Out-Of-Character Minecraft Account Name: Diddly1 How old are you?: 19 Time-Zone/Country of Residence: Eastern U.S/ Virginia Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?: My grip on the English language is good to excellent, I may have a grammatical error on occasion. Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: My name is Tanner. I'm pretty responsible, friendly, loyal and mature. I LOVE to Rp, whether it be in games or in chat-rooms, and always looking for it. Video games, for me, are used as an outlet to escape for a while. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: have so much free time, I can be on pretty much every day. What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: Role-playing to me is taking the role of a fictional character that you create and mold through interactions with other characters, your character becomes well-known through those interactions. What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I've been on one other Minecraft server, called "Iriliath" and I have also roleplayed on SWTOR and WoW. In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Meta-gaming is when a character gains an unfair advantage over another through OOC information. In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: Power-gaming is when a character disregards the limits of the role-play or server and gains an unfair advantage over other characters. Example: John attacks kim, instanstly killing her. What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect the server will be unlike any RP server i've ever played because it's so well developed. I also expect magnificent role-players and role-play communities in the server. What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I've played on Iriliath, I haven't left yet. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?: Yes, I have. Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules: Yes, of course. How did you hear about us? Did someone refer you?: I was browsing the Mine-craft forums and it caught my eye. Have you previously made an Application? If so could you link us to your last Application?: http://www.lordofthe...1s-application/ Have you posted this application on our minecraft forum thread yet? If not, just finish it up on here and then copy + paste is over there. (http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/832121-%E2%96%91%E2%96%92%E2%96%93-the-lord-of-the-craft-%E2%96%93%E2%96%92%E2%96%91-enter-the-world-of-asulon-o-f-f-i-c-i-a-l-l-y-t-h-e-n-o-1-r-p-s-e-r-v-e-r/): Not yet. In-Character: Character Name: Ingvard What Race are you?: Human What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): None Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Ingvard was born a farmer's hand in a farm just outside of Arethor, his father worked him day after day, it's as if he was born with an iron hoe in his hands. The relationship with his father had always been an uneasy one, they were constantly butting heads over almost anything. His mother was taken by a strange sickness to which even today, is still a mystery to Ingvard. As a child, farm-work was the only thing that Ingvard knew, schooling was out of the question, as was play. When his time to leave the farm came, his father thrust him out, allowing him to travel Asulon for a new home. Ingvard, angry that his father cast him out, secluded himself far from the farm, cutting all communincations with his father. He settled close to the borders of the Wilds where he took up the skill of milling, building and running his own saw mill, always watching for possible threats from the nearby Wilds. Ingvard developed a grizzled look to him as he matured, his face, filthy and grimy, is slowly becoming wrinkled from his age and stress. Ingvard's hands are swollen and calloused from prior farm work, his eyes are sharp and his wits are quick. His demeanor is warm and inviting, but can become ruthless when threatened. Ingvard can tell a clean man from a snake a mile away, he's had far too many experiences with betrayal, especially crossing the fields of Arethor and has learned permanent lessons. Ingvard sports a ungroomed beard full of grime and filth, just like his long brown hair. His teeth are yellow and unwashed with a wave of gnarly breath that smells of death. Atop Ingvard's head lays his prized family hat, made of pure straw and hand-made by his most distant ancestor, along with a patched set of cloths. His shirt is a light blue, sewn together with other pieces of cloth, while his pants are a dark brown, ripped from the knees and bottoms. What is your Character's ambitions?: Ingvard's main goal is to become well established and well known to the people, another goal is to run the most sucessful saw-mill in all of the server. What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): Sword and Axe. What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? : Ingvard's most skilled talents is chopping wood, he is able to keep at it for long periods of time and is able to chop a tree down in less than two minutes. A screenshot of your skin: http://imageshack.us...screen.png/sr=1 Other Information about your Character: Ingvard has a bit of a social problem when it comes to bartering, he'll offer outrageous deal for something expensive. Open-Response-Questions Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? Ingvard would study the situation, and try to avoid the violence all together, he doesn't want to be a good samaritan, nor does he want to get beaten to a pulp by armed warriors, or possibly killed. Ingvard will probably watch from afar, and if it turns ugly, he will run to the nearest authority to report the situation. He may return later to see if the halfling is alright, possibly offer him some money in reparations of the warriors who've stolen him and give him an apology for not helping. Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? "Hey there, buddy, you've got any axes? Not the cheap ones either, the GOOD ones, the kind that cut wood like butter! YOU know what i'm talking about..Right? You've probably got them in the back, but you just don't want to show e'm! C'mon, it'll be worth your while!" The merchant looks at Ingvard completely confused "What're yah' talkin' about boyo? I don't have any clue what you're talkin' about." Ingvard takes a firm stand and demands "C'MON BUDDY! You and I both know what i'm talking about!" The merchant is taken back by the yelling, he returns a scream of his own. "I AIN'T GOT YOUR AXES! GUARDS! GUARDS!" Ingvard realizes that he may be arrested and scrams running in a random direction, hoping not to be caught. Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond? Ingvard would check around to see if anyone's actually coming back and wait around for twenty or so minutes in the bushes, maybe call out a "HELLO!?", if not, the items in the chest are fair game. He would take them and leave without really feeling any guilt, probably putting them to good use, since he doesn't like to waste material. Ingvard may eventually return to see if anyone actually lived there, and if they did, he would return to give them back the items ONLY if he didn't use them already, or if in a pinch of money trouble, he would try and sell them back to the owner, insisting that it was his fault for leaving it in an unlocked chest. Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? Ingvard would begin to present them his problem, obviously keep stating that he is hungry and tired and ask if he could stay there at least until his strength returns. "*Cough* S-sir..Please, if you have anything that might help? Maybe food..or medicine..? I'm far to weak and tired to continue." IF he happens to have any money, he will offer the money in order to stay if the camp inhabitants are stubborn and not generous. He will refuse to stay in a strange camp for more than a few hours because he will feel as if he's mooching, unless he is in terrible condition. If Ingvard has no money in his posession, he will demand the location of the camp, and return with money at some point in time. You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Ingvard will answer the call ONLY if it's a large group of people coming along, Ingvard isn't one to fight alone, because he cannot rely upon himself to block other combatant's attacks, he isn't trained in combat what-so-ever. If possible, he will try and convince someone to go in his stead, and split the profits with that person. Though, whenever there's a large reward for something, Ingvard usually puts his life on the line for it, money is that important to him, since it's his life-line for supplies and food.
