  1. Da Ugluk Klan

The Orcish clan of Ugluk is recruiting new members. New orcs who have lost their bloodline are more than welcomed to join the Ugluk clan. We will train you, teach you the ways of our elders, and give you housing and war materials. The clan is not exclusive, any orc is welcomed as long as they are honorable and klomp alongside their brothers. [[Also, anyone who is interested in starting an orc character should considered joining. I would prefer you get into TeamSpeak when playing your orc. This would help communication ten-fold and excel your learning of orcish culture and language. If you do not know how to start an orc, pm me or message me.]]

    MC Name:

    RP Name:

    Age:

    Any Skills(Blacksmithing, Farming, etc.):

How would you benefit the clan?:

  2. Actually, I found a way to make it very efficient.

Now, to answer everyone else, food takes days to expire, if not a week. The only thing that expires in 8 hours are raw meats.

Bread, originally placed at 1 day and 12 hours? Yeah that was too little, that's why I probably explicitly stated that the times were placeholders?

I'm surprised there is a topic about something still in beta stage, it's not even on the main server, and I even have a your view for it. The intention behind this is to wipe clear the old foods and make room for new foods and keep farmers in business. So yeah it shouldn't affect anyone particularly. Play daily, go to your local baker once in a while and pay them some coin for their hard work.

Bakers produce food that can last two times, if not triple the times that you see, so buy foods from bakers! And great farmers!

This opens so many doors folks, and if you think people are going to be dying lots initially, you start off the game with 10 hunks of bread, and stone tools. Not enough? Easy to add more. I don't even need to have monkbread anymore and can simply give people some bread upon respawning. (not enough bread to encourage repeated death to exploit, lol that'd be just wasting time).

Yes, I do like the dependence of farmers and bakers. Will food spoil in your inventory when you are offline? And will raw potatoes and wheat spoil as well, like their cooked counterparts?

  3. With 4.0 coming, new plugins are in the works. Nexus, being the name for the group of plugins, comes with many features. One being food being able to spoil. I for one think that puts too much stress and work to just being able to eat. I want to know what the server thinks. If you would like to elaborate on your opinion, feel free.

    Pros:

    • Increase trade greatly
    • Gives farmers more value
    • With trade, creates rp and more nation trade relations
    • Bandits have reason to rob a farmer, possibly carrying loads of food.

    Cons:

    • Makes starting out very hard
    • Gives too much attention to gathering food
    • Causes great confusion for new players.
  4. Have you ever wanted to play an orc? Never really knew how to approach starting a character? Well I invite anyone wanting to play as one to join now. This post won't be a race guide, but more of a 'how to start' thread. I will inform you of the basic things that go on in the orcs rply and oocly.

    Daily Orc RP

Orc rp is centered almost entirely around conflict. So. if you do not prefer conflict or pvp you can still play an orc and have fun, but it would be a different experience. Orcs show their strength through war and combat. In peace and war times, they compete against each other in arena duels called Klomps. Shamanism is the other half of orc rp. Some orcs are not really involved in it, others spend all there time rping it. The orcs also speak in a dumb down version of the orcish language. This is called the blah.

    Clans

The orcs are currently made up of five clans, Gorkil, Lur, Ugluk, Azog, and Sandru. Each clan has its own unique customs and history. If you would like to join a clan, pm a clan leader in game or over the forums telling them you are interested in joining their clan.

    Gorkil- Current Wargoth: Grool'Gorkil (VonAulus)

The Clan Gorkil is the main clan of the orcs. They are known for their brute strength and numbers. Other than that, they are meant to make up the bulk of the orcs army. They are currently small in numbers.

    Lur- Current Wargoth: Boul'Lur (Sneakyclownz1)

The Clan Lur is made up of skilled hunters and shamans. They are very spiritual and are known for their wolf mounts. They are currently average in numbers.

    Lur Threadhttp://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/104024-lur-clan-new-post/

    Ugluk- Current Wargoth: Nux'Ugluk (GavinTheViking)[Myself]

The Clan Ugluk is made up of skilled axe-wielding bezerkers. They are a sub clan of Gorkil. They are currently average in numbers.

