I; Barias Cladheart, firmly stand on the side of Syrila that she should be the leader of Holm. If it was not for Syrila I would not be standing, talking to you all about her. She has saved my life and goes well on her promises, it is safe for me to say that I am willing to put me life on the line in order to protect her. Relgard on the other hand has shown nothing to be but evil and corruption, he has attempted to assassinate me many times, threatened me child and the mother of me child. He brought nothing but a red taint that has stained the once pristine and former White Ravens. I would not trust Relgard to even pick something up for me. Not to mention as my final travel through Aliquam I found this, I decided to have someone come and paint this for me. This shows that although the former haves are desperately trying to reform themselves to what they once were, Relgard continues to threaten them with attacks and death.

(( 1. First of all, all money has from the server has been wiped, so it would not matter anyways. Second, the money that I have gotten for all land and expansion has come out of my own pocket, who bought all the glowstone for the streetlamps? I did, who bought all the redwood for the homes? I did. The money that the GUILD had is with Nppeck at the current moment which he had never given me despite all the times I asked him for it IC and OOCly, but again all money has been wiped from the server. 2. You gave the land to Nppeck to expand, you gave OWNERSHIP of land to Nppeck, which in turn gave me OWNERSHIP, so yes, I do have ownership of that land. 3. What I see here is that you are sour that there is a very good possibility that you will lose the city as a result of this war. BTW: The war is accepted and was only put on hold/suspened in order to let the ravens and the city know that Syrila and her allies were coming to attack.

(( This is a collaboration between DecoLamb (Who is not directly involved in the guild so she will not post) and I (( Barias was put in charge. OWNERSHIP, which includes funds, major choice making, and the land itself, belongs to him until stated otherwise by the original owner. When nppeck's character died, nppeck gave both IC and OOCly all OWNERSHIP of the city of Aliquam Purus transfered to barias (This is including the rights to the region). Meaning you have no say over it anymore, ic or ooc. There's this thing, it's called indian giving, you're trying to do it right now, just an FYI. When you buy a car from someone, that car is now under your ownership. The original owner cannot come in and say what you can and cannot do to said car. Example: you wish to paint the car you bought, it's your choice. NOT the original owner. The war is a valid point as in RP when Rekenara was in the city, Syrila was willing to go to war with the Ravens and the entire city of Aliquam, Barias had brought Rekenara to Syrila and Barias, in that process had done surgery in order to save her life from infections. They had become good friends after this incident and Syrila had vowed that if Barias was to be removed from power or assassinated, she would come to level the city. Aswell in a time of war Aliquam would be able to call upon Syrila and her allies incase the city was to be attacked or if the Ravens were to attack another faction. And just that has happened, Barias has been removed from power and his family's life threatened, which gives a more than valid reason for Syrila to come and destroy the city. Also I have been seeing more than more people from the Ravens and the city who have been bringing more and more OOC into this war. I will not name names out of respect. You are trying to stop this war through OOC means when I know I have a perfectly valid in character reason to attempt to attack you as do my allies. You need to remember that this is a roleplay server and that you need to do things in character. If you want to stop me, the war threats have already been made in character, but try and stop me through in character means; stop going around saying that I cant do this and that because I can, and I am. Long story short: Sometimes you just have to take the loss, that is character development, which is a vital asset in all roleplay communities. And if you choose not further develop your character, all you are doing is causing stagnation, and stagnation kills roleplay, which ruins the fun for the broad spectrum of the server. If you defeat me, go ahead, I will be happy to take the loss, my character will move forward for it. It may be that I will try to destroy you another way or that I may give up, that is dynamic roleplay and that is what everything this server is about; creating stories where you don't know what happens next, stories that never end, stories that are always changing, gaining new and more exciting chapters. Stories that define LOTC in it's glorious entirety. Now I ask you, are you really going to stop something that could completely redefine the guild, and give your characters a life-changing experience? Are you really jsut going to run the same old rut until you burn a ring in the ground? Or are you going to actually PLAY the ROLE of a guild about to be attacked by a massive force? Give me your best shot Ravens, show me everything you have, and show the SERVER what you have. EDIT: (( This comes from DecoLamb as she just noticed this aswell as me. (( You had no clue about this in character as the warclaim was made OOCly, it was not until just 10 minutes ago that you were told in character of the coming war. And that is only if you were present or if someone had come to you and told you about Syrila coming proclaiming the war. That is a prime example of Metagaming, which I extremely detest. It greatly irritates me that the majority of you have been pulling A LOT of OOC information and issues into IC. I expected so much more from the ravens, and frankly, what you have shown me these past few days, disgusts and upsets me to the point where I can do nothing but shake my head every time I hit F5. The White Ravens, in my honest opinion, have declined to such a degree that I wonder if you really care to roleplay outside your own guild. The town was almost always empty, and I'm around every single day in the afternoon, I'm here during a large part of the high time for the American group, and I catch a good snip of the European player base's high time. The characters do not move forward often, and when they do, it's laughable at best. The quality of rp the Ravens produced when I first came across them impressed me to the point where I would skulk around as Decora behind the base or near their hotspots just to read and watch what was happening. Now, even when I'm in the thick of it, there is really only anything intresting when I force direct stimulation with my own characters. Cursed six year children revived from the nether that can fight just as well as a veteran warrior, capable of taking down a fully grown adult male orc? Not to mention the elf who can slip out of the grip of a full elbow lock hold from behind by someone who has been trained to fight and IS a veteran. Or how about when said elf managed to stab said character in the side when his arms were pinned behind his back. THEN claim meta when we try to run you down after pulling away from the group and then laughing, but refusing to answer why. I mean it could have been the simplest of coverups 'I just remembered something funny is all' whcih is much less suspicious then jsut saying 'nothing, and walking off.' People who listen to conversations through two block thick walls made of stone, or trots up to listen to someone whisper. I could go on, I really could, but I have a jungle to chop down and ocelots to breed like rabbits. Now hurry up and put your big boy pants on, because Deco's coming for you, and coming with an army of kitties.

(( ICly yes all the money that was raised for Aliquam was taken when Barias left, I still need to talk to shiftnative to what happens with the 30,000 accredited minas from patato12. (( its only revoked until we let the ravens/Aliquam Purus know that we are going to be attacking them, everything else besides that is cleared with the admins

Its a sad day when I have to come and say this but I am formally resigning from the White Ravens and lord of Aliquam Purus. A third attempt was made at my life and I have been hearing recent things on how Relgard was planning to harm my child, Tela. I have tried time and time again to make this city peaceful, yet you all seem to follow Relgard as a saint when it is obvious of his intentions. Not to mention the girl you claim I have been protecting too much has been assisting me more than my own brothers. She sacrified everything she had, her money, time, health, possessions, all to help this city. I have saved her life, and she has saved mine, yet you cast her out like a scrap of trash when she has done nothing but prepare food and drink for you for no pay at all. I am the bishop of peace, but when all of my suggestions and words are ignored, the peace I seek to bring cannot come. I can show you the violence that comes when you ignore words of peace for far too long. The herald of destruction that once came here, the being who when she set foot upon our land, set foot beside a DRAGON no less, is now my personal friend and ally. Her conenctions, and the connections I have made through my friendship of the ones you seek to destroy, could have brought us peace and prosperity! But no. Instead you chose to attempt to -murder- me in cold blood. You attempt to cast out ones who despite their various faults, want nothing but a peaceful and happy life.
