  1. ((There has yet to be any reveal of House Flay and her allies intentions to rebel))

((I heard oocly there was an announcement. Not sure if it is legit or not. I really don't want to find out in character and it actually be information gained through Meta.))

  2. ((read carefully it says 2pm-5pm EST, so yeah, could still happen.

Also, Mogroka said he worships a "Dark Lord." Is magic always evil in Asulon?))

((To some in Oren magic is considered an ill thing to practice. We are more religious then magic based now, and of course our culture was nearly decimated by necromancers so for the most part we in Oren find magic to be distasteful. Of course some still practice it, but we have burnt a few witches at the stake so practicing magic would be a dangerous thing to do if you are not on the King's good side, or you are on the bad side of someone who is close to the king.))

((I do think it is safe to say the event will not happen today))

  3. ((yeah.

My connection to the server went down, so yay me, I get to miss it. Anybody else have the same problem?))

((The server itself has been going down all day don't worry. Besides the event was supposed to begin at 2pm EST and it is now 4:40 without the parties conducting this attacking having logged on. It'll probably be postponed or moved to a secret time.))

  4. (I don't think the issue with the undead was in them existing, but in them being the main antagonists that drew away national conflict rp. If the blood mages or liches attack sporadically over the course of many years I would not mind; they just shouldn't be the main villains unless they have fairly won many battles which is unlikely.)

  5. If anything when your armor breaks it should become unusable and removed from your body. Armor never completely disappeared, smiths can fix up most damages.

I say if we go with this, instead of your armor completely breaking, it should be removed from your person should it get into the low red. Repairing it from the low red should cost 2 of the required material as opposed to the 1 it should cost to anything else.

As for the update in general, I have heard good arguments for both sides so I really am undecided. I'd have to see in practice.

We need a Test server and volunteers to see how these things work before implementing them into the server.

  6. About the location, I like the place I found, not only is the land completely uninhabited but it also has ocean access for a ship, and we shouldn't fight with the orcs soon after the beginning, that would easily lead to our demise.

About the name, I thought of "Rarosdak" which is a combination of the two.

Don't you think that is insanely far out for a town with such a small population?

I am pretty sure that snow island is uninhabited and it is close to the mainland and not absurdly far away.

    Scratch that it isn't

  7. ((Paintings back in the day were extremely expensive. The poorest to afford portraits would be well off to wealthy merchants. It was mostly something Nobles and Royals commissioned. So if you are a peasant why would you get a painting? You need to spend your money on food and tools whereas nobles can just throw money around. I say it is a fair price in an RP sense. Besides the fewer requests he gets means the higher quality the work will be since he won't be rushed by thousands of commissions.))

  8. I believe Seventh meant that during the battle of Das Boot you would have only captured the fort region and not the das boot region as a whole. I think seventh got Greenwall and das boot mixed up.

What he means is that you need one battle to capture a region and all its subregions

  9. (( I honestly think you all have to take a chill pill. In no way was I complaining. I'm not one of the people affected by this War Claim. I was simply speaking. Instead of saying "RARRR Stop complaining! RAR! It's RP! Rawr!" Actually have a legitimate conversation. I was not complaining. I was making conversation. Obviously social skills and social know-how is not a very well-known thing around here.

Whenever I state something here to spark intelligent conversation, I receive rage and blatant accusations that I am either crying, bitching or whining. This war claim doesn't affect me.

I was starting conversation. Learn how to interact with others without attacking them verbally. It is possible to speak nicely you know. I will attempt to once more start a conversation.

While others believe that Renatus and many others are capturing quite a bit of land simply to be powerful and hold onto it forever. I believe you people leading the warclaims have something much larger in plan. Perhaps some sort of mass event? What do you think about this? ))

You counter Ned's intelligent counter with a mocking passive aggressive rant telling him to make intelligent conversation without insulting you. Hypocrisy is frowned upon.

  10. UPDATE:

I am still working on this lore and history. It has been on a slow down the past week because school has been wrapping up. I do not doubt that I will be able to essentially finish this in about a week after classes are completed. I am however waiting on this new event to see how it may alter ancient lore.

  11. ((Eastern Oren sure didn't seem culturally unique to me until the Teutonic Order cropped up. As to the orcs - it is an island at incredible distance from the orcish mainland. Unless orcs, at the time, were highly advanced naval technicians, it's doubtful they even knew of Rhen's existence.))

((Take it with a pinch of salt, I am working to make the world of Aegis seem more realistic instead of the massive peace loving city state it was before. As for the distance thing, I am making anyone that comes from far away lands actually be a lot closer to the mainland so that they can fit into the lore. Reason is to cut down on farlanders, and as I have been told by some Gms I should ignore the existence of people from Far away lands because it breaks lore. I choose instead of voiding people from far away land's lore, to make their lore fit in as a piece of a puzzle to the history of Aegis.

We should continue this is pms though, don't want to clog up this thread))
