dwarf, Thir did not disappoint his father.  Developing to become a "true" Cave Dwarf. Ultimately becoming very Snobbish and arrogant. Leading for him to underestimate the threat of Ondnarch. Which as you can see lead to his death in this event)
    •
    •
    •
    • Relvak Starbreaker ( Farrens oldest child, currently most favoured child. It was he and his twin brother Farren invested most of his time into. Relvak was most gifted out of the twins, having a natuaral affinity to Smithing, rarely seen since the time of Gotrek.  Investing his time in teaching Relvak and his Twin Balvak most of his secrets. Naturally, Farren was angered when the twins volunteered to server as Smiths, to supply the garrison defending against Ondnarch with weapons and armours. But it seems they payed the ultimate price for their bravery. You can add some enchanted or unique items as a result of these characters. Since Farren taught these twins runesmithing + golemancy before they died. Although they might not have written anything down, he would have most likely made an enchanted item at least. And possibly a golem. So this may be an idea for a future event.))
    •
    •
    •
    • Balvak Starbreaker (( Whilst his older brother was a gifted Smith, Balvak followed an odd path for a Starbreaker. The path of a warrior. Although he earned the scorn and disapproval of his Father, this dwarf was a gifted combatant.  Inheriting the warrior blood from Gotrek, rarely seen in the Starbreaker line. Whilst his brother forged the weapons it was he who forged wielded the weapons. It is thought that in the early parts of the fight with Ondnarch. Paying the ultimate price along with his brother.))
    •
    •
    •
    • Dronar Starbreaker (( Son of Thir Starbreaker, like his Father he inherited his arrogant traits. Treating his cousins with scorn as he believed that his bloodline should have inherited the title of Clan Father. It is most likely he fell in the initial attack, as although he was arrogant he was mostly useless. Mainly boastful, without anything to back his claims up. ))
    •
    •
    •
    • Yuanna Starbreaker  (( Wangs pride and joy, unlike her sister she did not elope with a mountain dwarf.  Butt instead married another cave dwarf to keep the bloodline "Pure". Unlike her older sibling, she did not develop a sense of self importance or arrogant. Rather more humble and understanding, due to her close ties with her sister who eloped. She volunteered to join the garrison after the death of her husband. Seeking a place to die.))
    •
    •
    •
    • Orina Starbreaker ((The Eldest daughter of Yuanna, with many of her kinsmen joining the garrison she chose to take part. Seeing it more as a clan matter than that of the Kingdom. Orina it seemed, developed to be arrogant and headstrong. Similar in some ways to the Paragon Yudora. It is said she always carried an amulet honouring the Paragon around her neck.[Possible event item] ))
    •
    •
    •
    • Yuril Starbreaker ((The Youngest of Yuanna's three daughters. Like many of her kinsmen she signed up to join the garrison, but rather than inheriting the dutifall spirit of her mother. Yuril took after her aunt more, seeking to elop with a certain Mountain Dwarf present in the garrison. Unfortunately during a raid, her and her lover where ripped to pieces by Ondnarch minions. It is said she carried a token of Annabella on her at all times for good fortune. ))

There may be more, feel free to ask me if you wanna add more. To be fair there may be errors, I'll rectify them at a later date. I might add more if I feel like it. But I think that's enough for now, it easily explains the clans lack of numbers as well increasing the death count.

I think due to the religious nature of these Dwarves we could add some amulet items. Or some just random items, for added rp events. For example "Token of Annabella" , Journals, armour, weaponry, or even some random items with insignia's of certain clans, ect.

EDIT: Colour hair would be as stated on the clan page.

Hair color is often rather dark that becomes white with age, red hair however is not unheard of. All of them have grey skin as found with normally with Cave Dwarves.
  11. ((Due to my long inactivity as clan leader... I've decided to redo this clan page, to create a fresh start to some degree. I shall be making an new post within the next few days. It may be delayed with my moving back home for the Holidays. I apologies for any inconveniences that I have caused. At any rate, hopefully there should be more events. As well as more roleplay. If you have queries about the Starbreakers or any questions in general. Feel free to message me over skype. Farrenthefallen or on the forums. It's about bloody time, pardon my language I take this seriously. Expect fun and some craziness in the future... The Starbreakers shall return! ))

  12. Ouity! What a brilliant guy! Sounds like I'm sucking up a tad, but that's my honest feelings in this situation. He's quite often a level headed guy, focusing on improving things, rather than simply pointing out problems with things. I believe his ingenuity and tenacity to some degree will be a great asset to the ET. When I actively part of the Druids, active or inactive Ouity was one of the primal figures trying to create events. Even for people like myself who're of a completely different timezone. I'll be honest, when looking at the Druids Skype Chat, Ouity's always there offering good suggestions. Trying to give good advise without over criticizing. So in short, working with people rather than against them in what he does. Developing current roleplay as well as trying to create unique situations. Creating fun for players old and new.  I believe his experiences, ranging from Aegis to Anthos are another great asset. He doesn't continue to rant on about nostalgia often, but remembers the flaws to some degree in the past. Trying to create fun events that cater to certain groups, whilst looking at the far past and its issues as well as the current. To cut this short ( so that I don't rant on, haha!), Ouity is a great guy, and he truly cares about making fun for peoples. +1

