  1. Nice story and good lore! Just, one thing you have two ch. 3's.
  2. Does no-one have any ideas at all for the monks of Aegis? If there is something wrong with the lore, just tell me!
  3. I fought alongside the S.A. in many battles against the undead. They are true to their word. They have rp history as this is a very old guild coming back.
  4. I think more could be added to the rp and many definitely have found disfavor in the way you act. I would like to see more thought given to the reasons as well before this is discussed becoming a town. Other groups like the Black Cross and Lunavara should be considered first based on their rich rp history.
  5. * A small piece of parchment torn from an age old book flows in the wind. You wonder what this strange paper states. Quickly, you grab the parchment and read. It is the laws surrounding the lifestyle of ancient monks.* The Monks of Aegis In past times, tales were sung of a meek folk that lived in the deep wilds. They were self-sufficient seekers of the truth. It was said that in times of peril, these men would enter the lands brandishing their holy swords in the name of Aeriel. Protecting the widows, orphans, and the innocent, these sacred men would cling to their holy vows to uphold justice, beauty, and all things good. Then in an instant, they would vanish. No one knew where they traveled or from what land they hailed from. Now, with the recent peril caused by the undead and the death of the Wandering Wizard, these few yet brave men have arisen again. Through their time studying the teachings of Aeriel, they have foreseen great trials ahead for all races of Aegis. Coming out of a holy solitude from the evils of the material world, these men now profess the truth and prophecy in the name of Aeriel. What name can be given to these servants of Aeriel? Merely, they go by the Monks of Aegis. They are the seekers of the truth, the messengers of the light, and the protectors of virginity. They ride forth on the steeds of sound doctrine to lead the dwellers back to the truth. Foreseen long ago by the wise monks, many will rise to challenge Aeriel and the valid truth. Now, they call all men, elves, dwarves, and orcs to fight this evil and defend their lands from the evil hordes of Iblees. Only, a chosen few join their ranks to fight this grave danger. Oaths are sworn and loyalties given in the name of Aerial. Hidden in the deep wilds of Aegis, they now await the time set beforehand by Aeriel himself to arise and leave their lives of solitude to avenge the deaths of the innocent, provide healing for the sick, and to preach the truth. With the recent capture of King Enor by the undead, the arrival of the monks is even more imminent. As you read this, the monks prepare spiritually, mentally, and physically. Many will perish in the fearsome days to come, yet the world will be united. A great tide of danger is upon and the people of Aegis rise up to meet this dangerous foe. The lives of many hang in the balance. Only, through sheer determination and bravery can the world be saved from peril. The great country of Oren has fallen already. The greatest of all the races now band together in one final stand. The monks will come in the sacred defense of her people. Laws and Decrees of the Monastic Life 1) Abstain from the consumption of all meats as they are considered unclean. 2) Do not marry and maintain thou sacred virginity. 3) Do not shed blood for folly reasons such as anger or sorrow. 4) Be devouted to the head of monastery and forever to Aeriel. 5) Do not lust and abstain from all sexual sins. 6) Do not steal, murder, or lie. 7) Do not consider anything your personal possession as that creates bondage to the world. 8) Share with your fellow monks who are in need of your help. 9) Provide due service to the monastery to provide for the monks. 10) Train in the noble arts of war such as swordplay and archery to prepare to fight evil. 11) Never give in to lies but always seek what is true. 12) Do not dwell on impure thoughts but rather dwell on what is noble, pure, and upright. 13) Consider all punishment given for your faults necessary to improve your character. 14) Always help widows and orphans who are in need of assistance. 15) Cling to your vows you spoke when you joined the monks and always hold near to your heart. 16) Do not consume any wine or ale. 17) When called upon, fight faithfully beside your brethren. As found necessary, more laws will be added to provide that all monks live fruitful and holy lives free from all evil. Leadership in the Monastery Head Monk or Elder - Provides leadership in the monastery and creates laws as supported by the Savants to increase the purity of monastic life. Also, leader in battle if necessary to purge evil from the world. Makes military decisions with the Lord of the Paladins. Savants or Lesser Elders - Wisest of the monks and council that provides insight to the Elder. They have proven they are dedicated to the monastic life through years of service. Each one is a master of a trade to teach younger monks. This way the monastery is self-sufficient. They are also necessary for finding recruits for the monastic life. Monks - Have lived the holy lives of a monk for a appropriate period of time and said the vows of a monk. Train in the art of war to fight under the leadership of the Elder. Also, devote most of the day to a constant study of the ancient texts and truth. Samanas or Monk Trainees - Newly chosen recruits to the monastery. Do the manual labor as necessary to provide for the monastery. They have not yet spoken the vows of a monk before the assembly. The Monastery The monastery is hidden in the wilds so that the outside world cannot taint its holiness. The monastery will be a small town surrounded by stone walls to provide protection from the minions of Iblees. Sleeping Arrangements - The monks will sleep in one large room with adequate bedding overseen by a