  2. ((Short post))

The hydroelectric damn of Maine is almost finished (1 page to go)… workers take a break for the night as a city-wide military training sessions is employed, training everyone with the basic tactics of the book found in the harbor. Also scouts are sent to the Great Lakes after rumors reached them of a settlement being founded. Does the Union accept the armed diplomats into their settlement to talk.

  3. One of the five car cavalry took off, over the trenches and zooming past the enemy, it put off a few high powered machine gun shots before spinning around and taking off into the forest, fast enough for it is hard to get  a shot on it... and slow enough for enemies to follow it under the trees where the Travois await to pounce. They try to draw the eager enemies out of their hiding to follow them into the trees (specifically the savage tank)

  4. ((Really short))

Watching the Canadians retreat the remaining 15,500 New Englanders retreat, following the Neo Mounties into the trenches... a small squad is dispatched to the vehicles where they begin to mount their remaining weapons onto the tops of their jeeps. They await the time to strike.

    The Scavengers Of New England

Dissaray and chaos filled the battlefield as "savages" cut down and shot Scavengers, Mounties, and Handfordians. It seemed as though the bloodshed would always be against them... but the Scavengers had other thoughts. Ebb, their leader, stood among the chaos, filled with rage and thirst for blood and rallied his men and women... they would not fall to these Alaskans!
    post-apocalyptic-survivor-image-credit-u

"Let us survive this day! Let us show them how true New Englanders fight!"

The Scavengers quickly formed three squads, dividing their remaining 17,000 troops and splitting apart shooting and slashing with their machetes and knives. One squad pushed through the battle, blowing heads off the tribesman while another circled around on the hillside, raining hell upon the tribesman still in the forest. The third squad moved directly into the chaos, slashing and stabbing, picking up fallen foes and ally's weapons. Quickly the group reformed, having suffered minimum casualties. The "savages" had fallen back into using their sword and spears. The Scavengers laughed with war-lust as the enemies came at them, mowing them down one by one... but soon they would run out of ammo too. They began to use fallen's weapons, picking up spears, guns, crossbows, whatever they could find and began to hack and slash through the battle... hoping to turn the tide with their newfound vigor. Two thousand of them had fallen from the original 17,000 and now they had to make up their losses. They attempted to take positions on the hills and regain a vantage point from the Alaskans who still sat in the hills.

    Meanwhile In Maine:

After gathering a workforce The Tip's engineers begin work on a damn in the nearby river so that they may start their hydroelectric project. With nearly 100,000 workers total working on the damn it will still take a long time for The Tip to get electricity. The total process should take about ((5 pages)). 50,000 workers are also dispatched so that work can be made on restoring the Calahan Mine in Brooksville, which is 5 hours south of the Tip. The total restoration will take about ((6 pages)) as a small community of the workers and their families will also need to be built.

Also (Mod Action Required), the Scavenging party in Portland, Maine finds a wrecked cargo ship and begin to search it for anything helpful, some books they would enjoy having are books on making military vehicles, books on military strategy, books on farming, and books on making weapons. Also they would hope to find any guns or any other weapon they can find. Some other things they are searching for is any form of tin, so that once their copper mine is completed they can begin to make bronze.

  6. The final word of the results of the battle reach The Tip.

Nobody is happy, many lost brothers and sisters who had volunteered in the fight but the usual go get 'em attitude of the New Englanders filled the air. They were pumped... ready to shed some blood in the name of their friends. Training had been increased, harder instructors began to instruct the civilians, and the shipment of weapons and books had aided them in their quest to aid their newfound allies. A letter is sent in return to the leader of the Mounties.

    "Dear Canadians and Handfords

We are sending a force of 25,000 soldiers and partly trained militia, combined from our three outposts to aid in your endeavors. We will bring salted meats, salted fish, stale bread, and other long lasting foods to aid in our journey. We are a hardy and strong people and will bring every ounce of vigor and violence that your Mounties would. Our vehicles are loaded like clown cars but we hope our scouting party finds a vessel so that we may travel by river to the Rendevouz point. Where will we meet?

    Sincerely,

    Ebb Of New England.

