Oh **** no. Why are people trying to make this server a safe space? I enjoy going to warzones on my offtime when there isn't anything else to do due to a lack of events or stagnant and stale rp from cookie cutter personas. Why limit the amount of people even? It's bad enough that you've limited raids down to three people! And god forbid we consider any villainy with two people or more to be a raid these days. Why even consider making people sit around in a warzone for an hour of their time doing absolutely nothing. Why would you even consider making the capture point timed again? That was the most garbage idea I've seen be put into play in the warzone scene. People hopping on at midnight to capture the point and hold it over night. Ninja captures and hiding from all the battles that really should matter. Honestly people have better things to do than sit around at a capture point for an hour or even hop on to recapture or fend off a 3 man party performing ninja captures with absolutely no gear what so ever. Why ban horses either??? Why do we even have them if you can't do anything else with them. Use them for travel? Traveling doesn't even exist anymore with fast travels. The only other thing would be to use it in your 3 verses 50 raiding party which you can't even raid during warzones which limits horse usage even more!
I bet more than half of the votes are from people who never even go to warzones or do any pvp of any kind on this server. "Oh would you look at the obvious pvp hungry lotc player over here!" You can choose to dislike pvp on lotc, but don't outright kill it. Thanks. He's not talking about limiting players in the warzones. He's talking about potentially limiting horses if horses are allowed in the warzone.

Horses should be allowed, I agree they're overpowered and cavalry/horse nerfs are already in the workings but don't limit warzones to just brainless clicky-clicky pvp, having horses means you need actual strategy
The presence of horsemen doesn't necessitate deeper strategy from either the horsemen themselves or the foot soldiers in my opinion.
Being a horseman on LOTC has a very low skill ceiling.

Horses would be allowed to their fullest extent in the ideal scenario but the horses are *******
ridiculous. It's a bit ridiculous seeing PVP videos consisting of horses (that are faster than the mouse in my avatar) running point blank at people and pointing their bows like two feet away from their target because bows do more damage than a melee weapon ever will with the multitude of bonuses that you can get for archery damage.

You should make your own topic. This post makes a lot of good points that need to be more visible. +10 -

Citations? lol I never stopped you from buying a shop and frankly I left most building sales to my steward team at the time. To me sir it looks like you're trying to throw stuff on me simply because of my roleplay involvement in an opposing faction. Try again friendo
I'm not going to show Skype logs on this public topic like a typical scum lord but we both know that you admitted to barring me from Oren and everything you controlled after I told you that I had to get a new account to just be able to roleplay again.
If you did that to someone who mostly just tagged along for the ride, you probably did it to him too.
Telling him that he's just grr oren grr isn't going to change the fact that you attempted to OOCly bar people (not characters but the players behind them) from making new characters and joining anything within Oren and places that you had little OOC jurisdiction in like the Snow Elves.
I did admit on the night of your departure that I would have liked to see what you would have actually done for the server since you were entirely unproductive and inactive in the GM team while being occupied with Oren but the last thing the server needs at this point is another Orenian GM.
Orenian GMs and Dwarven GMs were barred from setting up the warclaim area for this past war to avoid potential bias understandably. This led to the warclaim area not being set up because there was not enough manpower otherwise. This reveals the necessity for there to be GMs from lesser represented playerbases or at the least with very obscured/not-so-obvious nation alignments. These GMs would be able to be put into charge of the many Orenian wars that are still likely to come.
From an objective perspective that sees the need for unquestionably unbiased manpower for the many warclaims to come from the Empire, the server needs GMs who aren't from the Orenian playerbase.

Wrong in everything except that I used to play when I was younger and I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only one.
I'm not saying you. I do believe that someone who doesn't have a job, hasn't gone to higher education, hasn't really left their hometown or seen the world really, and still lives with their parents can not properly decide where they stand politically.
How can one make a justified and informed decision if they don't know enough about what they're deciding on?
You can't decide you're left when you don't understand the motives and backgrounds of those on the right and vice-versa.
Note: I am not excluding myself from these judgments but I do not think that I am qualified to decide if I am left libertarian when I have never been exposed to the perspectives of the right.

I took the test but I would like to say how much this test sticks out like a sore thumb here.
Lord of the Craft attracts people who are young or used to play here when they were little kids. Additionally, it seems to attract people who have been somewhat sheltered or lean towards introversion.
I argue that very few of us have the life experience to support and defend our answers to these questions without coming off as uninformed.

What if I said that taking care of PVP themed issues wasn't the most important thing for a roleplay server?
Devs probably put the bulk of their time towards upgrading to 1.11 and other kinds of things rather than touching swing timers. Like, c'mon dude. If you need your fix of 1.7 pvp or whatever it is there are other servers.
lag prevents everyone from typing in chat properly or doing just about anything and it is also one of the problems i put in my post.

We are now 11 days from 2017.
We have yet to see the removal of swing timers or addition of 1.8 weapons. :C
We have yet to feel anything of relevance done to the server mechanically to fix the random lag when nothing is happening or the PVP that is dominated by kangaroo sonic horses.
This thing that you guys are doing is a battle but it isn't the most important one.
Why does the server lag like it's running out of a can of beans?
You're being distracted.

