I think if Arcane Magic was JUST Arcanism, Transfiguration, Mental Magic and Telekinesis it would force everyone to be a lot more creative and would leave the elements to shamans and nature to the druids...

I mean, Arcane Magic can pretty much do everything everyone else can do already besides healing. I'm just saying throw out the stuff other magics can do (animals, plants, elements) and make arcane magic more unique so it doesn't take up other magic's niches. Plus it will make the most complex magic way less... uh... complex.

I believe any sort of interactions players have on an ooc level automatically detracts from the rp. Not so much that ooc is distracting but it takes away a certain spontaneity about it. I believe many can attest to the fact that rping with someone you are ooc friends with, have regular interactions with on skype, ts, or just ooc chat is very difficult or at least awkward. (If you can rp with someone you know very well on an ooc level all power to you). When rp occurs without ooc planning or ooc manipulation it becomes much more tangible and interesting. When I rp with people I am in a skype chat with, I personally find it near impossible to have serious rp, all rp tends to end of trolly or at least dull and predictable.
Also, conversations do not need to be had in local ooc. People don't need to put emotes in local ooc when do something cheeky in rp, they don't need to comment on the rp in local ooc. Unless something concerns a large group of people any sort of ooc interaction can be done through /msg. I guess people just feel a need to show others what they think of the rp on an ooc level...

So apparently there's such thing as tier 7 and a tier 8, and blundermore and ambros are tier 7's? What the hell? This is a legitimate thing, too? Why the hell wasn't the playerbase told by the MAT?

I have always and only been up to Tier 5 on anything (when the tier system was a thing). So funny how people make me out to be a "special snowflake" when I have never expressed being anything like "tier 1000" or some crap like that. I know 3 types of sub types of magic, way less than some people here.
