  1. Valdax stands quietly in the shadows as he listens to the gathering of Dark Elves discuss their issues and ideas, he acknowledges Khel's comment to him as he turns to face him, but remains quiet throughout most of the meeting. Whenever an opposing House challenges the word of the Oussana's he glares from beneath his hood as he takes note of each and everyone of them, he quietly whispers to Khel after one of the outbursts, "If these fools continue to challenge our honor and our name, I will be more then happy to change their minds for them... with your permission of course." he leans back as he finishes the near silent threat and casually rests his hands upon the pommels of his twin pair of sixteen inch long dirks hidden within the confines of his robes as he goes back to listening to each of the members of the meeting address their own opinions.

  2. Role-play fighting is the best option for multiple reasons, first off you've got players that should be way better then someone else when it comes to a fight, but might not be better at pvp, so they will lose against someone that they should have won against in terms of rp skill. An example of this is a fight between an elf who has had years of training ((let's just say this is an elf that was training for over an IRL year of rp, and then add that they're not a very good pvper)) against an 18 year old human with little combat experience who just joined the server, but happens to have been one of the best pvpers on his last server before joining LoTC. Obviously if we had the two fight a pvp battle, the new player would win against someone he should have lost to in a rp battle or in terms of rp skill. Using the PvP system is a flawed system that can easily be abused by the pvp hungry players of the server who just want it because they know and are confident that they will win in a battle almost 90% of the time. Roleplay fighting gives a better and more fair chance for both sides to fight on equal terms instead of just using pvp to get items, so my vote goes towards using Roleplay Default fighting because it is a fair system and PvP should only be used in times when Rp fighting is just a no can do.

  7. Charles Silverblade writes another letter to be sent to Augustus Blackmont. The letter states that Charles will no longer be able to  support Augustus's claim to the title, King of Hanseti, as he is not within the power of House Silverblade to make such claims. Once Charles is finished with the letter he reads over it, and then a few moments later he nods and dips his seal into some wax, then stamps it upon the letter. The letter is then sent to the Dreadfort.

  8. A letter is sent to Lord Blackmont, Augustus Blackmont:

"His Lordship, Charles Silverblade, Unlanded Count of House Silverblade, supports the legitimacy of this claim, and therefore is said of all immediate Silverblades of his bloodline hereby give support to Lord Blackmont, Augustus Blackmont."

  9. Charles Greymane rides up to the front gates of the Palace and dismounts his horse, he sends his page away to tie it up as he ascends the stairs to enter into the Throne Room. He waits patiently as the line shortens until it is his turn to speak, he kneels before the Emperor and kisses his ring, makes a cross over his heart and speaks when told to.

"Your Imperial Majesty, I come to you today to settle the dispute of who claims ownership over the County of the Greymarsh and all that is held within its claim. I recently sold the rights to the lands under the assumption that I had the authority to do so and found out later that the Duke of Corpathia made a mistake in telling me that I was allowed to continue on with the Sale. I beg for your help upon the matter and wish to have you remove all my claims upon the land and settle this issue between the Greymanes, the Duchy of Corpathia, and the Chapter of the Lion."

Charles finishes giving his speech and looks up to the Emperor, awaiting his response.

  10. Charles is casually striding down the strees of Salvus when he spots the papers, intrigued he reads through them and smiles. "Hmm, this would be the perfect Anniversary gift for Alanas..." he says as he strokes his beard. He reaches within his cloak and retrieves a small notepad and a bit of charcoal. When he is finished writing his response, it reads as is:

"Addressed to a Miss Catriona Bronte,

I wish to purchase a copy of the cook book described in the pamphlet I found in Salvus, I particularly loved the recipe for garlic bread and can practically already taste it. Where and when would you like to meet, so that we might be able to make the sale?"

    -Signed, Ser Charles the Hunter."

Looking over his work, he nods with satisfaction and tacks it onto the board.

  11. The Marsh Rangers

A recruitment flier is tacked upon various notice boards throughout many of  Oren’s Settlements.

    Introduction

The Marsh Rangers of House Greymane are a military branch of the Silverblade Bannermen, they act as the scouts, spies, and sometimes saboteurs for the Silverblades and their vassals. They are also a military group within Oren itself and act as their archers when needed. The Rangers are an unofficial order of the Order of the Red Dragon and are loyal to a creed of rules that binds a code of honour amongst each and every ranger as brothers in arms. If you are in search of a tight nit group of seasoned fighters, then join the Marsh Rangers today!

    Who are the Marsh Rangers?

The Marsh Rangers are one of the elite forces of the Empire’s military, and are thought of highly among the Nation and its nobles. They are often chosen as scouts or infiltrators and they never disobey their orders, by creed, they are forced to serve their terms. The Marsh Rangers rely on Stealth and Accuracy to fulfill their most frequent assignments.

Not only are they infiltrators, but they are trained highly with Archery and can shoot a bird in midair 100 paces away [148 meters, one meter = one block]. They spend countless years training their Apprentices how to use a bow and several other weapons as well. They are known well in the use of Combat for our: Archery, Throwing, Dual Wielding, and Speed. It is optional for Members of the Order to train in additional skills but it must be done in their own spare time.

    What do we look for?

We are looking for fighters that are willing to give their lives in times of War to gather information, to infiltrate nations, cities, homes, and to scout ahead our marching armies for dangers. You must be willing to discreetly break the laws of other Nations, to kill for political assassinations or if someone knows too much, to steal back items of value, to do anything to aid Oren and her allies. You must be willing to give your life to the benefit of the Empire.

    What can we grant you?

You will receive free shelter within our camp sites and towers, free armor [[Leather to Iron]] during times of War if needed, and free food. This includes access to our farms, base, and watch-posts. You will also be granted the ability of prestige and status within the Oren Military and earn the protection of our allies when in your own times of need.

    Duties:

A ranger's everyday duty is to watch the roads of the Empire, scout for enemy encampments, and attempt to locate notorious thieves. Because of the small number rangers travel in, they usually don't engage the bandits by themselves. Rangers remember where the bandits or enemy were, and then report it to the other military groups, accompanying the group to the fight and offering whatever aid they can. Along with their normal duties, rangers must also keep a tab on things that happen in the nation.

    Lore

The Marsh Rangers were originally a small group of huntsman that had only fought the occasional pack of wolves or other beasts that entered the Greymarsh. Their leader, Ser Charles the Hunter, lead the small group and was later commissioned by his Cousin Grand Ser Uthor Silverblade The Steadfast, who at the time needed a regiment of Archers to help protect his land and men when in times of war.

The Marsh Rangers have now become an important group within Oren’s Military hierarchy, and have allied with other groups such as the Lion Knight Chapter, the Emerald Rangers, and the Silverblade bannermen.

    Rangers Creed, Ranks, and Other

  12. ((Perhaps instead of assuming that you're the only ones left who speak it, you should get your facts together. I am willing to bet that you and charles were not the only two who taught Mori out of the whole race and as far as I am aware, not one person in this thread has claimed that they are in fact, Mori. The one elf in this thread that is mainly speaking in Mori was legitimately taught, so can therefore use it. You have no right to say that they can't and perhaps your list needs updating.

As for the term drow, there really is no need to bring it up as it has already been raised before. ))

((I have no issue with others knowing it, they aren't harming me and as far as I know both you and Ura have both learned of it rply and it doesn't bother me. Valdax lived with the Mori, which is why he knows the language and even though the people may speak the language in the thread, doesn't mean that everyone can actually understand them, so Pillan please calm down about it and leave it be. Also, I haven't taught the language to anyone, so if anyone claims that I did, please have them talk to me.))
