Character’s name: Rhys Li’naen Character’s sex: Female Character’s race: Elf Character’s age: 56 Biography: Rhys was born as the descendants began their journey from the Isles of Vailor to the new land of Axios, spending her early years aboard a ship. Her mother, a wood elf, was a member of the elven military, acting as a scout and ranger. Her father left before Rhys had the chance to know him, only knowing that he was a high elf who was ostracized for his progressive views towards other elves. She was told he was a kind man, although she holds a resentment towards him for abandoning her and her mother as they journeyed for Axios. Rhys and her mother joined the wood elves on Axios, working to become active members of society. While Rhys was never outright shamed or ostracized, there was a clear tension as many viewed her high elf heritage as a reminder of their long conflict. Her mother taught her to create her brave face for the world, so none would see how they could hurt her. She taught her that if she wanted anything in this world, then she must work twice as hard until no one could argue her value. She would train with her mother daily. They lived a peaceful existence, before her mother was called to serve when the Axis powers rose against Oren. Her mother never returned. Rhys couldn’t bear the woods of Laureh'lin alone, and decided to venture outwards Drifting through the lands of men, looking for her purpose and peace. Personality Traits: Stubborn and strong willed, very cautious when it comes to trusting new people, independent but often unsure of her capabilities, presents a witty and aloof front to mask her fears Ambitions: As a half breed, she has never felt like she quite belonged within elven society. She feels like she has to become someone to better this world, she wants to be someone who inspires people. For every cut she makes, she wants to heal another. Strengths/Talents: She’s quite skilled in dagger combat, drawing on her nimble feet and small stature. She understands people, how to read them and how to tell them what they want to hear Weaknesses/Inabilities: She is not very strong, she is very distrusting of most, she has lost sight of her pure goals as she has spent years travelling, focusing more on her own survival than her larger plan. She is very short sighted and often only thinks of the immediate implications of her actions. She is sharp tongued and often loses her temper. Almora rushed over to the group speechless that her father in law had returned. Seeing many were injured, she set about cleaning wounds and seeing stitches , making her way to Thorik who is still being carried she asks, "Is 'e 'urt badleh?"