Savant. A light will be left on in the room. Arrangements will be made by the Elder so that their will be peace in the room and no laughing. Meal Hall - As deemed necessary by outside conditions such as extreme heat, a minimum of 2 meals will be given and one meal extra based on labor and heat. Their will be one centralized meal hall with a kitchen to provide the food. Bread, fruit, and water will be served as overindulgence is a grave danger. Storeroom and Barracks - A storeroom will be near the fields to hold the wheat and fruit gathered in the harvest. Also, there will be a small barracks or weapons storehouse to hold swords, bows, and arrows. Behind the barracks will be a Fletcher and a Smithy to craft the weapons and arrows. Fields - Their will be several fields in the monastery walls to provide wheat for bread and watermelon for fruit. These fields will be maintained, seeded, and harvested by the Samanas and several newer monks. The monastery in total will house 25-35 monks and 5-10 Samanas. ((Post below if you will join the petition for a protected monastery)) ((I will be adding more to this idea as I see fit by recommendations. Please leave feedback and do not bash me. I think this would add a lot to the rp. I put alot of thought into this idea and hope it is approved!)) The Paladins of Aegis In days of old, paladins roamed the land seeking vengeance on evildoers and protecting those that are weak. Disheartened by the undead attacks, these grand defenders of truth disbanded and went their seperate ways. The people yearn for protection from strong warriors. Through harsh training and noble ancestry, these men rise up now to the occasion. With the warrior monks of Aegis, these men will rid the land of undead scum and provide safe passage for the citizens of Aegis to the new continent as prophesied by the Wandering Wizard. Their number is growing daily with new recruits as brave souls rise to defend what they hold dear. Miltary Order The Paladins form the second military order of the Holy Levitican Church. They have a strict military order and hierarchy. It is as follows: Lord [name] of the Paladins: A man of war, but also devout, pious and completely dedicated to the church. Leads the paladins of Aegis into battle on the front lines. Lieutenant Paladins: The two dedicated second hand men to the Lord. Completely loyal and in charge of recruiting new paladins and outfitting the troops. The Paladins: Consecrated members of the Paladins. Skillful warriors who are relatively old veterans of the Paladins. They form the main infantry and force of the Paladins. Each takes a different path of war. The paths are the sword, the axe, and the bow, and the staff. The Sentinels: Newly recruited Paladins that do the grunt work of the order to provide the ores, food, and supplies. They are trained by a Paladin and are similar to squires. They will fight below their Paladin in battle and assist wherever they can. The Keep The keep is the main stronghold of the paladins. Here they will rest, train, and cleanse themselves of evil. The keep will have adequate sleeping, a fully operational blacksmith and armory, and also farms. In times of peril, the keep will act as a refugee center providing protection and food. Blacksmith: Run by one of the paladins, this smithy outfits the Paladins for battle. The sentinels will collect ores for the Blacksmith who then use the resources to craft tools and such. Armory: The armory will be run by a Paladin in the path of the sword. The armory will obtain its armour and weapons from the Blacksmith. Farms: The farms are run by the sentinels and overseen by a Paladin. These farms will be inside the walls and provide bread and watermelon. They will also breed cattle for meat, wool, and leather. The Keep: The keep is the last stronghold and is where the Paladins will live. In here, the Lord will conduct his business and oversee the order. There will be a few sentinels who run the kitchens inside to provide meals for the Paladins. The Lt. Paladins will also have seperate rooms for their own comfort. The Paths of War The Paladins can follow the path of 4 different types of war. The following provide detailed info about the paths. The Path of the Sword: The Paladins who follow this path will train and be the greatest wielders of the blade in any land. They dedicate their training wholly to this specific warfare. All Paladins should use iron or above swords to produce efficient warfare. The blacksmith will provide the finest blades. The Path of the Axe: Any of the dwarves in the Paladins will most likely follow this path of war. They will be the beserkers and possess great strength. Able to hack through the strongest of armour, these fearsome warriors will be the core of the army defending the main keep and leaders. The Path of the Bow: Graceful in all means by trade, the Paladins who choose this path will act as rangers and scouts. Wearing dark cloaks that conceal their armour, they will travel under darkness to lead the way for the Paladins. The Path of the Staff: Magic is relatively new to the peoples of Aegis. Only a few will possess the prowess to follow this path. A complete necessity to the army, these fabled men will provide healing and transport by the powers vested in them. Master of Warfare: This group includes the Lord of the Paladins as well as the Paladin Lieutenants. They possess strength in every area and are the greatest warriors of the order. They will posses the powers of magic as well and give most of the instruction for Paladins in the paths of war although masters will be chosen as well to provide training. ((if you have any ideas on what needs to be changed or added, just post below. I put alot of work into this and would love feedback. Also, if you want to join either group in the new continent, pm me on the forums and we will disuss it. Be aware though, we are looking for experienced roleplayers, not a bunch of noobs.))