I think we have it quite good, as it happens. People love to meme on this server but it rarely goes beyond that if you have a stiff upper lip.

It's Tahmas' job to make sure it gets done, no matter who does it. Also, he barred all the Oren and Dwarf GMs from helping to set up the WC, which didn't exactly help.
That still leaves the other half of the team.
Yes, it is Tahmas' job to tell them what to do but if the GMs show no sign of initiative and self-motivation to do something then it is also on them. The GMs who weren't barred from setting the warclaim up should have done so regardless if Tahmas told them to do it or not. They're not dogs. They're people who can judge a situation and perform accordingly.

A collective ****-up by the people Tahmas was in charge of.
Agreed but that is not how the team works. Anyone on the team could have stepped up at any point to set up the warclaim.
I'm not sure if you have friends in the staff team but, if you do, you have to acknowledge that they're all at fault here even if they're nice people.
Any GM could have done this and none of them did.

This is how I replied to Shala concerning Tahmas. This is not the fault of any one individual.1 -

This is a terrible ******* idea. I get this is a meme (hopefully) but just to explain what I mean to anyone who takes this seriously:
It's already bad enough with the constant spam in chats of "XD +1 MY FUNNAY MAYM SHITPOSD" fuelled by group vs group or individual on individual conflict, so I really don't want to start seeing people get like -40 rep on a post due to another player's friend group's dislike for them.
I agree with the weaboo but it makes me wonder how the mass downvoting was controlled back in Asulon. I really can't remember how they moderated the downvote brigades.
I want to say that they didn't because i remember one guy being at -4000 or something crazy.

There are a lot of things I can say that I dislike about spooky beings but I really only need to say one. I don't think that spooks should be frequenting towns with the thought in their head that they plan to get a drink and not die. They're dark beings. The immediate perception is that they're evil. It doesn't matter if they actually aren't because people won't see them as good.
I also don't think that they should be so easy to block out of the city though.
I can see the reasons for getting sick of spooks though. (One of the few things I can actually say that I fully agree with Leo on.) I have only ever seen two types of spooks in my experiences on this server. The ones that use the spook persona to make themselves pests more than respectable antagonists and the ones that mostly just abuse the personas for their PVP buffs.

Pyro's Intervention in RP
in Axios OOC Archive
Posted
The Administration team has been popularly thought of in the context of the hostility between itself and the Empire of Oren. To be more specific, they are viewed as a regressive clique of “career staff members” who are allegedly anti-Orenian with the general goal “to preserve the status quo as much as possible.” While this view may be popular with many individuals, it does nothing to reveal the reality of the character of those who made the posts. There have been many popular posts made in outrage against the staff for intervening in dynamic roleplay but there have not been many that lambast the individuals who wrote them.
Vegetarianism is a player of the community that has become more synonymous with anti-Orenian movements and rebellious sentiments than Narthok or even DPM; however, I believe he is most recognized as the guy who had land sniped through staff bureaucracy (I can use this word too) a multitude of times. He has been forcibly robbed of his land with Courland in Vailor, allegedly some land in Lorraine, and arguably some land in the old Dreadlands when my deal fell through with @pb and james when he was removed from power for no apparent reason that I could see. This shows that Vege is no stranger to getting his land taken from him through OOC avenues. It also shows the predisposition Vege has to getting his land taken away OOCly. These past incidents should be indicators for what the administration’s next course of action should be. There are two reasons why you should not answer Pyro’s pleas for staff intervention.
The first reason that Pyro’s plea for staff intervention should not be answered is because of the image that he linked of his Skype chat with Wolfie.
One can see that his conversation with Wolfie clearly states that Pyro would receive the land when he was “done with it.” In other words, if Pyro were to receive the land then it would not be until Wolfie fully decided to hand it over or when his time ran up. However, something else occurred before Pyro was able to be given the land. This event that transpired changed the course of things and led to the land being handed to GGT and Vege. The situation was described in the image below by GGT in a post he made within the thread.
According to GGT, he asked Wolfie (the region owner of the land at that time) if the region owner perms being given to him made RP sense to which GGT claims Wolfie responded with yes. Additionally, it is important to note that GGT states that there were no imperial guards occupying the fort but there were Felsen Watch mercenaries (his cringey mercenary group).
The evidence above contradicts the reasoning for Pyro’s call for admin intervention in which he claims that the land “isn’t wolfie’s to give anymore” since “RPly its in the imperial hands” and a “revolt from this region wouldn’t be legitimate.” GGT’s post reveals that the land was given to him legitimately and that the region owner of the land in question transferred ownership to him. To hammer the point that the land was given legitimately even further into the ground, the nation leader rule additions that Tsuyose implemented also say that any denial to be removed from the land in question would initiate an immediate open rebellion.
This means that region must be placed into open rebellion since Pyro is wanting GGT and Vege removed from the region.
The second reason that Pyro’s pleas for staff intervention should not be answered is because he doesn’t want you to get involved in dynamic roleplay. The topic below will reveal to you all of the opinions that Pyro and Orenian leadership hold against admin intervention.
And this is from me to you, Pyro:
