  1. Just putting this here so new players/applicants can see.

    Some important points to note:

If you really enjoy PvPing, a halfling is probably not for you.

If you are rage or have a temper, being a halfling is not for you.

If you want to be a Mary Sue or be a super duper badass, halflings are not for you.

If you get really bored really quickly, halflings might not be for you.

If you want to mine, halfling might not be for you.

If you are too serious, halfling is not for you.

    HOWEVER:

If you enjoy farming, drinking, fishing, and laughing, be a halfling.

If you are tired of powergamers, poor RPers, or just tired of conflict, be a halfling.

If you want some peace and some good friends, be a halfling.

If you are drawn to short and weak races like hobbits and gnomes, be a halfling.

If you like the sound of an Irish accent, be a halfling.

If you want a community that is more focused on fun over items, be a halfling.

And, if you've always wanted to live in a hobbit burrow, be a halfling.

    UNLEASHING YOUR INNER HALFLING -

Step 1 - Read "A History of Halflings". It's on the wiki. I wrote it. While you're at it, read the halfling page, as well.

Step 2 - Get a skin. No shoes, typically clothes that could be used for farming. Perhaps a strand of grass in your hair.

Step 3 - Talk the talk. Use "yer", "me" for "my", and all of that other stereotypical halfling speak.

Step 4 - Get a good name. Perhaps join an already prominent family (Brandybuck, Sturdyfoot, Took). Typically first names are two syllables with a rhythm of "strong-weak" while last names are either "strong" or "strong-weak-strong".

Step 5 - Know some more info. Halflings are adults at thirty three. They can live longer than most humans, sometimes up to 175 or 200. They don't wear shoes. Their ale is potent, yet with strong emphasis on flavors. They like being comfortable. They are very hungry. Their eyes can be different colors. Halflings don't necessarily look down on thievery. Do your research.

    Step 6 - ???

    Step 7 - Let's do this thang.

I will probably add more later. Hopefully this was helpful to future and existing halflings.

If you have any questions on further playing a halfling that were not answered in the guide please shoot me a PM!

  2. Fumble gazes in horror as the hordes of Strelts and their allies pass towards the Former Cloud Lands, he scrambles out of his favorite spying spot and begins to tell the halflings in the Tavern to keep themselves on lockdown, there will be lots of fire and death floating in from the West.

  3. [[]]

    • Great Speed

    • Legendary endurance

    • Steady footing, from long lines of Northern mountain heritage

This seems a little O.P if you ask me. I mean if they are short and stocky with legendary endurance, maybe they aren't that fast. Or if they have great speed and steady footing maybe they don't have much endurance.

  4. I'd have to say when I joined the Rangers Of Allidilic (or some Adunian name I don't remember). At that moment it was brought to my eyes how useful the forums were and how important they are. I really became a contributor to the community through the halflings were I have represented them in various different ways, organized events, and drawn new players. This eventually led to me being OOC leader so now I think I contribute much more and am very active thanks to that first day when the forums were brought to my attention.

  5. Lark chuckles as he hears of this guild, knowing that many of tried to create firearms before..only to have their limbs become literal....fire. arms. They caught on fire. Lark stops chuckling and leaves a note on a poster, "Methinks yeh should 'one yeh craft befe' yeh attempt a guild young one. Such an upstart without proper backing will lead your ambitions to...backfire."

Lark runs as he is chased out by pun haters.

Fumble nails Lark in the head with his flying squid,

    "Your puns aren't punny."

  6. I found that while playing it; I barely bothered with expiry dates and it seems that the higher tier foods have days length before spoiling. Not to mention that with 1.7.2 I would be eating food far quicker than they would spoil.

In paper it might sound bad, but when you actually play it - you don't really notice the expiry dates.

This. During my time in the nexus dev I haven't been very bothered by this food spoiling. I think though to counter this we could have more mobs spawn? I haven't seen a wild pig or even cow in ages.

  7. Not sure where you're getting that I have a problem with anything... I merely pointed out that it was written in the game world on signs as different names. I was talking about future names when you misread my post.

Oh I must've misread your post… but by problems I meant concerns or ideas to try and fix this issue.
