He was a rambunctious little tike with red hair and a short body, but was eager to follow in his fathers footsteps. His father was a well known miner, and Thane wanted to be the same. His mother watched over him, until he was old enough to grab a pickax of his own, and mine with his father. As the years went by, Thane became more and more like his father. His mining skills improved, and His lust for ale heightened. His family was happy, and all was well. Until one day when they went mining, and everything changed. While mining some coal, his father hit a weak selection of stone. The cavern caved in, leaving him trapped. Thane was 120 at the time, and tried with all his might to dig his father free. Despite his best efforts, he was unsuccessful and his father was unable to get free. Thane took this very hard, and vowed to one day become as skilled of a miner as his father.
