    A Letter To The King Of Urguan, And Others

    From the Human capital city of Petrus do birds fly, headed to the mountains of Urguan bearing a message. Sealing the messages are the Royal Seal of King Andrik Vydra, monarch of the Reformed Kingdom of Oren These notices would find themselves at the desk of any prominent Dwarf, and several may even find themselves in notice boards across the land.

     

    To the Grand King, Zahrer of Urguan, and any of his Chancellors, citizens, and others that may see this notice.

     

    Two days past through simple chance, I have learnt that you have - willingly and purposefully - violated my authority as a King and as patriarch of Humanity. 

     

    I speak of your vassalization of certain Nord Lords north of the Ebunad River, a clear and direct violation of my Doctrine of Northsnow. I had thought that you wished for peace between our two people, and in this I was willing in every capacity to accommodate for such.

     

    I sent word immediately that this error should be corrected, lest I publicly denounce your actions as an irresponsible, and unnecessary infringement upon the safety of my Realm. Obviously you chose to ignore this.

     

    What need has Urguan of territories to far from your home yet so close to mine? For what purpose do you blatantly ignore my edicts regarding lands that are by right colonies of Humanity?

     

    This business with the Elven intervention was to be entirely expected, for I can now only assume that you are of a violent and mischievous nature, seeking to create conflict wherever you go. Just so recently your nation was at peace, after involving yourself in a war that you had no business in. Now yet again, you do so, bullying your way into a position of dominance over all the realms of Athera.

     

    Yet this is not the purpose of this missive, the main point being that you have insulted me, Grand King, with your political maneuvering. Dwarven colonies in the North? Prominently Human towns and holds bending the knee? I cannot even fathom why such actions are necessary, lest to prompt me to war.

     

    I am different from you though, sir. I have no desire for war, and your provocations will not stir me to conflict so easily. I refuse to give you the war that you obviously so crave, for Humanity is at peace, and in peace do we prosper.

     

    Release the oaths of fealty that have been sworn to your from any North of my Kingdom, and cease your expansion into what was once Aesterwald - for I have sworn that no foreign power, new or old shall ever take hold there again.

     

    Choose to ignore my demand, and I will be most disappointed.

    Appeals For Peace, Among Other Things

    Different letters are sent to each of the signatory nations of the West Atheran Treaty Organization, bearing the coat of arms of Akovia, and of House Vydra.

     

     

    "To the Grand King of Urguan, and his loyal Thanes,

     

    In this you should understand me, Grand King. Both of us recently have ascended to rule over our people, been given the indescribable burden and monumental task of leading the nation that we call home. Both of us understand the plights of our smallfolk, the intrigues of our Lords and allies, the crippling pain that strikes when tragedy befalls the country. It is for this reason that I so beg you, from one monarch to another, to consider making peace and ending this needless bloodshed between our people. I know you will at least think upon it, or I hope, for you are a King to a hardy and loyal folk who would follow you into the depths of the Nether and Hell; for you are a King that loves his followers and wish naught but the best for them. 

     

    I must tell you that this war will never benefit your people. These "raiders" that you used as your call to war is a flimsy one, and I know you are aware of this. The Raevir people, and the miscreant vagabonds among them who might ever raid your lands make up the tiniest of percentages of citizens of Akovia. Regardless of this, I am aware that such behavior can never be tolerated, and if I had been formally approached with this issue - which I never was, I would have hunted these villains down and struck their heads from their shoulders personally. 

     

    And so, Grand King, I make one final appeal - one last attempt at peace with you and yours. All I ask is that you bring together your Thanes and ask what the idea of a treaty brings to mind. Do but this for me, and I swear I shall right all the wrongs ever done upon the stalwart people of Urguan.

    "To the Rex of Krugmar, Champion and Protector of the War Nation,

     

    Your decision to join against me perplexed me, I cannot deign to lie. Not one elven week before, my warriors assisted the orcish horde in war against the Kharajyr, a race of creatures against which I bear no ill willt. This I did, against my moral conscious and the advice of my councilors because I had given my word that I would assist the orcish people whenever possible. 

     

    This "Krug IV" that you so fervently seek is not one of my subjects, nor under my protection. Your sacred axe of Krug that he carries has never been seen in my lands, and never been an item of interest to my administration. I ask you to remember when my people and yours fought together, and simply consider that peace with my alliance might be a better alternative to war. Of course, I will make every attempt to justify the crime that was committed against the interests of the orcs of the Uzg, and assist in any way should I be given the chance.

    "To the Heretic and False King, Arn of Aesterwald"

     

    Heresy will never abide so long as I draw breath. It will never abide so long as my grand allies keep to the faith. It shall never, even as the realm is torn asunder by disaster, be allowed any rest, nor sanctuary, nor peace of mind until I have stricken every single speck of it's Godless presence from every corner of this realm. 

     

    This schism was the gravest mistake you could have ever made, and these thrashings of your invading raiding parties are just the first signs of such. For you,"King" Arn, I have no offer of peace or reconciliation. Only one recommendation. Convert and surrender, and I may just grant you the blessing of a priest of the Canon before I remove your heretical, war mongering head.

     

    Fear not, for I am not like you, and I do not assign the follies of the few to the masses. When I occupy your Keep, ending your line forever, I will be just and merciful to your blinded flock. 

     

    Look to your people, Arn, and think of what pain and suffering you have wrought upon them. Think of this, and watch helplessly as I harry you and your army to the ends of the world.

     

    I will never allow your ambitions of another Empire to come into fruition.

    ((Honestly so ******* sick of these threads. There's been like what, three or four of them? Same people responding every single time just arguing about literally nothing in the most passive aggressive way possible. If you have a problem with someone OOCly (As cleary, ALL of you do no matter what you say mog or cracker/ the rest of you) then go talk to them in private instead of flooding the forums with this horseshit excuse for RP))