Edit: My only qualm would be activity, but from what I've seen he's been quite active lately. But who knows? That's my only concern in regards to this application whether he'll be active or not once he achieves the role.

ps. No matter what you say, you're always Quity :P

  13. A tad rough around the edges, but give him a chance and he'll truly shine. I've heard some of his event ideas, and I'll be honest I was astonished. He's inventive as well as bringing a new twist to events. I think although his rp isn't the greatest, he certainly has potential. Give him a chance, and some guidance. You won't regret it. Noobman as his name suggest can  be a "noob" at times. But he truly cares about the server. Sure like all of us on this server he complains from time to time. But he seeks to improve it in his own way, and I think the  rank of ET will help him achieve that. Give him a chance. If he messes up, then we can all see I've been talking out of a very unpleasant part of my body. If not, then the ET has gained a truly unique member of the community. Who's although not widely known, is like a dusty piece of jewellery. Although dusty, once polished it shines.

Ps. I suck at comparisons! Haha, but as I said Noobman although rough around the edges certainly has some great ideas. I would suggest if you accept him have him go under the wing of an older ET member for a few weeks. To learn the ropes as well as develop himself. He's good, once you give him a chance. Doing so will benefit both the ET and him.

Edit: I'll add some criticism to balance this out a tad. My only issue with Noobman is that he does give into pier pressure to a degree. That's why I suggest if he gets accepted putting him under the wing of an experienced ET of the same timezone as him. Allowing him to develop a tad more independently as well as gathering more experience. That will hopefully help him mature a tad as a person. Allowing him to make more independent choices. Thus becoming truly an asset to the ET.

  14. Farren lets out a long sigh, wiping a small tear from his eye as he hears of Mogrim departure. With a loud roar, he growls at his clansmen to leave the hall, letting him sit there alone. Deep in sorrow, his hands gripping firmly on the hammer of Ardol.

"An so leaves anof'er piller of Dwarven Might... It seems t'at tu Bloodline of Valen Grandaxe is destined fer greatness tu an extent. But who knows? Wif tu departure ov Morgrim will tu rest ov his kin step up, tu reclaim tu gloreh t'at was lost wif his death? Morgrim even though he was ah dirteh mountain dwarf, was ah friend. Ah true dwarf, an one who would always a've yer back in a fight. Goodbye Morgrim, even though we argued ah lot, yer were ah true Dwedmar. Yer may rest now, we will continue yer work. Dungrim must beh happeh tu aquire such ah skilled dwarf. May Dungrims hall grant yer ever bliss! An may yer will pass on tu yer kinsmen, who shall pick up tu torch. Leading our kind tu newfound greatness."

((Seeya Zezimoose. It's been great Rp'ing with you. To be fair, you were one of the cornestones of Dwarven Roleplay. So this blow is truly a heavy one, that will be felt for many months to come. I hope whatever lays ahead of you will provide you fun and joy. You're contributed so much, so good luck! Thanks for all the hard work, I'll be sure to pester you on skype for help! Haha! Good luck you english piece of '...'! LotC has lost one of it's greatest and friendliest players. Also #Meh, late reply :P ))

  15. It seems you don't understand the difference between runesmithing and enchanting. They're quite different, but you can get similar effects if you do it in a certain way. Down to the players creativity. So for the most part this is enchanting, since runesmithing isn't just limited to the same things enchanting is.  Even though they're very similar.. Also there's barely any runesmithing (Soon tm), so this basicly mainly applies to enchanters. If Runesmithing was the same as enchanting there would be no point having it... But I've digressed.

At any rate, it'll be interesting to see how this goes. I have to agree with the point Lark stated you need to limit it to a degree, with anyone making these weapons. It devalues smithing rp and magical rp. Since anyone and everyone can just simply make one, without having to go to someone proficient in those sections. So I would suggest maybe doing as Heero stated giving out some recipes to people who're recognised as proficient enchanters and runesmiths.

Continuing off my previous points, this does devalue to some degree event items. Since magical items are now easily obtainable to everyone. Which in turn kinda killing profession rp. Not to mention makes events less rewarding. I agree though, get it in then develop from it. Also any ways to limit the enchanting? So we don't get master OP weapons, which was the reason they get removed in the first place. So in short I kinda agree with the concept, not so much with the method.

  16. Up to you really. If you want some estimate I would look at the Ageing system on Skippy's thread Dwarves and compare it to real life age for marrying. To be fair though, most of the Dwarven population is from a pint too many, accompanied by a trip to a brothel. But yeah... Just use common sense, a beardling wouldn't be married. Neither would an teenage dwarf. Sure maybe an arranged marriage, but not formally married yet.

