  1. *A message is pinned to the board, a simple piece of bark with knife marks for characters, the letters are particularly sloppy, like those of a child* I am Uthlirr Tinuviel, I am a somewhat competent farmer ((lvl 30)) and am interested in paying for a acre of farmland through mortgage. After the mortgage is payed off, I would be interested in selling my crops through the granary. Thank you, U. Tinuviel
  2. ((MC Name)): ThanonZi Character Name: Uthlirr Tinuviel Race: Elf ((RL)) Age: 15 Current Occupation: Explorer/Wanderer If any, preferred positions: Farmer Particular skills can be written here: I hope to get a job with the North Alrasian Commerce and Trade Company, and am willing to put all the energy in my body to growing crops! I don't have much to say except that I seem to have a way with plants, and hope to get a job with the Company. Thank you, Uthlirr
  3. Minecraft account name: ThanonZi Character name: Feanor_Tinuviel Character race: Wood Elf Character age: 18 Do any kingdoms dislike you?: None What are your survival skills like?: After I ran away from my family in Malinor, I had plenty of time to learn how to fend for myself. My Father had always taken me hunting, so I thought I would know how to live alone. Of course I was wrong, and my decision to leave was rash. But I certainly learned how to survive the hard way and after many hungry nights with no shelter over my head I feel I have learned how to dull the harsh reality of hunger, and blunt the sharp edge of the wild' sword. How swiftly can you cross the wilds?: My exuberant youth and Elven heritage grants me speed, and I use that speed in my everyday activities. I travel long distances through the wilds, and feel comfortable sprinting through them. Are you good at remaining concealed?: My Father taught me many things, one of them the art of the hunt. During a hunt my Father and I would remain hidden among the trees, waiting, waiting, waiting, and sometimes stalking our prey. My rashness in communication and decision making is the exact opposite of my patience on the hunt, and I can conceal myself with skill. Are you good at navigation?: Everywhere I go I make detailed maps and drawings of my surroundings, and use these maps and drawings to their full potential. My Father also taught me how to manipulate the stars and the growth of the wild to know my way around. I rarely do not know where I am or where I am going, and this is a talent that I keep pride in. Are you a good archer?: As a child I put pride in my dedication to learning archery, and that dedication certainly has payed itself off in full now that I can hunt and defend with any bow. Do you have any particular talents?: My bowmanship and survival skills are two of my greatest talents, but I also pride myself in my ability to harvest timber, and to use that same axe to cleave the skull of any monster.
  4. Yay, I got accepted! I will have to rub it in the face of my now 2 friends who are trying to get on the server!

  5. Out-Of-Character Minecraft Account Name: ThanonZi How old are you?: 14, turning 15 in March Time-Zone/Country of Residence: East Coast of Canada, -5 GMT Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: I like to think so, and have been complimented on my grasp of the English language by many of my elders. Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I like long walks on the beach, pina coladas & getting caught in the rain. Jokes! I am a young male living on the east coast of Canada, currently in grade 9 education. I am currently working on learning Python, HTML, Lua, GIMP, Blender, and making a sled in the basement. I read a lot of science fiction, fantasy, and am also reading a random book on “Square Foot Gardening” I found in the basement. I am enthusiastic, hard working, and am always attempting to crack a joke. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: The amount of time I spend playing any particular game fluctuates on what else is happening IRL.. The average I will play on LOTC around 10+ hours. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: I know a bit about roleplaying, and have been playing RPGs for a few years now. I was introduced into RP when my Dad kept mentioning a Magic Bag of Holding as a joke. I had no clue what he was talking about, so he explained to me what good ol’ Dungeons and Dragons was, and how he had played weekend long marathons with his buddies in the barracks. He dug up a couple DnD books from the basement and we went out to buy some newer stuff. We decided that we wanted to play some DnD, so we headed out to a local nerd store and asked the manager if there were any groups looking for members. We found a group, but they were playing Pathfinder (kinda like DnD 3.5) but we joined in anyway. Our group played together for about a year before schedule changes prevented us from playing weekly. I have wanted to get back into RP for a while now, so when my friend told me about Lord of the Craft, I thought I might as well put in an application. In summary, I