riddle me this batman. what do pvpers provide to the server?
-
@Valannor your complete detachment from roleplay on this server couldnt be more blatant. over 160 people participated in the most recent warclaim alone - not to mention the political rp, raids, skirmishes, guard rp, and everything else that has come from this war. it's moved server narrative forward on a macro level - the elves have experienced their first victory in centuries, and their first victory without allies ever (and maybe they'll finally cement themselves as a third pillar of political power so we stop seeing the same urguan-oren war over and over); the irp internal bonds that make up malinor have had highs and lows throughout, leading to interesting political rp; the horde has experienced a speedbump and shed some of its constituent political entities, and is now turning itself around to face a new threat; and the delicate politics from non-participant powers have directly led to what is effectively the second almarisian world war. on an individual level, countless players have had this conflict weave its way into their characters' narratives - pride in victory, shame in defeat, the loss of loved ones, wounds and recovery, the morality of killing, and even permanent death. players on both sides of the conflict have expressed their enjoyment of it, how it's affected their characters, and how it will drive rp moving forward. players in former fenn, celia'nor, nor'asath, and amaethea have relayed their appreciation for helping to centralize elven rp and taking the first few steps on the road to the revival of elven roleplay and the community around it. speaks measures that i even have to spell that basic shit out for you
just because you'd rather stick your head in the sand and rp with ST magic cliques doesnt mean that the other stuff that happens on lotc isnt important. kinda the opposite actually

@Valannor it's weird bc im pretty sure 90% of those event lines were started by players who then had to ask for ST involvement when elements beyond their permissible control were introduced, or were catered to an incredibly small community with links to the ST
stack up the number of players involved in or affected by wars vs the number of players involved in or affected by events and u look like a bit of a clown
if u wanna talk abt the haelunor war, it spawned through rp, was planned in rp, and prosecuted through rp. one haelunorian's ragepost about their motivations for helping us doesnt change that lol
not sure what u mean by the last bit but tldr kick rocks buddy

After years of dedication i'm now giving my farewell. o7
I pray in time LoTC heals it's self-inflicted wounds, but with the duration of my experience it's tough to stay hopeful.

If Haelun'or had to give up nation status as part of their alliance with the Horde, so should all Malin'orian constituents - for they have agreed to abide by the same terms.