    Ugluk Thread: http://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/102582-the-ugluk-clan/

    Azog- Current Wargoth: Erik'Azog (erik0821)

The Clan Azog is made up of pretty average, but still deadly orcs. They are also a sub clan of Gorkil. They are currently high in numbers.

    Azog Thread: http://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/89743-the-azog-klan-recruiting/

    Sandru- Current Wargoth: Fydizh'Sandru (Space0fAids)

The Clan Sandru is made up of mostly shamans. Still a militant clan, they are very spiritual. They are currently average in numbers.

    The Orcs OOCly

The orcs are very laid back when it comes to the server. We do not try and do everything in our power to win, we just play the game. Some of our members can be immature at times, but we turn out to enjoy ourselves most of the time. We rarely post ban reports, even if we have 100% right to do so. If you to join want a low stress, laid back community in LOTC, the orcs are prime for that.

  5. Sand settles as weapons still. Nux is now the new Wargoth of the Ugluk clan. He helps Malog up, headbutting him soon after. He quietly goes off to his blarg, spending the rest of the night there, pondering on a few ideas. He emerges the next morning. Nux walks up to a few goblin messengers. "Ug bruddahz, mi vunt ah mezzuge zent ut" says Nux. "Wut ut beh?", reply the goblins. Nux responds, "Tull ull Ugluk klan membahz ta meet ut Ugluk tunt un azh twiggeh week." The leader of the small band starts to yap and whine at the rest of his brothers. They soon bolt off in different directions, shouting of the news.

OOC: I want any available Ugluk members to be on at reasonable times next Saturday, February 1st. Malog and Thurak are of main concern to show up. I want to help grow the clan and restore its honor after almost 2 years of being in it.

  6. -1

Honestly, I am not the type of person to dislike someone. But after a few situations directly involving her, and many stories of her actions, she seems irrational and selfish in her RP. When RP that doesn't go her way occurs, she takes it to OOC. I have heard dozens upon dozens of stories that are very similar. One incident, directly involving myself, was when the orcs were going to tear down her tavern that was on our lands(if not on our lands, it was a dozen blocks away). She frantically complained OOCly and got a GM to have us wait 45 minutes to let her retrieve her items and tear down her tavern herself. The orcs should have been able to destroy the tavern without question, as we had had troubles prior to that incident. Until she shows a more mature side of herself, I would not trust her judging the capability of new players.

  7. Don't really see why you would want to remove them.

They give an unfair advantage, in my opinion. We have lived without it and can continue.

All the bigger loss when you kill them and take it, I guess. Seems pretty fair to me risk/reward wise.

Yes, I had an incident where a weapons was bound to a player's character, so when they died, it came back to them. I wouldn't mind a couple of those weapons, but not mass produced.

They are in the game to give an advantage. They are enchantments. That is their primary purpose.

Yes. But not everything that can be made to give a group an advantage needs to be in game. The orcs could have a racial buff that increases damage, but that would provide an unfair advantage in some peoples' eyes.

If you're referring to the ones from the enchanting plugin, anybody can get them. If not, then I'll let you know that GM's pretty much never add MC enchantments to RP'ly enchanted items, so there shouldn't be a whole lot of worry about this.

    Also, what Freya said.

Yeah, things in there, like Unbreaking and Punch, and okay. But I prefer sharpness and things alike to stay out of game.

Enchanted weapons don't come from lore posts, they come from the enchantment plugin which is available to everyone.

There are some weapons, in the past, that have been enchanted because of lore. I would not mind RP enchanting, but I think PvP enchanting isn't needed.

  8. ((Okay 6 people have joined so far, and this isn't just for the old Capital it is for the whole of Malinor so that it can be rebuilt and have a proper council that can help it win the war))

[[ There isn't a magic number you need to reclaim whatever. Just try and repair the old city through rp and inhabit it. All the while recruiting more elves and holding your own against foes. No one is going to have to let you oocly reclaim the city for your own, you have to do it yourself, as no one needs to give you ooc permission.]]