think RPing is all about playing a character that someone would never have a chance to play in RL. Well that and using the time spent as an excuse to eat all the chips in the house. What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I covered this in the last section, but in summary I have played video game RPGs for around 5-7 years, and have played pen+paper RPGs for around 2 years. In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Meta-gaming is using outside of the game info or skills to cheat inside of the game. An example would be if someone told me IRL that he was a bandit in LOTC, and then I encountered him in game and I immediately ran without signs of him actually trying to rob me or kill me or whatever else he wouldve done. In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: To be honest, I have never heard of Power-Gaming before, but after reading the wiki article on it I think I can answer this question. Power-gaming is when a player ignores the other players in the game and just tries to become as powerful or rich as possible without actually RPing and having fun. Another example of a power-gamer is someone who exploits or abuses differants stats effects knowing full well that he will be OP and unRPable, but still doing it because he wants to be better then everyone else. What do you expect this server will be like?: I think the server will be a fun place where I can RP to my hearts content and build (with a charter!) to my hearts content as well. I think it will also be a place to meet cool people and experience a new facet of minecraft. Also, after checking some of the videos showcasing LOTC, I will expect the server to be an epic place with a tonne of amazing architecture. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have played on servers before but only for a little. I simply quit because I still wasn’t finished recognizing the potential that single player offers. Now that I have done all I want to do in single player, I think it is a good time to move on to multiplayer. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: I have read the rules. I understand the rules. I agree to the rules. I love the rules. I will allow the rules to guide me and harness my full potential. I think the rules are a wonderful thing. All hail the rules. Eliminate all the adversaries of the rules. MORE RULES FOR THE RULES GOD (a cookie for whoever understands this) Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules: I do so swear an oath that I will abide the aforementioned rules and laws, and their various spawn. How did you hear about us?: I heard about LOTC from a friend at school. He is currently also in the process of applying, but I have no clue what his username is. Have you voted for the Lord of the Craft on Minestatus? Which vote number were you?: I have voted for Lord of the Craft on Minestatus, but have not received a vote number (I probably missed it). In-Character: Character Name: Fëanor Tinúviel What Race are you?: Fëanor is an Elf What Sub-Race are you?: Fëanor is an Elf of the Wild (a.k.a Wood Elf) Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): History Fëanor grew up in a normal life, no treacherous raids, no terrible invasions, and certainly no long lost ancestors. All of Fëanor's childhood memories consist of the peaceful family home in the outskirts of Haelun'or, running through the long grass, and swinging from tree to tree. Fëanor's childhood also contained the teachings of his Father, a expert hunter and master bowman, who was always bringing Fëanor out on his hunts. When a hunt was over Fëanor's Mother would show him the skills of alchemy, and the roots, plants, flowers, and herbs required to make the most potent potions and poisons. It was Fëanor's 17th birthday, and Fëanor decided to go on a routine hunting trip. On this routine hunt Fëanor noticed a figure running through the woods. He called out to it in the common tongue, trying to distinguish if it was friend, foe, or his next meal. When he heard no reply, he let loose his arrows. The satisfying twang of an arrow being let loose from its string and the accomponying thunk as it hits its intended target graced Fëanor's ears. He ran forward, attempting to distinguish what animal he had hit. That is when Fëanor's life changed, it was his Father, his loving, caring, helpful Father. Father had been running from Haelun'or with a handful of stolen jewels when the arrow had hit him. Fëanor was devistated, he couldn't tell his Mother that Dad was a lowly thief! He couldn't go to the authorities without his family name being discredited! Fëanor had to run, and he had to run fast. He bundled up the stolen jewels and ventured off, armed only with his bow and a the sharpest sword of all, knowledge. Appearance Fëanor is a young Elf. The pale white skin of his face is marked with cuts and bruises from his various hunts and adventures, and deep purple eyes display Fëanor as a possesor of a deep primal wisdom, an intelligence not often found in Elves of his