He left at a young age when his parents abandoned the dwarven nation due to the power struggles between the Braveaxe and Irongut clans. They settled in Alras, which became the place Traikus was raised. Alrasian culture and way of life influenced his formative years greatly, and to this day Traikus wears the garb of an Alrasian gentleman. Traikus' ambition in those years was to be a successful Alrasian merchant, maybe even to rival the great King Syrio himself. He began a successful business, but that success was not to last. The increasing emigration from Alras left Traikus with a shortage of customers, and when Alras was torn apart by its dwarven conquerors a decade later, he abandoned the city completely. From then on he was a travelling merchant, uncomfortable settling down for fear that town may be destroyed again, and getting by on the coin he scraped together selling his wares on the road. Soon after his arrival in Anthos, Traikus had the misfortune to run into a group of bandits. They robbed him of every mina and possession he had, and as he had no home, he had everything with him. Left for dead with nothing but the clothes on his back, Traikus decided he could survive as a wanderer for no longer. With a heavy heart, he swallowed his pride and set out for the nation of dwarves his family had abandoned so very long ago... The reason a slightly simplified version was used is because it is an example translation. The only real difference between the two versions is the replacement of "landz" with "uzg" and the use of a different word to refer to the individual who is trespassing: "Wub lat duuin un Uruk landz, pinkzkin?" "Wub lat bi duin en Uruk uzg shara."
