  1. Dark robed, suspicious, and unmoving people, in storm.

    Hrmmm.

    Friendly. I say friendly.

Let's give them a nice cuddly huggle, and wuggle them till the sun comes up, eh?

I mean, who knows. They could just be wearing black robes, because it's the new fashion deal from where-ever they came from. Always gotta keep up with style and clothing!

  2. I'm thrilled about that quotation mark idea!

I've been wanting something like that for MONTHS. I even made a suggestion for it, waaay back. It was never looked at by staff, and I'm extremely glad you two also had a similar idea!

    But, I do have a suggestion/idea/what-ever-this-is.

Do you know how people always have to emote:

Bob [The sword glints in the sun, as Bob shows off his glittery sword of shininess, that's super amazingly sparkly, it's almost like a vampire.]

... when describing objects? Perhaps, there could be another way? As in, similar to the quotation mark thing, but without the quotation mark. Just a description, without your character's name or anything else with it. Basically, an emote, without the NAME in front of the emote, but rather. Just the emote by itself.

    For example.

Bob: The sword glints in the sun, as Bob shows the man his fancy glittery sword of shininess, that's super amazingly sparkly, that it's almost like a vampire..

It can also solve the CUT OFF emote problem, that I'm sure MANY experience. Such as, when you're trying to emote:

Jessica eats the cute sparkly eyed kitten, ripping off the kitten's head- -

... and then, your emote is cut off. So then you continue it with

Jessica- with her teeth, munching happily, as blood squirts out in all directions.

Instead, you could make it flow a bit better, with...

Jessica eats the cute sparkly eyed kitten, ripping off the kitten's head

Jessica: with her teeth, munching happily, as blood squirts out in all directions.

I don't know, it's a tiny little detail, but I believe it could give LotC a more of a STORY book feel, you know? Lets roleplay flow a tad bit better, I suppose.

Of course, you can say. "Oh but ... however-the-heck-I-spell-your-Forum-Name! We can't describe other objects, because it's counted as powergaming! Such as when you emote:

Bob: The sword breaks before it can hit Bob.

Then again, with such a small detail fix. There's of course other ways around it. As the OTHER existing alternatives of making these emotes already DO exist. So of course, it doesn't necessarily cause more problems, and it fixes a tiny little problem. So it's a win-win!

  3. Suspicious sword.

    Suspicious people.

    Suspicious EVERYTHING!

I say we eat a fine meal, to help keep our brain going, and then we can ponder over all these suspicious things afterwards.

Oh yes, and drop the bone sword, because bones aren't really pretty. Not at all fashionable, these days. Gotta keep up with the social trends.

  4. Spin spin spin. Twirl, blur, and then SLAM.

The elf found herself on the ground, her arms pinned and pushed against the ground. Her head throbs, and as she grimaces slightly, her eyes focuses on her attacker.

The Pumpkin-Man's head was in front of hers, his menacing pumpkin face blurring and refocusing as she gets out of her daze. "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I am the PUMPKIN KING!"

A low crackling is heard, and the elf's eyes widen in horror. Twisting around in panic, she's only able to splutter out non-coherent words, "B-Blu- W-Weh, t-tah..."

She manages to get her right leg free, and waves it around in the air frantically. Her thoughts were in a jumble, and she begins to wail. The only logical conclusion for this situation, was that the PUMPKIN KING wants to MURDER her.

She uses her last resort method of protection, one that has kept her safe through all these years. She sends her right foot straight towards the PUMPKIN KING'S "jewels and diamonds".

  5. Dizzy, and dazed yet again, the woman tries her best to escape the crowd. She was stuck between two options, whether or not she should just shove her way through the crowd, or just let them push her around, before she gets shoved into a safe corner like before. Exasperated, she reaches out a hand slowly, trying to shove aside a stranger in front of her, but before she could do so, she's slammed into the right by a rather tummy-heavy dwarf. Stumbling around, she's knocked to the right and left, and then spun around by the crowd.

Then suddenly, a flash of orange. She blinks, focusing at the person in front of her.

A rather horrifying pumpkin-man stood in front of her.

Her face slowly loses color, as she gives a small squea-

    SLAM!

Before she could soil her pants, she's suddenly shoved aside by the crowd, stumbling and spinning around dizzily like before. Now she was horrified and disoriented at the same time.

