  1. Written by Vincent Divine in his Study, ~ Asulon "Corruption" Corruption, Corruption, It blinds us all, Though it's us that have to take the fall. The nobles rest in their keeps, The poor live in their messed up heap. Where is the justice? What about Augustus? Oh, that's right, you sent the Flay's away. Not that they were of any use anyway. Corruption, Corruption, It blinds us all, It's us that have to take the fall. Why don't you listen? Don't let your guard down, We're always around. If you truly cared, Everything would be repaired. You're too scared to admit the fact. We know you're corrupt, you just haven't cracked. So sit in your keep, While we all weep. We'll be back ten times stronger and attack...

  3. Written by Vincent Divine - Kal'Karik, Asulon Foreword Tobias Larowin was a child that lived with the Tarus Family and myself when I served as Steward of the Tarus Family. This piece of literature is inspired off of this child who caused anguish for myself, but also allowed me to realize the true qualities and nature of children and allowed me to recall my childhood. I served Tobias day to day, and the Tarus Family cared for him as his father was the bannerman captain of their house. The child was very gloomy most of time, due to his uneducated self. I longed to educate him of my studies, but alas at the time I could not comprehend nor fathom the choices that children made in there everyday lifestyle. "Tobias" Chapter 1: Intrigue A child of many faces. This child served as a reminder of the beginning of every person's life. As I tended to Tobias's needs, I studied his actions immensely. Children are intrigued by many things and often has questions for elders. Tobias would ask, "Vince, what is that?" or "What is this?". Unfortunately due to Tobias's previous primitive lifestyle he was not educated of the basic education children are normally. He was raised by a father who didn't serve him. Aside from that, Tobias was close to Lord Axl Elendil, and unfortunately witnessed his death in combat. Chapter 2: Emotions Tobias would often aspire to slay the men who had qualms with the Tarus Family. The child's aggressive nature was most likely triggered by a series of tragic events that occurred in his lifestyle. Often, I would find Tobias lying in a corner in his room, curled in a ball, and expressing his anger by means of rolling his hand into a fist and unleashing it upon the wall. I would express my concerns for his safety to Eze'kiel; We did everything we could to help, but he was very difficult to handle. Children appear to have mood swings often in their youth. I believe it's normal, as they are not fully developed and their intelligence shall grow as they progress. Tobias, however, I always had doubts of. One day, the Dwarven Lord Marshal arrived at the residence in which we stayed in Kal'Karik. He notified us of an ongoing war. Tobias, a child, raised his hand and wished to fight. Thankfully, Ser Edward Tarus cautioned otherwise. Chapter 3: Instability After the experience with Toby, it allowed me to learn one final trait of youth. Tobias was an unstable child, mainly due to his upbringing. I can conclude if only denizens of Asulon raised their children in a timely and more caring manner, children would be more stable, intellectual, and less rambunctious. From this experience however, I have learned how to handle a highly depressed child. I only wish Tobias the best in his lifetime. (This piece of literature is an analysis of children after Vincent's experiences with Tobias.)

  5. Written by Vincent Divine - Unknown Year ~ Asulon The Impoverished Noble The Impoverished Noble, Oh boy have they lied, Covering up Genocide. Living in Squalor, Just give them a Holler. Their people are dead, They're so misled. The Impoverished Noble, They embrace death, They're out of breath. They've tossed their life down the drain, Now all they feel is a bunch of pain. Give up now, Or we'll show you how. The Impoverished Noble, Once revered, Now they're feared. The Impoverished Noble... shutting the door on the poor.
  6. Written by Vincent Divine - Deep Underground, Kal'Karik - Asulon Exile For years I pondered my thoughts and questioned my judgement, asking why I ended up miles underground surrounded by an infinite source of heat and darkness. I've always preferred Solitude as a way of life. However, this seemed to be a form of Exile. This lifestyle is unlike any other. When you're in Exile, one challenges his very existence. Being exiled changes a man. Perhaps it has caused me to develop a slight case of Insanity, but I digress. Dwarves love the underground, this is there home. For an intellectually bonded man of society, it challenges his will. Firstly, this exile has given me an undeniably large amount of wisdom, but this wisdom has instilled with me fear-- and the want to renounce all that I live by. From this exile, I have created a trail of thoughts: - Exile affects all intellectuals, including the most noble. Where is the Light? - This fate is far worse then death, as it is escaping death itself... Where is the Light? - I live each day as if the walls are closing in Where is the Light? - There is no farm land, so there is no food. Where is the Light?

  13. Written by Vincent Divine - Tarus Estate - Unknown year, Asulon Solitude As I observe the vast amounts of vegetation in Eyreside, I can't help but to revel in its beauty. Such Beauty is not discovered in traditional Asulonian society, as most of Asulon is encompassed around conflict. In the distance I see the sun setting below the Horizon... - "Beauty" If you are one to live the quiet life, you must surround yourself with knowledge and questions. Asking questions is an essential task so that one keeps himself amused. Inquiry is the key to gaining wisdom; wisdom is the key to gaining knowledge... - "Inquiry" Wisdom is not inherited or gained from past experience. This trait is a deep understanding that allows man to apply judgement and perception in order to validate that understanding. A symptom of wisdom is discernment. From my years in Solitude, I have gained said quality. - "Wisdom" Knowledge is power--something that has been reiterated many times in our existence. With knowledge we unlock the key to any desire. I surrounded myself with literature in my youth. I am only a mere twenty years old, but because I exposed myself to literature, I gained knowledge. - "Knowledge"
