Effective immediately, any denizen of the Kingdom of Haense who carries out an unauthorized raid against another foreign entity, shall be arrested and brought to trial before the Lord Justicar. Penned by His Excellency, Lyov II Brackish, Lord Justicar of the Kingdom of Haense Jurisdictions of the Kingdom of Haense Drafted on the 6th of Malin's Welcome, 1670 To ensure that the Judiciary of the Kingdom of Haense runs at maximum efficiency, the Lord Justicar has seen fit to divide the Kingdom of Haense into various jurisdictions, inside of which the rule of law shall be maintained by an appointed levy or militant force. These appointed forces shall enforce the newly published Haensetian Criminal Code, and are granted the power to deal out punishments prescribed in the HCC. Levy/militant forces are only granted these powers inside their own jurisdictions. Should a constable observe a crime being committed outside of their territory, they are granted temporary jurisdiction until the appropriate judicial forces arrive. The jurisdictions of the Kingdom of Haense are as follows: The City of Markev and surrounding farmlands: Jurisdiction of The Hearthguard County of Metterden: Jurisdiction of House Ruthern Margrave of Vasiland, the waters of Haense: Jurisdiction of House Vanir Barony of Ihirion: Jurisdiction of House Enthelor Barony of Voron: Jurisdiction of House Baruch Any lands not mentioned above are to be policed by any available levies, until such a time that a constabulary force is established by the Lord Justicar. Similarly, any person or creature found violating a section of the Haensetian Criminal Code (hereby known simply as the HCC), whilst in the Kingdom of Haense, will be subject to punishment as laid out in the HCC regardless of their international affiliation. The authority to deal out punishment lies in the hands of the King of Haense, the Lord Justicar, and any authorized agents of the aforementioned. In this codex, the term “The Crown” shall be used when referencing either of the aforementioned. The powers of these authorized agents shall be laid out in broader terms in later editions of the HCC. The HCC is subject to amendments, following a ⅔ majority vote in favour of the amendment(s) in the Aulic Council of Haense.