  6. This looks like a ton of work was put into this! Players on this server amaze me still with their great ideas!
  7. A house would not look good there between the gate and the other house. Also, I do not believe Enor sells plain land. Prebuilt houses are the only way cause they go with the architecture.
  8. Get my rep above 25!

  9. 35,000 minas is a very large chunk of money. It is a nice plot, but sadly I cannot buy it.
  10. Great work Vaq! This should really help the server alot
  11. ((that is not the only way to join the family be app. That is only the beginning. I will have to meet you ingame by rping and play with you for a while to judge your character. By the way, even shift had an app for the princes of Malinor. So don't be hatin))
  12. Considering it is on your lands, I will just resume the name Irongut Inn.
  13. ((I will ask Petyr once I have the lineage down correctly, that way it will look nice on the wiki.))
  14. House of Valinor Although not the current ruling family of Lunavara, the House of Valinor is one of the noble families of Lunavara. The house of Valinor is promised the control of the future sister capital of Lunavara. Bloodline Head of the Family: William Treaty or Beor the Wise Lesser House Members: Will add in future Background In the ancient days of Aegis, a tale was told of a great warrior named Valinor. Living in the far reaches of the wild, Valinor slayed many demons and beasts. It was said that this man, in times of great need would arrive to save the lives of many and then vanish as if he was never there. At one point, his legend was great in the lands of Aegis. The world was at peace once again for a long period of time. Generation after generation passed without an appearance of Valinor. The world forgot the name of their sacred warrior and new heroes arose. The thought still lingered in the reaches of some minds though. A young man named William searched many ancient texts across the libraries of Aegis. He found hints of a great warrior of the past. The house of Valinor has arisen once more. This young man is the heir of Valinor. He became known as Beor the Wise among his friends. He continued studying the feats of Valinor and discovered a shocking truth. The house of Valinor is not dead. Many still live that share in the blood lineage of Valinor. Beor now began the search for the lost members. Many claim the title of the heir of Valinor, but are they truly worthy? The lands that the undead have taken will be reconquered. Still, the men of Oren are resentful to accept the House of Valinor because they have forgotten the good he did. A new nation is rising by the name of Lunavara. The members of the House led by Beor will sweep the tide of the battle against the undead and help the nation of Lunavara gain fame far and wide. Joining the House of Valinor My name is Beor and I search for my lost brethren. If you claim to be apart of the House of Valinor, contact me and we will truly see. Those who share in direct blood lineage to Valinor are immediately lesser members of the house. Rarely, men who have performed great feats are inducted into the family based on merit and virtue Post below following info if you wish to join. Ingame Name: Rp Name: Reasons for wanting to join: Experience on server: Claim to lineage: ((The House of Valinor is a work in progress and is approved by Trouvo. I will periodically update the page with new info and such. If there is a problem with the lore, just tell me and I will change the background story. We are looking for house member that are experience responsible roleplayers. Many of the house, will also make up the knights of Lunavara in the sister capital. You can read about the future kingdom of Lunavara in the Ideas and Lore section. I hope no one is offended by this, but finds this interesting and adding alot to the roleplay.))

  18. Farms in houses are fined by King Enor. Watch out if you do them in the houses.
  19. Look, I am not on the application team or a GM, but I can tell you a few things. 1) Bio is way too short. What in the world does the bio have to do with this server? This is the worst bio I have ever seen in a new applicant. 2) Give much more detail on why your character is proficient at absolutely every thing. Which is not very realistic. I haven't known many orcs who can read and write well. 3) You have absolutely no clue what roleplaying actually is. You said, "Roleplaying is a game in which you die and such". This is possibly the worst explanation of what a roleplaying server. 4) The skin is definitely not an orc. Choose a skin that looks like an orc. 5) You say that you are good at grammar and english, yet I can point out over 20 mistakes. Next time, overall take much more time on your application. The GM's and App Team need to know why you will benefit the server. Not just your average player is allowed on. Also, don't pm people to read your application. It will be read eventually.
  20. Once all the kinks are solved, this should be absolutely amazing. Great job Vax!
  21. *listens intently to what others say* Enor better watch what he does, many seem to be unhappy with rule. I would suggest that he change how he rules quick or I see a revolt or the creation of a new nation in the future. *steps down and waits for others to speak on the matter*
  22. I will buy iron gut inn. It is right next to my town anyways.
  23. Why do you say it is in a terrible position? It is very close to Al-Khazar. I do not even know what New Terriko is. Thank you everyone for your support!