  7. The Scavengers Of New England: Outpost 3 Hours East of the Ruins Of Red Plains

    article-2297522-18D0AB36000005DC-186_634

Gasps of shock filled the air of the Outpost as 5 figures stumbled towards the encampment from the horizon. Three Scavengers, One Neo, and One Canadian. No weapons on them except bloodied crowbars the group finally reached the gate before passing onto the ground. Medics rushed from their tents and hopped over the short wooden walls. The five survivors each got their own medical tent... and in the middle of the night a man gathered the two foreigners... to ask them some questions. The Neo and Canadian sit down in two wooden chairs... in front of them is a short man who seems to be more of a diplomat than a warrior. He asks the survivors some questions and awaits there answers:

    "Who are your groups?"
"Are there any survivors besides the three of our own that you arrived with?"
    "Where are your groups?"
    "Can we contact them?"

    Maine ((Needs Mods))

News of the results of the battle had not yet reached the tip, but they were busy with their own events.

    The Party Reaches The Harbor:

They begin to comb the harbor for any working boat and search a beached cargo ship for food, weapons, and any thing else of value. ((Mods Do They Find Anything))

    The Census has been completed:

A total of 400,000 people in total dwell in the Tip. Almost all of them will be trained in basic combat within the following years ((will take 4 pages to amass a standing army and 2 pages to train all civilians in basic combat)). After gathering a workforce they have 399,000 capable labour (farming, lumber, hunting, engineering, construction etc). The final governmental reforms are being put in place to make the tent city and its outposts less of a chaotic survivor group and more of a nation.

    The Scavengers : Maine

The leader of the hunting party turns to the wolves, eager to fight them, gun in hand... "Wait till I give the signal... then sh-"

    Revenge-of-the-Wolves-e1348013046695.jpg

A wolf lunges at him and his weapon explodes with a bullet, soon every hunter opens fire and the wolves drop dead, whimpering in pain. More howls erupt in the forest around the group and they begin to pick up one dead wolf each... they'd have some meat, bones, and pelts to bring home. The group hurries through the forest as quickly as they can... the fort finally coming into view. Wolves erupt from the forest behind them but the watchmen already spotted them, dropping the beasts as soon as they reach the edge of the forest. The hunting party makes it home safely, with pelts for clothing, bones for tools, and meat for food.

    The Scavengers: Boston.

The Scavengers begin to fill their rucksacks with the books they have found... even the civil war books. This important find on hydroelectricity will be delivered to home-base with the next trip back up North. This being their last run before the delivery it was an extremely lucky find. Slowly the Scavengers came out of the ruins of the Boston Public Library and make their way home... the delivery would be sent along with some weapons and ammo found on their last 6 months of scavenging runs.

    *Response To Mod Post*

The Scavengers quickly spin around and react to the approaching horsemen, ducking behind trucks and cars as cover they manage to get a few shots off but they know they have to get mobilized and they knew that the few cars they had wouldn't offer much cover for their remaining forces. They couldn't allow the enemy to reach the horde at the gate. Three cars were dispatched to the escaping horde. The cars zoomed past the returning barbarians, circling around to try and cut them off while firing their hunting rifles and crossbows. The truck began to race back and forth, dropping off ground troops to various points around the returning enemy...with  a total of half their remaining troops attempting to keep the horde from joining up with the other savages, the remaining troops (left to fend off the tribes cavalry) began to form ranks, morphing from shocked warriors into an organized legion. The remaining car cavalry began to drive towards the horses, shooting while they did so. But they had to wipe out any hope of reinforcements for the barbarians. The remaining 6 cars formed a V and charged head on to the horses, everyone ducking down from the windows as the drivers moved towards the horses at great speeds while the legion of footmen rain fire upon the horses and the other half of the forces attack the retreating savage horde.

The Tip, Maine Mod Action Required:

A census begins to go around the tent city ((will take about 2 pages)) as The Scavengers need more workers to aid expansion into the forest. Meanwhile the workforce, around 300 people, begins to work on cutting down the trees that surround The Tip ((3 pages)). Once the trees are completed farms will be built as well as permanent housing to get some people outside of the cramped tent city. Training sessions also begin, training a new mass of 1k armed men and woman to shoot, follow orders, and how to properly scavenge. A hunting party is sent out into the forest hoping to find a big meal to eat, maybe a flock of turkeys, a bear, or even a moose? ((Mod Action Required here. Do we find any game in the forests?))

    The Search Party:

The party sent to the Harbor in Portland, Maine nears their destination with ((2 pages)) to go. Hopefully they can find a vessel among the ruins of the once-thriving flooded port city.

    Boston Outpost Mod Action Required:

A Scavengers party reached the the Boston Public Library and now are searching among the remains for  books on weapon making, farming, and hydroelectricity. Any books found on fishing and military tactics would also be snatched from the shelves.