age. Standing 190 cm tall and wrapped in a dark green cloak, Fëanor certainly plays the part of a hunter. His long stride and purposeful gaze makes Fëanor seem like a man with a mission. That same long stride causes Fëanor's cloak to swirl behind him, revealing yet more scars and bruises along with the stain of squished berries on his arms and hands. Weighing 64 kg Fëanor is light for his height, but barely an ounce of fat contributes to his weight, his body being made up almost exclusively of lean elven muscle. That lean elven muscle can propel Fëanor to impressive acrobatic feats, or push him trough long tiring runs. Clicky here for perdy picture. Personality Fëanor's gruff and abrupt attitude may protray him as a mean character, but in reality Fëanor is just trying to get whatever he needs done in as efficient a manner as possible. A smile is rarely on Fëanor's face as his personal daemons remind him of the single terrible act he has commited. What is your Character's ambitions?: One of Fëanor's ambitions is to become a man of wisdom and intellect, to surpass even his skilled Father in the knowledge and skill of survival in Aegis. Fëanor wishes to join the Asulon Outriders and learn of things from every corner and continent of Aegis, to be wise in every discipline. He wishes to pass this wisdom onto his children, and them unto their children, and them unto their children. Fëanor wishes this to continue until the Tinúviels of Haelun'or are a family of seers, marksman, wizards, and not beggars or thieves, a family of power and wisdom! What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): Fëanor's favorite tool is a powerful bow and a quiver full of straight arrows, seconded only by a sharp, calculating mind, piercing the haze of asininity. What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? One of Fëanor's most useful talent is his ability to survive in the wild and to make a prosperous and comfortable life when others wither up and die. A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format): Clicky here for skin picture. Other Information about your Character: Fëanor is adept at using and creating poisons and potions from his training with his Mother. Open-Response-Questions Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? Fëanor immediatly turns the other way not wanting to get caught up in others business, but shutters as the screams of the attacked halfling continue, then eventually die down. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a poshaccent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? Fëanor: Hello, what may I call you? Tibias: 'Ell I am Tibias, vendor of fine goods and fufiller of dreams, is there perchance something in particular I can obtain fer you? *Fëanor glances over the vendor's wares* Fëanor: As a matter of fact, Tibias, I could use some various poisons, arrows, and maybe some daggers. *Tibias' face pales* Tibias: Daggers, poisons, arrows? What are you goin' to do with all that? Ar' ya a some crazy homocidal mania... *Fëanor cuts Tibias off mid sentance* Fëanor: Actually, I may have need of them sooner then I thought, you see I never did like people asking about my business, and I did dispose of that nosy shop keeper in Normandor! Why don't you stop asking questions and start getting my goods, like a good little shop keeper! *Tibias runs around gathering all the items requested* Tibias: That will be only *gulp* 1750 minas Sir Fëanor: You know, I really could use a discount on all these, don't you think? *Fëanor pulls back a cloak to reveal a short sword in his scabard* Tibias: Ye..e..s, go ahead, please, just leave, free, just leave! *Tibias faints, and Fëanor chuckles and walks off* Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: Fëanor quickly reaches for the gold sword, replaces it with his current sword, a few valuable goods, and a note of appreciation for the trade. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you in the common tongue, how do you respond? Fëanor walks up to the largest tent in the trading camp, looking for a leader. Lead Merchant: 'Ey! You thar, whatdya thing yer doin in my camp! Fëanor: My apologies, I am simply a lost and hungry traveller looking for a path back to civilization Lead Merchant: That thar bow on yer back an those thar arrer's in yer quiver certainley don't look like somethin a peaceful bandit *cough* sorry, traveller, would carry! Fëanor: If you are worried about my ability to rob you, don't be! I am so hungry and weak I have no thoughts on my mind but food, I would be forever grateful for a trencher of soup and a tankard of ale! Lead Merchant: Aye, we have both, come this way son. *Fëanor and Lead Merchant walk off to the mess tent and sit down and eat* You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Fëanor hops at the oppurtunity to be rewarded for a good fight, he finds the Captain of the Guard and asks if he can enlist with the party. The Captain of the Guard accepts, and when the fight is over Fëanor quickly gets his reward and runs off.
