If you can't accept that, than I kindly remind you that the door is available to you at all times and you are perfectly welcome to find another server or community that does work like that.

It almost seems as though the staff is slowly encouraging the players to do exactly that. I don't know why I bother to protest, or offer my feedback on forums, when across my entire time on the server, or forums, the staff has never once really listened to it's playerbase.

Like the others that have realized that arguing on the forums is meaningless given the lack of interest the admins have in the players. Like Galendar said, they want to make what they want, regardless of our input. Just as he said, I disapprove, and might take what Alan said as a challenge.

  2.

I see allot of complaints and accusations about Cappy but a troubling lack of actual proof.

    Good luck anyhow Cappy.

By the way, the Dwarves have A LOT of proof, we've just been debating, on several occasions every time we hear Cappy does something that warrants a brief dislike and desire to get him removed, but we've never actually done so, which I wouldn't be surprised given his new adminship if I saw a compilation post of some of the things we've got hiding away.

If the admins want a looksie at some examples just hop in our TS.

  3. Example Modreq

Dwarf Modreq: Bandits came, no rp-killed several dwarves, OOC shouted for around 10 minutes

Cappys Decision: Ban two dwarves for OOC shouting, do nothing of the raiding party.

    Biased Much?

And this isn't, the only instance in which something like this has happened. On countless occasions have the dwarves saught to gather every piece of disrespect and biased actions Cappy has handed out to them simply to bring out the kinds of things he's done.

The Dwarves won't stay silent, and me saying these kinds of things will of course, make him much encouraged to continue these actions against us in spite of the things I've said, but these things just have to be said.

Guess that's GG for LotC dwarves.

  4. If someone punished you for that I would punish them just as quick. Most people find that they have to become a GM before they realize that Cappy isn't actually so bad.

If you've ever been a part of a #1 guild on any game, where a superior group of players are in some way greater than the majority of other players, there will be those who show a heartedly side of them to those around them, but will exert a sense of disrespect toward those below them, and Cappy, is one of those people. Though this isn't an MMO, the concept is very true across multiple settings.

  5. Just a note, if you want to see my latest piece of work, come to the newly reestablished city of the dwarves, Kal'Karrad. Why put screenies if I can get you to come to the dwarven area for rp and see it for yourselves :) . The city build was lead by me and Hobolympic, with the assistance of a few others.

  6. The stone ruin is nearly irrelevant it's so small and simplistic.

The voxel... isn't exactly voxeling if you only use one command and one brush size.

    A tree... huh...

From what I can tell, the first picture truly is your best work, the statues are pretty good, the voxel work on the mountains are outstanding (thought I'd doubt that was your work, considering the other demo presented) and from what I can tell, the actual entrance, or gate area looks quite simplistic, as well as the stairs.

The Fantasy build is quite... simplistic as well, there's little to no layers or differentiation of color in the fort area. as well as the somewhat simple terraforming work.

The town is very simplistic. Very, the only thing that'd interest me is the exterior of the big building in that vilage, that might actually look like it's consistent to what the ET are looking for.

    -1

  7. Based on your ability to build I'd -1 the post. you have, very much to learn about building from what I can see. the builds are simplistic, and I don't think your ability is quite up to the task when it comes to building. Hence why I'd -1 this.

Also, two-part applications are judged much more harsh than normal applications for both sects of the ET, build and story, and I don't think the application itself, and the amount of screenshots/information present is up to par with what they're expecting.

I'm not going to comment on your ability to role play, but I'm going to say that with the PC you have, perhaps the Media Team could use someone who can run shaders. Or, I'd recommend reapplying as Actor only, that way your chances of getting in are much higher based on the less harshly judged response from the ET heads, and to save you the time since those levels of builds just don't cut it.

Why do you want to be a builder for the ET?

Because, I’ve been building for quite a while now, and every time I get a build project that I want to do, I never burn out from it, I always give it my best, and I’m very motivated, I guess you could just say that I love building, and this is the place to go. Another reason is that there aren't a lot of competent dwarven-architectural  builders on the server, and I feel every race has their staff members while the dwarves lack in many ways. I would definitely say I’m one of the best among them and I want to do my part for this race on the server by building event areas for them to use in the future.

What are some of your most treasured builds?

I don’t have screenshots, but, if anyone was on the Legends of Aelryth development team, they can vouch for the things I’ve done, anyone of them at all. My most treasured builds were the dungeons I made. I made one arachne dungeon, a kraken dungeon, a slime dungeon, and several other smaller event areas. Those were the ones I was most proud of.

I actually just finished this dwarvish entrance. (My second design so far, I show my less proud version later.) : http://i.imgur.com/LEb9ATt.png Edit: I'd like it known this was 100% improvised :)

What MMORPG/video games do you play?

“Do I play”, at the moment nothing, but I’m waiting on EverQuest Next! But I was a massive MMORPG fan in the past. I’ve played DDO, LotRO, SWtOR, Guild Wars II, ESO, and also played a few campaigns on roll20. I’m sure I’ve played others that I can’t remember. (you ask for MMORPG, but I’ve played a lot more single player RPG games as well, and that’s where it’s at.)