  10. The Scavengers Of New England

    Red_corsairs_emblem_by_steel_serpent-d3a

The Scavengers Of New England begin to slowly back off, their cars and trucks darting in and out of the barbarian's ranks shooting with hunting rifles and crossbows and whacking with crowbars... Savage after savage fell but they were heavily outnumbered. They began to pull back out, hoping to draw the savages out while the Alliance rains hell upon the enemy. The Scavengers begin to pull out quickly, some foot troops gaining speed by hopping onto the sides of zooming trucks and cars... drawing out further and further but keeping constant rain of makeshift arrows and their bullets into the enemy ranks. The Scavengers are constantly drawing back, stopping every once and awhile to allow the enemy to gain some traction before raining down upon them again with their projectiles and by car/truck cavalry that darts in and out... many scavengers litter the ground but the adrenaline of the battle keeps them fighting furiously. ((It is up to the mods if the savages follow but the Scavengers are keeping them at a distance... or at least attempting to while still providing a hard fight))

  11. The Scavengers Of New England

                                                       Red_corsairs_emblem_by_steel_serpent-d3a

The squad in the black sedan spots the battle and quickly pulls back and speeds towards their camp... dust kicking up in the opposite direction..... as far away from the camp as they are they radio in for help. They need allies out in this wild area and now they know how to get them. Home-Base was alerted to gather their forces... and soon they will arrive. With 2k foot soldiers, all armed with various assortments of weapons varying from simple hunting rifles to crossbows. Behind the wave of soldiers 10 cars and trucks roll up behind them. Each stuffed with as many soldiers as they can. In total there were about 15 gunman armed with hunting rifles and another 20 with crossbows in the cars and trucks.  The 2k of foot soldiers are divided out in semicircle, surrounding the attacking tribes, bolts cocking back and crossbows being pulled back. The force took aim as the various assortment of cars and trucks began to circle around  Red Plains Fort... awaiting the final order from a single Jeep which appeared to be the leader for this assault. The leader in the Jeep clicks his radio on an open channel hoping to contact somebody inside the fort.... "I suggest you get to cover as we are about to open fire and save yer asses." The  small army begins its attack.

The Strategy: Fire at and distract the barbarians into the open, giving the Fort time to rally their troops and create a two pronged attack.

  12.                                                    The Scavengers Of New England

                                                       Red_corsairs_emblem_by_steel_serpent-d3a

The sun came up and soon the thriving tent city began to awaken...  The Building's candles and torches began to flicker on... and dust kicked up down the dirt road. The gate creaked open and a camoflouged pickup truck zoomed down the road, heading towards a lookout camp down the road. Life in The Scavenger outpost known as The Tip began to start up for another busy day.

Ebb got up and began to get his gear on. As usual he walked out the back door to The Building and made his way to an ATV. He began to make his loops around the city, checking on guards, and finally neared the planning tent. Looking at the map he nodded to his head scout, they'd begin the expedition today... the expedition to the Harbor to find some boats ((will take 4 pages to reach the Harbor)). The scouts began to load their truck and the leader picked up his sniper from the armory... their guns and ammo had been dwindling for months now, they'd ran out of spots to scavenge and needed to find a supply soon or they'd be defending themselves with sticks and stones.

    BF4-Recon-Tips.png

The sprawling tent city eyed the scout team as it exited... knowing fully well what their mission meant... expansion was to be coming soon, more outposts would be added onto their three that spanned across New England.

-snip apparentally Pok gives me population and such-

    Outposts:

Boston Outpost: A small base where 20k people in total dwell. They are self operating but radio in to the Tip every night. They keep an assortment of weapons for the only about one quarter people who are constantly scavenging for supplies. Any important items such as books on weapons, military tactics, engineering etc. and/or any military supplies, weapons, and vehicles are shipped to the Tip every 6 months.

The Remnants Of The Great Exploration Camp: Early on the Scavengers had sent a large force towards the other side of the coast in great numbers, in trucks and cars. Soon they had completely run out of supplies and still had communication with the Tip. Only 40k members remain but they act as traders and diplomats to the various groups across the Nation. A squad is nearing the Fort Of The Red Plains  after radioing in to home that they are trying to make contact. The inhabitants of the fort would see a black sedan heading towards them, kicking up dust.

    OOC:

Please tell me if I am doing this wrong... I can completely revamp this post if needed (not sure if my weapons etc. is fine) please let me know.