  6. The elf blinks, peeking at what the man had done with the pumpkin. The face was crooked, and seemed to be sneering at her, with a very very sinister look on it's face.

    "Masterpiece."

She blinks, glancing at the man and then back at the pumpkin, her eyebrow raised slightly.

    "Errrrh. W-well, I-I mea-mean, i-it's, urh... ki-kinda s-scary I guess, b-but yes, i-it's nice, I ehm, suppose!"

Twiddling with her shirt, she glances around. She hoped that she would recognize someone in the crowd, although that was highly unlikely, and quite impossible. Slightly disappointed, she turns back to the stranger.

"W-Well, ehm, anyways, urh. I guess now that you've urh, paid, I urh, guess I should... wehhh, get going or something... I mean, urh, I would LOVE to talk to you... but... urh...", she gives the pumpkin a glance, before coughing, "Ehm, but... uweh... uhhh....", trailing off, she turns bright pink, as she gives the man a quick wave, yelping, "B-Bye!"

She stumbles off, well, to the best of her ability. It was more of a... take a step forward, before getting swallowed by the crowd, and-then-not-knowing-where-the-heck-you-are-anymore sort of thing.

  7. A small Wood Elf stumbles out from a nearby forest, her eyes catching sight of the colorful tents and crowds of people. Gasping for air, she glances behind herself nervously, her eyes focusing on seemingly nothing. Something must've caught her eye, as she gives a small yelp, and barges her way into the crowd, instantly engulfed by the masses of people.

Her eyes dart around quickly, as she hops up and down on her feet, trying to see over the crowd. Before she is able to discern anything, she is bumped and elbow'd by the mob, pushing her left, right, forward and back. It left her dazed and dizzy, and even more out of breath than she was before.

She slumps against what she assumes was a food stall, wrapping her arms across her chest, taking deep and shaky breaths. She watches as people of all races push by, and move forward in gigantic blobs. Her eyes dart around quickly, her fingers tapping against her leg, slightly nervously.

    Writtle. Scretchy, Scrachity Scratch.

The elf's face seems to turn white, as she freezes up. Slowly, she jerks her head to her left, and to her relief, only sees a man stabbing what seemed to be a face onto the pumpkin. She glances around, frowning slightly, noticing the death-stare the Stall Manager seemed to be giving the robed man.

"E-Erah... D-Did you pay for that? I mean, it looks like you didn't. Urh, well, it's just that, I noticed how you seemed to be all robey and kinda urh, suspicious looking. Which, uraah... led to my... urhm, ASSUMPTION. But, urh, I m-mean, s-stabbing pumpkins... ehm, without permission is usually, ahhh--- a c-crime of sorts, I would suppose! I-I mean,I-I've noticed t-that the store manager... h-has b-been giving you this SCARY stare! A-And, urh, it's kinda... urhm, interesting... how urh... well, I mean. That's a nice pumpkin design and everything... Just fantastic, but....", the elf waves her arms around frantically while blabbing on, occasionally taking deep breaths in-between her sentences. For a while, she seems stuck on how to continue her sentence, opening and closing her mouth, before spluttering out, "I-don't-think-the-store-owner-appreciates-you-defacing-his-property-and-PRODUCTS-that-he-is-trying-to-sell!"

Weezing slightly, she collapses back against the stall, breathing heavily.

  8. Well.

That fat guy is onto something, man. He's scheming about us. You see him lying on the ground like that? It's all a FAKE! IT was STAGED! They're trying to make themselves look all FRIENDLY, when they're actually EVIL DEMONS, that are TRYING TO TAKE YOUR SOUL.

    Eh. Whatever.

Go on the carriage with them. I'm scared of the dark.

  9. I have known The_Blind_Seer since Aegis since around... the first two weeks after I joined?... and I've sure had a lot of fun times with him.

It's a shame he can't pop into the server much anymore, though... , and I'm glad he decided to still contribute to the server in the only way he can, which is through the Forums.

He's often around the Forums, and I often see him lurking around on certain posts... He doesn't reply often, but that doesn't matter in the end.

To be a good Forum Moderator, you don't need a lot of posts, or a lot of WELL KNOWN friends, or even be a WELL KNOWN person yourself. It's about how you'll do the job, how efficiently you do it, and also how DEVOTED you are to the job.