Please provide screenshots of any medieval builds strictly you have built and a description of each:

Not quite medieval but given the resources I had in survival I made this Heat-Intake Rune Forge (Thingamabober): http://imgur.com/a/Ole0P

This was my first attempt at a gate and the gate I wasn't as proud of: http://imgur.com/a/AREC6

Please provide an example of a decent sized ruin build:

With the new dwarven uptake on the Kal’Agnar build, I’m one of the main builders and this is what, essentially me and 3 others have accomplished thus far: http://imgur.com/a/n2sAl.

Please provide an example of terraforming:

This is an example I've done by hand: http://imgur.com/a/m1MzV

Please provide an example of a organic build:

Please provide an example of a High fantasy build:

    Here’s a little hellfire nether recreation: http://imgur.com/a/FaWkC

Are you an independent builder, and are you capable of handling all aspects of a build?

I don’t have a huge background in voxel, so usually what I did was got my voxel handy friends to do what I asked them, and we’d work together, I’d make the actual build while I’d ask them to “extend out this way, make a big cavern here, mask using these blocks and percentages, exc.” Besides that, if it’s a normal build, I could do it myself. It’d depend on the scale, but usually I’d ask for voxel help, though it isn’t necessary, I could very well do it by hand or learn how to voxel much better.

Do you know much about redstone?

I know quite a lot, I know how to make circuits, clocks, all the basic functions, and in a way, specialized in redstone traps a while back. But my reply would be I can handle very simple things for my normal builds, but I wouldn't trust myself to create massive redstone structures, or even somewhat complex ones. I’d probably resort to youtube or the internet for a solution. I’d rather seek out another to help me though if all else fails within a reasonable amount of time.

How long does it take for you to complete a build?

See, it’d depend on what I was doing. If it was a small event area that’s miscellaneous and can be reused, maybe 2-ish hours? If I wanted to make a whole dungeon, it’d take somewhere around 30 hours. But believe it or not, I have no life and can spend  a lot of time building, and since it’s somewhat of a passion I build for a good 8 hours straight.

Tell us how you plan on constructing a large build, a medium build, and a small build.

    Large Build:

I always make a list on a google.doc of all the parts, areas, what they’ll look like, and the size of each part. What I’ll then do is if there’s an environment, I’ll start by hand terraforming areas to make them look very good, then start by laying out wool foundations to see if things fit, how big I should actually make them, and will then start on roads. After everything environmental and simplistic is done, I’ll make buildings smallest to biggest, and when I’m done, I’ll do the interiors, from the smallest building to biggest. when every significant aspect of the build is done, I run around the area several times adding what little details I can.

    Medium Build:

It really depends on the build. It it’s a cave, I’ll have to decide what the build will have, and how the layout of the area will be, then act that out by carving a way. I’ll then go around changing the surface of the entire cave system with the appropriate materials that I want for the dungeon. After that I’ll start from the entrance, adding little by little, starting with the most important details. I personally, won’t do minuscule details until after all the main areas are done, so I have the basic form done. Then I can go around and add very detailed blocks and rp signs.

    Small Build:

For smaller builds, I’d usually just start by making the attraction point. like if it’s a well, I’ll start by making the well. after the well, I’ll go down into the well and make an interesting little area, which might lead out somewhere hidden so players don’t have to die down there. After that, I’ll have to decorate everything from that exit to the well, with trees, brush, grass, maybe an abandoned camp here or there, some scorch marks hinting something happened, or making it clear something mysterious happened that the player can decide as to what it was that happened.

    Additional details:

I “Know” voxel, and how to do it, I can do, very simplistic/decent work. Yes, I can worldedit, but I have no idea how to craftbook, which doesn't stop me from wanting to learn how to, that with the fact that I really want to learn it shouldn't make it too much a problem.

Tell me a trick about building:

Wanna know how to make toilet paper? Put an item frame on a block. Right click on the block with the item frame (but not on the item frame) with a wooden button, then right click the item frame with a quartz pillar (but make the toilet paper horizontal, not vertical). Bam, toilet paper!

    http://imgur.com/a/kh7i9

There’s also the decorative head blocks that can be pig heads, melons, books, ale, apples for builds. Didn't use these much, don’t remember command :/

Not to mention unobtainable MC blocks like 6 sided piston [33:7] which is used for crates, [34:1] which are great tables, the half bed block for comfy chairs, 6 sided bark logs exc. which are easily spawned in via /I command or WE.

Tell me what you want from the ET:

I’m not going to lie, or make something up. I want more dwarf events, or for the dwarf events already planned to happen to happen faster by helping build event areas, or help make other event areas,

  9. I've known Burk for quite a while now, he's been playing on RP servers for enough time to know how to RP, know right from wrong, He's matured quite a lot over time and I feel he is responsible enough for a staff position.