  6. Can't wait to get accepted, hopefully my second try will be the try I get in with!

Which vote number were you?: I have voted for Lord of the Craft on Minestatus, but have not received a vote number (I probably missed it). In-Character: Character Name: Noglesh Ubaluror What Race are you?: Orc Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): History The first memories Noglesh has of his past is waking up in a dark, wet, and rank cave on the side of a small mountain. He was definitely no child, looking to have been at least 11 years old. The mystery of Noglesh’s childhood is exactly that, a mystery! Amnesia clouds Noglesh’s childhood like mist obscured the peak of Noglesh’s lonely mountain cave. Choosing not to dwell on his situation Noglesh lifted himself from the lichen and set his mind on survival. Noglesh felt a peace in nature, and was well off for being stranded in the mountains. As he worked and toiled to build a life for himself his body turned into a lean clump of muscle, and his mind sharpened with a sort of primal wisdom. Unfortunately survival wasn’t enough for Noglesh, and he longed for companionship. Darkness crept towards Noglesh no matter how many torches he lit, and his mind soon started evolving into a void of darkness, a void with no need for sensibility or self control. At the age of 17, after spending 6 years in the wild on his own, Noglesh ventured out. He packed all the bark, mushrooms, and berries that he could fit into his sack made out of a skinned hog, then hiked forth. He walked for many days and many nights before finding a road. Even though Noglesh had never seen a road before, he felt the need to follow it, possibly intuition gained from his lost childhood. Noglesh continued walking, and walking, and walking, and walking. Weeks and weeks after Noglesh left his cozy cave, he encountered humanity, stumbling across a slave train. After finding that Noglesh couldn’t speak any languages, and could communicate only with grunts, hand symbols, and movement, the slave master decided to keep Noglesh as a personal pet. Noglesh once again was shut off from companionship, and was seen simply as a brute that could do nothing but work. Noglesh’s dwarven master decided to teach Noglesh the dwarven tongue, and Noglesh caught on quickly. As Noglesh’s vocabulary grew, so did his wish to become free, and so did his wish to impose his hatred upon his merciless slave master. Noglesh had never attempted escape before, but he thought it easy enough. An orc of Noglesh’s size and strength would find it easy to destroy his pitiful restraints, and Noglesh did so enjoy ripping his shackles to pieces. His freedom only ignited his desire to destroy his slave master more. Noglesh found his slave master peacefully sleeping in a local tavern, surrounded by empty tankards. Noglesh grabbed one of the tankards, and smashed it down upon his enslaver with a savage strength, sending to slave master into oblivion. Noglesh was free, and with his anger he crafted a name, Noglesh Ubaluror, or malevolent spirit. Appearance Click this. This image is probably copyright, so all credit goes to whomever created it! What is your Character's ambitions?: Noglesh simple ambition is to become as fierce as the wild he survived in, and to become as merciless and cruel as the Master he served under. What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): Noglesh’s favorite tool is his own hands, using them with skill equal in destroying as his skill in creating. What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? Noglesh’s most cherished talent is the pure unbridled fury that he can channel through his fists to accomplish his goals. A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format): Other Information about your Character: Noglesh’s time In the wild made him an expert in survival, and his experience with various plants and herbs make him a excellent alchemist, especially when it comes to his favorite art, poison. Open-Response-Questions Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? I sneak behinds the harassers, positioning myself behind the two. Letting out an immense roar, I smash their two heads together with a force that rings through their armour and that instantly kills them with a vicious energy. The halfling stands up, turning to me and offering his complete thanks. I roar at him as well, and as soon as he sees the destruction in my eyes, he turns and runs. I give chase, eventually catching up to him and smashing him down on the ground. I loot through his belongings for anything of value, then turn and run back into the wild. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? I let out a growl of annoyance, then turn and continue on towards my destination. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: I immediately take the iron bars without hesitation, but leave the golden sword behind due to the fact that it is useless, small, and easily traceable compared to the iron bars. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you in the common tongue, how do you respond? I camouflage myself in the nearby woods, waiting until nightfall. As darkness sweeps across the camp I slowly start making way towards the camps supply tent, and grasp at whatever edibles I can find, pocketing valuables along the way. I then proceed to enter each and every tent and silently eliminate the inhabitants due to their likeness of my former tormenter. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: I join in with the party, and continue onward to battle the bandits. After the battle is over I take a large portion of the loot and receive my reward, then proceed to run off back into seclusion. *OOC* As I am not a villain yet, I will not commit any of the acts described in my open responses, but for RPing intent, those are things my char would do.
