Orcs built the ruins themselves and ran events, with some staff help, themselves.

This wouldn't fly in this day and age. We were having a player-run event in Urguan and we caught **** for it from the ET saying that we weren't allowed to do so apparently. A lot of people who'd been at the event had their mood killed when this happened. I wasn't there for it because I expected something of that sort to have happened because it'd happened to me in Athera, Vailor and Axios.

Additionally, even though there is technically more freedom with player-made lore these days. I think we're still at least somewhat expected to run things through the LT. Even if they were the most lenient LT in the history of the server, people would still feel apprehensive about approaching them with their ideas.

Edit: I liked Asulon, Vailor and Axios. All of these maps have been bigger than other maps. I think the map size is fine. My only problem right now is the disgusting spawn. It really just needs to be remade. This should be pretty easy since its in its own world. We should just be able to make a new world file for the spawn and put it in place of the current one right?

That's not really fair lol. I'll add your clan in with the rest if you like, but I'm not excluding everyone else because you don't want anyone to be there. I'm just going to add in your clan (Taloha?) in the single sentence everyone elses' clan is mentioned in. The part that mentions the bloodlines were formed during this time.

More than one sentence in fact.

But your terms are solid so yeah, sure. Just include Taloha in the list if you want.

Since we've basically made the decision that "everyone" will be included into this, can the mentions have a little bit more effort put into them? I remember you mentioning wanting the LT to work with the players to construct lore for groups. So work with me and Lego. I feel very intentionally left out of this integral aspect of my only race that I have ever played and led groups in because of OOC disagreements and strife.

Even a few paragraphs of the Oussana, Des'nox, Taloha, and (Lego's Family) just talking to each other/saying good byes before getting on their individual boats to sail to Aegis would be cool. We can even get together and RP it all out in a Skype chat if you want.

Anyways, my main argument with the lore was simply that those families were mentioned and they were not even mentioned in a way in which they were integral or added anything to the lore. They were literally just little mentions that almost appeared to be attempts at sneaking them in. Otherwise, it's good and I apologize if you were bothered by me arguing with you about your lore in the thread.

You may take off your tinfoil hat. As I offered to Lego, I will add in your group to the history. As it stands, the only presence modern day clans have in the OP is "they were formed around this time, and existed".

    Also, my thoughts echo Swgr's.

I'd rather that all the groups are excluded from ancient history. If you are serious about adding us in then just PM me and let me know where the best points in your lore are that would allow the Warhawkes to be most easily implemented.

  4. Now that more people are starting to say it. I also agree that no names of any modern families should be in a lore being advertised through the title as an official story or origin. I can understand for the mali'ame since there is no active competition against the current mali'ame establishment. The same cannot be said about Ker'nor.

They have an active playerbase acting as an alternative location for dark elves.

If I hadn't lost my tinfoil hat, I'd also say that mentioning the Ker'nor groups only is a sly attempt to undermine my playerbase.

  5. Riv’vallel (Dark Elven)

Riv’vallel is the vassal settlement of Haelun’or (high elves) where the Warhawkes reside. Many dark elves live there alongside a mix of other elves and even humans. Riv’vallel is a city consisting of many colorful tents. The people there are hard workers. They can often be seen planning trips, setting up decorations for festivals, or sparring. To the individual who likes a mix of the quiet life with a sprinkle of extraneous physical activity here and there, this place is for you!

    People to look out for

I_am_Ricky - Ereinion Taloha III: The current Chieftain within the Warhawkes. He’s a medium height dark elf with average ears and a Ronin-style haircut. He’s the one with the blue jacket and can help you in finding a home, work on your fighting technique and even smith you some tools to get you going.

Kukiii - Erolas Ba’ikana: He’s a guard within Riv’vallel but he is also much more than that! He can often be seen in a brown duster jacket and wearing his favorite gold earrings. He’ll help you in finding a home and help you integrate yourself into the community. He’s pretty good with horses too. So if you stick around, he’ll give you one for free.

Esry - Leona Ba’ikana: Wife to Tahiti Ba’ikana. She is the proclaimed den mother of the Warhawkes. She cooks, handles leather, and assists the Chieftain in many organizational activities. She can keep you fed and give you a temporary home in the Inn. She’s not a dark elf like the other two but she’s just as helpful (if not more).

    Directions

Follow all the signs to Haelun’or and take the boat to Haelun’or. When you’re going up the path to Haelun’or, look out for a tunnel that takes you through the mountain. It’ll put you on the road to Riv’vallel— the city of the Warhawkes tucked behind the mountains.

  6. " The Warhawkes went to speak with the dark elven group that has been growing in numbers within the Uzg when Oren came and tried killing everything they saw. They even tried to kill retreating Warhawke diplomats.  To believe that even the elven snaga, involuntary slaves of the Uzg, are in the sights of this war reveal the true intent of both Artimec and the Empire. It has nothing to do with revenge, liberation or to protect Elven kind or the Empire. It is an attack for monetary gain. "

The Chieftain Ereinion continues his work for organizing the Tournament of the Chieftains after sending off the letter on the World Wide Web of Axios.

If this is about the wood elves suddenly having a more fleshed out and developed history than the other races... have you SEEN what the Oren vet players have? Pages upon pages of genealogy and history and **** I couldn't hope to match. And it's a bit petty if your attitude is "If we don't have it, you can't have it either". Like, GO OUT AND WRITE YOUR RACE'S HISTORY. MAKE IT AS IN-DEPTH AS MINE. NO ONE IS STOPPING YOU. HELL, IT'S MY JOB TO HELP YOU AND SUPPORT MAKING IT CANON.

I'll be the one to say that the argument of what Orenian vet players have isnt entirely valid. Most of Orenian historical figures that you can find on the wiki or in public access can be tracked down as having been played by an actual player. The vast majority of their historical lore was played out. It wasn't constructed as an after thought.

  8. How bad can it be? Lt doesnt have access to the console. :^)

Put him in the team because he is productive even if he is controversial. I can't imagine the next team being lazy if matt is there to yell at them for being lazy.

Get new people. Don't re-accept the old people. Don't accept people who are literally just the same old **** we've always had but with different IGNs. Lore team needs to step up.

The Chieftain Ereinion sits within their new campsite being built up. He knew he wanted nothing to do with the Dreadlandic lands any longer or human affairs. So he ponders on who to give the land to. He knew he wished to give the land to a man of Oren, a man who he knew he had fought against. He only knew one such man that he had fought against when he tried to rebel against Oren. He writes a letter to Tobias Wintaun.

"To Tobias Wintaun, I have given you the Dreadlandic lands in the wake of the Lorraine man I spoke with being removed of his position. May you care for the land properly."

The Wintaun soldiers begin to garrison within the lands. The Chieftain continues to set up his camp, unaware of whether or not he had made a proper decision. He only knew he'd given the land to a man that he recognized as a human lord.

I'll say that for most of the time, I was memeing but this was unnecessary. I don't care about being professional when it comes to things like the noose jokes, but this was an unnecessary jab that was just meant to hurt feelings. Yes, once friends but it doesn't make saying **** like that alright. I could go on.

You were questioning my right/legitimacy behind play a Dark Elf and telling me to go back to a faction server. In other words, you were attacking the fact that I like to PVP as a reason as to why I'm not a good Elf player. I take pride in my roleplay just like any other LOTCer.

As a once close friend, you knew that telling me that was going to hurt me quite a bit. So I hurt you back.

Don't try and make jabs if you can't take the jabs that get thrown back at you. Don't whine and cry when you try to get under people's skin and they respond with something equal or worse than what you said.