I don't think he'll have a problem coming up with good events because he showed people that he could lead a group of 20 hobgoblins-40 hobgoblins on another server, and keep them on for hours, performing different duties and keep them occupied. I think Burk would make an excellent edition to the team.

  11. Don't forget stairs. you need 3 planks to make one stair, when the ratio before was something like 1.5 planks = 1 stair, but the current case is a 3 planks =  1 stair, double the MC cost to make a stair. I don't know if this is all intentional,

I do however see, that it in a way could make sense. Perhaps in an effort to make stairs and slabs more valuable, they're made at an increased cost compared to vanilla. But, in making it more rare the whole idea of which ratio to use is relative to vanilla. I'd have liked it if they made them equal to vanilla, but I can see their reason for doing what they did.

  13. THE DWARVES GOT 5 #1 PLACES, YE BOIZ! PLUS OTHER PLACEMENTS BUT W00T!

(Kitsunokage66 was kinda on dwarven lands and didn't wanna be witht he other elves, and blundlemore got most of his mats from da dwarves, so is that pretty much 7 1st place winners because of dwarves?)

Most 1st place winners over any race?

  14. There once was a dwarf, whom lived in Kal'Klad. This dwarf spent every breath breathing shape into the wood he crafted. One day, One day he felt the sudden urge to exemplify his greatest accomplishment to the world by creating something extraordinary. He spent the next few months, tirelessly collecting the finest wool money could buy. Hiring the best of lumberjacks for only the highest quality wood, fashioning the best string to sew the wood and fluffiest of feathers for an Aengulic experience.

He shaped wood and sewed for days on end, often without rest until he finally achieved his aengulic accomplishment, his prized masterpiece. The best possible thing he would ever make that would be surpassed by none.

"If ye are nae on teh lis', but 'ave attended practoice in teh las' few days, consider yerself in teh Legion, but eht is still importan' to attend to eht, as eht will be teh larges' gatherin' o' legionnaires in teh las' few years o' teh dwarves. If ye are nae on teh lis', but attend to eht, ye can be added to teh rost'r an' considdered part o' teh Legion."

((Olaf you're on the list, that means you're in the legion, if you're on the list and you've attended a practice you're good, but still a good idea to show up.))

  16. LEGION

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBZ3Uw3fabo

With the current reset of the legion ranks everyone will need to be reevaluated to gain ranks fitted to their understanding of the legion, their dedication and discipline to protecting the Kingdom of Urguan. As of today all members of the legion have had their ranks stripped from them except those who have participated in the last two practices. All commanding Officers and Longbeards are now Ironbreakers, and the rest of the legion have been demoted to Grunts. This is due to the removal of the Longbeard rank given the abnormal abundance of Longbeards. This is required due to the shameful display and lack of discipline of the members of the legion in the past few months. WE ARE A MILITARY NOT A RABBLE.

Practices will be held at 4:00 PM EST nearly everyday, and when an officer sees fit. Tomorrow a role count will be held to determine who will be in the legion. Commanders and Legates will be chosen from the current ranks who have shown what it takes to lead the legion.

The following men are EXPECTED to attend:

    Chase Irongut

    Odin Ireheart

    Roggar Ireheart

    Olaf Ireheart

    Sharr Irongut

    Lathros Ironbeard

    Aleksis Grandaxe

    Ellsia

    Lori Ireheart

    Thirrak Grandaxe

    Spriggar Ireheart

    Agnar Ireheart

    Wulfric Grandaxe

    Nidro Grandaxe

    Bronn Grandaxe

    Norik Grandaxe

    Sandor Grandaxe

    Godrath Starbreaker

    Gamren

    Eilrhac

    Adonis

    Sontar

    Zapherius

    Yeaulf Shneager

If you are not on that list that means you did not sign up saying that you wanted to fight in the legion. I would suggest that you attend the practice so we may place you on that list. Do not bring dishonor to yourself by not attending the practice. You will not be permitted to serve in battles.

If you are on that list, thank you, you are aligned to be in favor of being promoted.

ATTEND BRING HONOR TO YOUR CLAN AND PROVE YOU ARE A REAL DWARF

((Give me OOC reason why you can’t make it THEN and ONLY then we will exempt you from punishment or removal from the legion))

  17.

Are you two serious? This literally just derails this whole discussion and makes you appear like children having a temper tantrum. No one is taking away your freedom of speech, no one is purposely bullying you so please stop acting like you're being attacked. why can't you just sort this out without acting like the world is against you.

My opinion on the matter now:

If the lore was changed a year ago and Dwarves knew then so I don't see the massive issue here ((according to Jistuma)). Not to mention the fact you would be restricting magic ((not a huge fan of that)). So why not just handle it through roleplay like others have stated? Assume all Dwarves using magic are in fact Ironguts, I mean that's really no different from saying they are.

"If the lore was changed a year ago and Dwarves knew then so I don't see the massive issue here" - we didn't know until like a month ago.