    Edit : Credits to Skippy's Guide http://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/56452-dwarves/

100 + In accordance to that guide. Any younger and the dwarf would be considered a child

*From birth to about the age of 50, a Dwarf is a Beardling. A Beardling is young, with about the maturity of a toddler. They have yet to grow their beards, only having a bit of stubble on their faces

*Between the ages of 50 and 100, a Dwarf is Adolescent. Although they are far more mature, they are inexperienced to the world around them, and are looked down as children by their elders. They are very rash in their decisions, but some of them begin to contribute to Dwarven society at this age

*Past the age of 100, a Dwarf is considered an Adult. It is now that they have the most freedom, and the most responsibility for their actions. Dwarves gain more respect the older they are. At the age of 600, a Dwarf is considered “Old” and is an elder among the other Dwarves. Dwarves usually live to around 800.

Dwarves live much longer than humans. They can live hundreds of years before they finally die out. The dwarves mature in a different way than most other races. They count their age in seasons. Each season is 7 years.

  17. Just gonna touch up a bit on the Druid point. Agreed Elves should respect Nature, but Druids? I would say it's more of a extremist form of elven ideology. Having been a Druid during Asulon where we retook Elandriel, one thing I've noticed is that druids are selfish. And are so god damn  self entitled. Like honestly, you should listen to me because I'm a Druid. All Elves should be druids! I don't blame the Elves for not adopting druidism. I wouldn't say Druids are the Elven Religion, but rather part of it. We don't offer that much these days, and are very much to ourselves. Let the Elves form a religion with Druidism as a part, although more of an extremist branch of it. They don't need the Druids breathing down their necks, making their demands because they're their religion. Druids do offer good things, but we've never really acted well as the Elven religion. And I think it's about time we actually realised our own folly instead of blaming the elven population completely. But being a tad controversial I agree the Elves need to respect nature and have an understanding of druids to a degree. Maybe disagreeing depending on how their personal character is. #EveryonesEdgyinsomeway.

((It's 3am so I'll write another post to clarify my views on this matter tomorrow. I'm tired so it may have been worded incorrectly, so it's subject to change. At any rate G'night))

    ps. I'm still a Druid. #Druid4ever

  18. Interstin..... Su wut shall weh du? Let t'is nation comparable tu ah babeh grow so t'at t'ey may eventualleh prove a challenge? Or kill it so t'at it may nae stand up tu oppose us. Added nations always upset tu balance, at any rate only time will tell. But as weh all know Historeh repeats itself, an Alras can nae escape it's fate if it chooses tu same path as it did in tu past.

  19. Uhm, this server is called lord of the craft...i like the idea and a lot would enjoy such a thing. But i dont know...where we can poot up a giant mountain of nowhere.

Make a new island or... We could use multiworlds. Give it a go if it sounds fun, sure the actual story/lore doesn't really mesh, but edit it so it fits into  LoTC a tad more. Which shouldn't be that difficult considering LoTR is one of the many influences upon this server. My only qualm is how few people can go to this event. Let all those who want to go participate. Adapting the event to the number, for example you can split up players with collapses in the tunnels. Forcing one party into an rp fight, the other in a mix of pvp/pve fight. With this in mind you might want to consider making an event plan.

In regards to the actual lore, just tweak it slightly.

  20. I say Quality > Quantity. You get more information with open-ended questions.

Sure you can collect more detailed information. But with less people filling it in, it'll not be as representative of the community's views. Thereby getting rid of the point of the survey. Especially one that's meant to be a "community feedback survey." That shows the whole community's views, not a small portion. Not that many people fill them in anyway online + real life. It's more about striking a balance between quantity and quality.

  21. In regards to Sparoe's survey, I would say less open ended questions. It takes a long time to fill in, and most likely less will fill it in because it'll take time. So although you get less data, on you get more people. I would say the format used by Lego's one is ideal, with open ended questions for the most part optional. Even though there are some that are required. I don't really want feel overwhelmed with those large boxes.

Edit: Please also add an "indifferent" option for those of us who don't really care either way. Or "other" if their answer doesn't really fit into the category's given.

  22. You see a large scroll hammered onto the notice board outside Kal'Ithrin

    "My fellow smiths,

In regards to my recent inactivity, I apologise. I shall address this now, with re-inventing this guild along with myself. We shall restructure and re-organise. For too long have I kept the arts of Runesmithing and Golemancy to myself. I shall include them into the training for Chosen Smiths of the Guild officially from now on. As well as teaching the more experimental forms of smithing officially, along with the implementation of group activities. For too long we have idle, now is the time to make the people of Anthos remember who're Yemekars chosen.

    May Yemekar guide your hammers,

    Farren Starbreaker"

((I'm going to make a new post, and purge of all members. If you still want to be a member send me a pm or just post on the new thread going "Hey I'm still part of it". There's no need for the app, if you're already a member. Even though the apps auto accept! As I mentioned in the rp post, the guild will be reorganised to include more events, not to mention runesmithing. I might try to get some enchanters who're smiths to join for the non dwarves as well. Which I'm unfortunately going to have to delay posting for a few days, due to deadline assignments. So the new post + other cool stuff will be in a weeks time after that hectic stuff. Happy roleplay to you all! -Dave.))