I often envision The_Blind_Seer as that one reliable guy, who is always able to make bad situations a lot better. Through humor yes, but of course it is still a great method on calming people down. Take Voltaire for example. He was a philosopher who succeeded in spreading his ideas through humor and wit. (Well, he DID get in trouble a lot because of it, but he spread his ideas quite succesfully) Quite a good trait for Forum Moderator, as they're usually there to keep the flames down low, with their water hoses.

Of course, Zane can also be quite serious, on many occasions, actually. If the situation calls for him to be strict, I can see that he will put forth a punishment swiftly. He may have a humorous side to him, but he understands the boundaries between joking around and plain harassment and bullying. He also has the foresight of seeing when a FLAME WAR is about to commence, and how to deal with it accordingly.

I've also found that through the months (almost a year!) of knowing him, he's a very leveled-headed person. I've NEVER seen him get irritated, and never once have I seen him angry or frustrated about something. Instead of thrashing back, or complaining publicly about something, he often looks for the SOLUTIONS on how to solve issues. Usually turning to friends or other people from within the community, for their own opinions, before coming to a conclusion. A bit like researching for an essay, except more of surveying people for their thoughts.

It's great that The_Blind_Seer had decided to try and go for the Forum Moderator rank again, and I hope him the best of luck!

  10. @Aengoth

At first, I thought you were Danny, because of your avatar.

    Then I realized you weren't.

Then, I thought for a bit, and was, "Oh. I actually think I saw posts you've made, thinking you were Danny."

And then I realized, to think you're Danny, your posts must be pretty mature and balanced.

I'll give you a 8/10, just because you seem like a pleasant person to know.

    :}

    EDIT:

    -------I was. NINJA'D. ;m;-------

    @Starbreaker

    I believe you're Hapsi's father, if I'm not mistaken?

You were in that Forum Roleplay waaay back in Mobius, before Summer started, right?

I've seen you around quite a lot actually.

    9/10

  11. I remember when he gave me a Biology lesson in the OOC chat, right before finals last year. Helped me a lot, actually. Got a pretty good grade on it.

+1, because he helped me study!

    No, but really....

I've never seen Nppeck troll, he's always uptight and quite serious, very similar to his characters, Marius and Ariana (MRS. SERIOUS FACE).

Like Marius, he's proven to have great leadership skills, and always seems to be focused on getting the job done. I actually remember back in the days when I was part of the White Ravens, I thought he was actually the OWNER of the whole town, when he actually wasn't (Well, I think he was, towards the end), just because he acted SO professionally.

He also seems to be a pretty neutral guy who is able to see both sides of the problem clearly, which I would think is an EXTREMELY needed trait to become a Global Moderator. Now that I think about it, I don't believe I've seen Nppeck say anything BIASED, or really anything mean or downgrading against someone.

I'm sure it'll be beneficial to the Global Moderator Team, and the whole community if he gets accepted.

    Edit:

It's amazing to see how far he's gone. From that one guy I met in that Newbie Town on his first day on the server, to an amazing leader, mature human being, and a great friend.

Almost makes me JEALOUS. Oh wait, I am! Haha...

Good luck Nppeck! I hope you get accepted!

  12. AHHHHH! I'm late, I'm late! WHY DIDN'T I DO THIS SOONE-

    nchij_e9_p2.gif

    EEEEAAAAAAHHHHH!

    Hey! You!

    Accept this man!

His roleplay has been proven exceptional, and I've seen that he is quite an 'good AMAZING Role-Player'.

In all my Role-Play experiences, I've had quite a lot of fun around him.

Of course, me and Dante talk a lot in OOC, as many already know/seen.

He's been proven to be a mature, cool-headed person.

I sincerely hope that Dante gets accepted to this rank.

It will be great for Dante and the community as a whole.

  13. Ahhh, this seems interesting and nice, and I am looking forward to this!

It's a shame though, I feel as if Asulon was never given enough time to fully blossom or work out, or that the problems have never been fixed or fully worked around. Asulon was a really beautiful place, and the builders did a really amazing job.

No matter how many people miss Aegis, I still have many fond memories of Asulon, maybe even BETTER memories than I've had for Aegis.

Perhaps that's because I had around two months in Aegis before the map change, but that's just me.

However, that means we can expect something a lot more amazing in Lord of the Craft 3.0!

We now know mistakes to prevent, and what the general community thinks is a good idea.

We always make mistakes before the final product, of course, and Lord of the Craft 3.0 may not be our last map either. Who knows?

    I'm looking forward to this!
