Actually thats exactly how it is during rp fights...5 year olds competing against trained soldiers...that is one of the reasons why it's PvP default right now. -
No one plays on 3 fps. No one. It's like playing the game with pictures. I've hit 1 fps and it just completely freezes.

How would he? Unless the thief has also trained in combat, he would be outskilled by the guard in RP, as well as the guard having leather armor. Leather armor is light, it wouldn't render you that much... The whole situation doesn't make sense, a thief wouldn't pickpocket in CHAINMAIL, it would jiggle way to much to be noticeable by the victim. A thief would either be in no armor, or leather to the very maximum for easy agility, and speed to get away.

You do realize that VAs have motives on them? Check someone's VA if you think they don't have proper cause to attack you. I nearly got blacklisted for this very reason. I'm quite sure the VAT doesn't accept someone's motive as: because I want to.

It's good that its moot. Means if someone is faster but weaker, and someone who is slower but stronger, will result in a more balanced fight, and one can say different, according to your post. Who even said you'd be targeted without armor in the first place. RP lead ups are what kills a lot of people who have no armor on. They either can't shut their mouth IC, or think they're superman.

I'm pretty sure if PvP is default everyone is going to be using iron (MAYBE chain) armor, unless you want to stand zero chance. Slow means more power behind it though. Daggers in MC mechanic are faster but weaker weapons. Daggers in RP are deadly one shotters if used correctly, but barely anyone in RP is going to let you pull off a clean stick to your heart.

So you are saying that a person using a dagger would win against an armored foe already? That's the very definition of Powergaming as well, determining the victor even before it has started.

Wtf is heavy Roleplay lol. Only heavy RP to me is having to RP a fight for an hour.

I've tried that. It's hard. People don't take PvP groups as serious as they should ((when arranged OOCly)), and mostly think of it as an OOC thing, which it isn't, as seen by the dwarf-Oren war zones.

The problem with RP fights: The standards of quality an RP fight requires has come to the point of people not trying anymore.

Not /everyone/ can (is able to) fight in RP. I don't see logic here.

The community has become like this because of RP. RP has made people leave because they can't even handle a virtual situation in a video game.

I know firsthand, because I have 2 computers, that my 60 fps one that is from 2005, and my new one who can run MC at 300+ fps, the actual PvP is exactly the same. If you are running 45+ fps, you are running smoothly 100%. 30 fps has a slower feel, but it is not lagging.

Not quite. The poll doesn't mean that it necessarily won and I haven't seen a valid point by anyone who does want RP still as default and hasn't been answered with a solid answer by how PvP default is not bad.

You love Roleplay, but that's all you love. There is a thing called PvP on Minecraft for a reason, to be utilized in what ever way that you can bend it. If your looking for a text based style of Roleplay for everything, head on over to a forum that does that. People have come on here protesting like an apocalypse is soon upon them. But there is light, it's called the window to the outside.

I'd say this anyday, PvP is such a taxing thing on your mind then role-playing fighting. It actual takes common sense to win at it. If you are running, you actually use the environment. In Roleplay, you probably, if running, always, or rarely don't, get stopped by the guy attacking you.

This still happens even with RP as default. I'm a villian and have experienced this first-hand. People just try to void me and run off. If someone did that then it makes sense to automatically attack them. Give me a reason for me to not kill you anymore and you won't be.

Makes me laugh that I could PvP to some degree on a 1.3ghz CPU 4gb laptop with a 20 dollar GPU. More players on the server will not effect your "performance" to any such degree you explained.
