so just to confirm - if Momo and Popo put in an appearance then this whole tournament is null and void right - cuz you won't be lonely anymore right? Cuz you know your parents wouldn't approve of you putting yourself up as a prize for a klomp, they would actually want you to be mated with "son of Krug" that cared for you, sort of like how you parents are. If the answer is no, our appearance won't affect this tournament you put your self up for then well no point showing up is there. Think about it daughter.

ok - so let's review.... the problem is.... the orcs are too far away from everyone to enjoy the way we use to RP? Have I got it? If so then the solution is rather obviouse..... MOVE THE ORC CAPITAL! Will it be easy to do? Nub! Why don't we move the capital to the closest point ralative to the other nations? How or why ICly we do it is just details- if we want it, and it improves RP on the server it should be done.

I know for a fact that the food supply isn't the problem - the orc nation has more then enough food in storage alone never mind the fact that the fields and animals are harvested almost every day. It maybe you didn't carry enough food on you or you don't like how much inventory space it takes up or the fact that you had to go all the way into the valley to get your rations but the supply of food isn't the problem. Please don't say it is. Jutra and Jarkarll are on vacation - Jarkarll has his own reasons if he wants to discuss it's up to him. My reasons are varied. I'm not going to go into them as that involves naming names and I refuse to do that. The end result is that I was feeling unappreciated and so since I was so easily replaceable I left. The fields are still being harvested so yeah you will not starve. The nation needs a leader the orcs believe in and respect. ( I mean this in a general sense not directly at Pok) I know Rp wise it's the faster clicker gets the Rex but OOC'ly if folks don't think you're serious or capable of actually leading the nation then you won't get folks wanting to play thier orc chars. What you need to decide is what's more important - RPing with Pinkies or RPing with other orcs. While I was in the valley - there was tons of RP there. Poor Jarkarll use to complain that there were always strange orcs in our house. And he was right. When we got the orc camp near the temple, the RP in the city hit rock bottom. Everyone was at the camp. The same thing will happen when you make up a fast travel hub. Sure you get to where your going quicker but at what cost? The city will remain a ghost town due to all the orcs being everywhere but at the city. The answer.... I outlined it in this post here . Constant and consistent RP events and routines. Make the ones with the titles do something or lose the titles. And again as much as it makes sense RP wise to let the fastest clicker win - OOCly we know that doesn't make you a great leader or event planner or organizer - the orc's need to review this or you will lose more citizens. I love cliches they say things so well: "Success comes before work only in the dictionary."

I appreciate the perspective - I was hoping for claification and opinions here and I got it. What of children - the recent captures have been under 20 years of human age, not fallen warriors - same rules apply?

((Captureing slaves for the express purpose of selling them? Now I'm not talking about capturing them for labour, or them being the rewards of a pillage or a raid. I'm not even talking about if capturing them in and of itself is honourable. I mean: is it honourable to simply capture them to do nothing more then sell them for financial gain. We are orcs with strength and honour as things we uphold above all else, this is part of our Lore. I don't see where strength or honour is earned or shown in these captures and auctions. Are these driven by finiancial need as oppose to greed? I'm giving the benefit of the doubt here but I'd like to see how this practice is justified in orcish terms within our moral compass. ))

Jutra looks up at the big yawning orc and frowns as the looks of worry and relief washes over his face. She raises her eyebrows at the blood stained floor when he asks where the blood's from considering she's been skinning animals the entire time. Holding up her bloody hands and knife she looks down at her blood covered self, the skinned and to be skinned carcasses. She again raises her eyebrows at him while she let's the obviousness of his question settle on him. She checks his gaze as it settles on the blood tracks left by Mar-cus and nods in comprehension as the real question he is asking. "Oh dem be made by Mar-cus. Him and Blawharag went out." She carefully gathers the hides she's been cutting off the cows and gives them to Jarkarll to be made into leather armour at a later date. She then goes down the hall to indulge in one of the few halfling traditions she refuses to give up, a nice warm bath.

Jutra watches Blawharag drag Mar-cus out of her burrow, leaving traces of blood and ..other stuff on her floor. She sighs and turns her attention back to her skinning, hoping Mar-cus either survives this next session or gets flatten quickly to end his suffering.

Jutra watches Mar-cus literally run to the back of her burrow and sighs. Finished with the current carcus on her counter she retieves the next one and start her skinning routine. She moving her gaze to Blawharag and slowly shakes her head, compiling a list mentally of which items in the burrow she can take with her when she's exiled. She thinks to herself "Sumash beddur blah to oya houze guest how diz post to gu or da whole orc nation will be reduced to eating raw meatz early, mid, and after light."

Jutra watches Jarkarll go off to his den to nap then continues her work, raising her eyes every now and again at Mar-cus waiting to see what he's going to do next.

Jutra thinks she would like to skin Mar-cus as well but refrains from stating such. Smiling sweetly covered in cow blood, sinew and hide, "Dat bub'hosh Jarkarll, put dem ober here wid da udder ashes." nodding with her head in the direction of the carcases. "Mar-cus am healed and reddy fur Blawharag tu train nuw?", She askes as she savagly continues to remove the hide of the carcus she's currently working on.

Jutra had just finished hauling the last of the cow carcuses over to her cuukery when she hears the familiar "Juuuuuutttraaa!" Jarkarll has taken to shout. It was followed by "vere iz lat?" "Ib lat walk intu da burrow lat wud fynd me." She said in a huff as she began skinning the carcuses.

