I have always been a huge fan of the Dark Iron Dwarves in WoW, and have always had a fondness of Dwarves. I feel like this would be a fantastic clan to be apart of for my first Dwarf Character on LoTC

What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying to me has always been about creating wonderful and interesting characters and living life through their eyes, crafting a story with others and living in a fantasy world unlike our own.

What is metagaming?: Metagaming is basically the people who take OOC information into IC, knowing things that as the player, they are aware of...but as the character they wouldn't be. 

What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Powergaming is where one player does godly unrealistic things they have no feasible way of performing, but also those who remove the choice of response to others (Ex: Lord Joe takes out his flaming greatsword and looks at Venerax, and in a single leap slices his head off.) What he should have done was (Ex: Lord Joe takes out his flaming greatsword and ATTEMPTS to jump towards Venerax, swinging his sword upon them.)

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.)

Born to a long line of Hansetian soldiers and guards, Volkhard Markwardt's first moments were in the loving arms of his father; Adelbert Markwardt, a Man-at-arms for the House of Barbanov This led to the young Volkhard to be raised to follow the ideals and beliefs of Canonism. Volkhard's childhood was rather simple and pleasant, spending his times practicing with wooden swords, learning how to read by reading the histories of great battles that were fought and when was of age, went hiking through the Rothswood. Despite the starkness of his people's literature and outlook, Volkhard had an almost flamboyant personality, speaking loudly and often strived to bring merriment amongst his fellow men and women. 

However, after one of his trips, he had gotten word that his father had fallen ill. Quickly he returned to his family home, seeing his father resting weakly in his bed, pale as a ghost and weakened. Spending the last of the moments with his father before the illness finally claimed him, he finished burying his father with his distant mother by his side, now a sullen Widow. The two shared a final tender moment, a mother's embrace before Volkhard left to seek the comfort of The Creator at his Temple. Spending nights and days, prayer and contemplating until he found the answers he sought. Renewed with a new found spark, he gathered what supplies he could and ventured out, to truly find himself.

Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) Despite the Tragedy, Volkhard is still a boisterous and Kind-hearted Soul, he is also a loyal man with a fire for battle in his soul, willing to fight for a cause worth fighting for, and when not, likely drinking or hearing tales of battle. He enjoys drinking, battle, merriment and making new friends and allies, however, he dislikes liars, Cowards, and those would harm innocent people.

Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) His Ambitions is to become a great warrior, striving to one day be like Owyn The Purifier; The Flaming Sword Patron of Purity, War, and Fire.

Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) He is very good at swordsmanship, decent enough at reading, and is extremely brave.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) He is unable to whisper, often has problems with his ability to Focus on more wordy matters, is extremely reckless.

Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?) He appears to be 6'2 feet tall and brawny looking man with thick auburn hair and beard. His arms thick and long, his Chest like a barrel of flesh and muscle. He seems to almost always be seen smiling and laughing, with a kind look in his green eyes. His accent is of Aesterwaldian decent, and his voice is always booming.
