*A note is left on the board of the Guild, the only thing written on it being a name, "Head Researcher Leyu Khel'onn*

*To return and see several notices on the board attached to hers surprises Leyu, and as she reads she finds the conflicting messages almost funny* To the first, I could gain no entrance into Hansetii, and for all I could tell it was abandoned at the time of my arrival. I'll try again another time. To the second, I didn't expect it to be so easy, and in fact welcome the challenge. However every book written by someone with knowledge of magic has a magic of its own, fragments of important knowledge that when put together can make whole truths. That knowledge itself is incredibly important and fundamental, which is why I seek it out. And to Polgrath, the only one to leave a name, I imagine that we should meet soon and discuss such things. Indeed, I have no real use for power but knowledge itself is something that I crave. Action and reaction, push and pull, magic is a part of many things in the world that I had not imagined possible. What I seek is a knowledge of what magic is and does, and from there I may or may not pursue it further.

*as Leyu wanders Malinor, she heaves a sigh. After some time she finally decides to write the note, and attaches it to the leg of a public bird, paying the keeper some minas for the fee. The note reads* Polgrath, you've caught my attention. While I don't know any magic yet, I fully intend to learn magic and how it works. Because of this I fit into neither of your guild's defined groups. I would however venture to discuss magic with you given a time and place. It's something that's become far too interesting to pass up, and curiosity gnaws at me even as I write this, so I do hope that you'll indulge me soon. ~Leyu Khel'onn

*the writing on the piece of paper nailed to the notice board is sloppy and unpracticed, but legible* As I seem to have exhausted the library of this city and several others I am seeking rare books containing knowledge of magic in any and all forms. I am willing to pay for rare and valuable information, both from books and word of mouth, about magic and how it works. *Posted a ways below the other notes, and off to the side so that it barely hangs off the board is a new note* I, Leyu, seek both work and shelter within the city. I am applying for the position of farmer, with the expectation that I can make at least double your quota, if I apply myself to it. I have not selected any specific house, and would be happy with any allotted living space be it an apartment or full home. As well as shelter and work, I'd like to sign up for weapons training, specifically the bow, as I currently cannot defend myself and have been attacked several times during my travels. I appreciate the time you've taken already to read this, and thank you for your consideration.