*meanwhile back at the burrow... Jutra wanders around her burrow, then the valley looking for Mar-cus her patient who's suppost to be resting, healing so he can train with Blawharag and prove himself worthy and that Jutra wasn't foolish in her accessement of Mar-cus being given a chance to prove himself worthy. Although at this point since this is the second time he's left the burrow without so much as a note (thank you very much!) she's quite sure he's going to get her exiled from the war ugz or worse, because he's obviouly a STOOPID MUSH HEAD. Jutra growls and stomps back to the burrow to find her culling sword so she can blow off this sudden bloodlust she's experienceing. As she proceeds to the animal pens, she silently makes a vow to never answer another question from Blawharag ever again and to let all pinkskins that enter the city hurt or maimed suffer and die instead of healing their sorry butts. Obviously in the thick of her bloodlust, she runs the rest of the way to the cow pen, eager to get started on her "therapy"

Jutra deeply respects shamans and what they can do (their mojo has literally changed her life) She's also fearful of Spirits (anyone who's read her journal would testify she has a right to be!) I can see her helping keep the lore and traditions of belief in Krug but I'm not seeing her with her own mojo, ancestors or spirits to guide her. Her medical help is all simple first aid techniques she learned from the human doc-tor Botar. (if the spell system ever gets put in - I'd like to have the healing spell but I'd RP it just as advanced medical training for her and nothing more.) Back on topic... I'm hoping to see more events from all of you - take up the torch and lets make sure this server knows why Orcs rule and pinkskins drool. (Yes..Yes I did just say that :rolleyes: ) Watch for my storytelling announcement.

Oh Mogroka - you just sparked an idea - Jutra's Story Time! Woot - no Gm required and I have meat cookies to hand out as well. I'm going to go figure out some stories to tell. I'll need to create a storytelling tent ( I know exactly what I want it to look like and it could double as a meeting tent) One will be in the valley and one in the outpost. yeah Jarkarll and Jutra have already had 4 cubs together and then there is Moskah. Thing is - after they grow up there isn' much for them to do - that is why I thought we should start expecting things from our titled orcs. Even if you don't have a title but can think up something to do - do it or ask the appropriate orc in chage for permission to do it. Orcs are a really cool race we just need to keep our group active with things to do.

((lately I've noticed quite a few orcs growing bord. So the problem-solver/troubleshooting in me asked why? But I really don't care why so much as how can we make it fun again to be an orc. So here is my suggestion/proposition: If you have an orc title or are a "goth" of some sort of other shouldn't you be doing something to help with the orc RP? Like Huntgoth - he's job is to hunt out food for the war ugz. So I would like to see this position have the actual job of leading orcish hunts for food on a regular basis. - maybe it's always a Gm event that happens a few times a month at times most of us are on. The Huntzgoth's IC role is to scout out new hunting grounds for us to hunt on and OOC they are to co-ordinate with a GM to make sure the event happens at the correct time at the correct spot with the correct mobs (maybe we have other types of hunts but this is one that should re-occure often enough the orcs have something to look forward to and it's not that much of a hassle for the huntzgoth to arrange.) Targoth - you're head of the army - hello training drills anyone? You (each of you) get together and make this happen - training exercises, games etc. We are a nation of warriors let's play like it. Wargoth - leader of your clan - what's happening with your clan? Is your lore all sown up? The wikki section for your lore completed. Any open positions that need to be filled? your clan fort complete? Your clan supplies all gathered? Have you made any plans for some RP fun regarding your clan and possibly others? Rex - he's in charge of starting/finishing wars, leading the nation etc. OOC you can ask the other titled orcs what they are up to and oocly kick their butt if they are laxing - also if someone is inactive I think you as Rex has the right to expect the problem to be fix - either by holding that person accountable or arranging for a Klomp for the title if the ones under the inactive one hasn't already started doing this. You get the idea - if each of the titled orcs arranged something for the orcs to do on a predicable basis (there are positions I've not mentioned but if you have a title let's use it to create some fun RP for the orcs.) As Head farmer and cook - I've been able to allow others to use the farms to level their skills be it actual farming or a weapon skill on the livestock. I've also had others level up lumberjack on the trees in the valley. I'll admit to scratching my head to come up with other things I could do. I'm all ears if you have suggestions for me to organize. My point here isn't to point fingers at anyone but to encourage us to use what we have to start getting our orcs interested in being orcs. And I hate to say it but if you have a title and don't want to use it then let the orcs know so someone can klomp you for your title which would let the victor start doing stuff with it. I just see too many orc leaving to play other chars or to go play other games entirely and I think this might help with that a bit.))

attached to the new message board of the outpost is a small note written in neat legible writing with pictures to accompany the words. ((ok so we need an RP reason to have this outpost here - hmmm The orginal idea was to provide very basic items (wood weapons and bread)to new orcs on their way to the orc nation. With the shop plugin not working, that idea sort of went out the window. With fast travel the RP reason would be moot. I could see Jutra using the outpost as a sort of welcome/information place. We could have Orcs hanging out there waiting for new orcs to show up. With a new orc they could get aquainted with the orcs that are there, we could have weapons and food stored in chests there that we would have our orcs hand out to the new orc, maybe they could go hunting with them to help them earn there fast travel fare (we wouldn't just give them the shinies - earn it by hunting would be the proper orcish honourable way! I can see a library of books (for when no one is around to blah to) for them to learn our customs and culture and language(yes it's in the wiki and the forums but nothing beats having it ingame to reinforce it.) I can see stocking the wood items and food as part of Jutra duties. With a bar in it, the orcs would have a reason to hang there as well. I can also see this as a sort of neutral ground for other races to come and hang with us without having to get klomped first to be able to interact with us. -This is my suggestion.))

Will you be redoing the palace every time we change Rex's? That can possibly happen every 2 weeks.
