Have you read the Elven lore, and shall you ensure you make use of it and follow it in your biography?:
It's been a two years and I tried my best to brush up on Elven lore, though the wiki seems to be updating or remade for Anthos.
Definitions In your own words define the following terms. Do not take any definitions from elsewhere!:
Role-playing:
Role-playing is something I've done most of my teen years, it's a game that truly requires you to think and step into the shoes of your own created character. I like to think of it as acting but with much more depth and lore weaved into it. In short; It's taking on the role of the character you create to play in a scenario.
Meta-gaming:
It's taking Out-of-Character information and using it In-Character. It is an obvious way of cheating, your character can only know what he/she sees and learns. Also Meta can also be "mind reading" unless you have that ability you can't see what the other thinks or masks.
Power-emoting:
This is the one that really peeves me. Someone who plays their character and never wants to lose, giving no chance for the other to counter and just forces them along into whatever they want to accomplish. That and never being able to damage them. I think I speak for the true gamers of any form when I say that a game is never fun without challenge or risk.
In-Character Information: Complete the following biography on your character:
Full Name: Rosie Thornium.
Current Age: Eighteen.
Sub-race (if any): Unknown, mixed genetics.
Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long):
Rosie was a strange one; she was orphaned and a cross-bred. Nobody knew her parents or where they were at, so they couldn't tell exactly which genes she had. Though it was obvious that she was Elven with her pointed ears and nimble body.
She grew up in Malinor and quickly learned how to fend for her self, both in trading and survival once out of infant years. Wandering in the forests; hunting or gathering was her specialty, being agile and quick on her feet made traveling in the forest with ease. Also her small height gave her an advantage for hiding. In other times at Malinor she would seek knowledge and books to keep sharp, knowing how to communicate with others properly was important to her. Even though Rosie had difficulty hiding her childish and care-free nature. Also learning herbal and medical skills from the countless books and practices, she had an interest for healing.
She felt now that she was old enough to atleast explore more of Anthos. Her curious nature mostly would get her into trouble often, though in the end things would work out and she made it through.
Finally when the day came Rosie packed a few essentials and set off to begin paving a life for her self,
going to experience life to its fullest good or whether it would turn nightmarish. Knowing the consequences and gains there was to experience and excited for it all.
Ambitions for the Future:
Rosie wants to make a life for her self, no matter how little or big it will turn out. It was time now that she has matured enough to fend for her self, she isn't going to wait any longer. Being determined to play her part in the world. She isn't exactly sure what to aim for though, her first goal would be learning how to put her skills to good use, then she could work from there.
Personality:
Rosie is determined to carry on, through good and bad. She is hard to upset or depress, shruging most things off making it hard to aggravate her even in the slightest for long. She also didn't like judge others, no matter what they have done. Even the most jaded could have one weak point. The most noticable is her childish quirks, care-free and always seeming to want to have fun to the point of being moronic. Rosie likes to believe in "miracles" though to her everything is a miracle, being confused when others can't reconize the beauty of them all.
Skills:
Through long reading and practicing for a year and a half she has basic knowledge in herbal and medical arts. Still studying and working hard to improve what little she knows. From learning stitch-work she had the ability to sew clothes together, though she had a habit of only making cloyhing out of dark fabric.
Also agile and fleet-footed from exploring and hunting in the forests, her smaller height working to her advantage as well.
Sometimes Rosie likes to sketch pictures with a piece of charcoal on paper in her spare time, despite how many books she has read she could never write anything that made much sense. Finding it easier
to express her thoughts through images instead and eventually became skilled at it.
Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin): Any other details you wish to share about your character:
Rosie is short and slim in stature, being 5"2 and weighing less than seventy pounds. She was a mix breed though the only true thing she can be connected to is being Elven, having pointed ears that are mildly floppy. Her coloring was an oddity, having jet-black hair streaked with white strands and her eyes a light grey. For her apparel she had sewn her self a dark dress with shorts beneath it and still wearing boots for terrain travel. Trying to find a good balance to help in all of her skills. Open-Response-Questions Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point. ____ 1. As you walk through the deep forests you hear the sound of whispering and snickering. Upon inspection you realize that a group of older elves are mocking a small elven child. How do you react?
*Rosie sighed tiredly, it saddened her slightly that the elders appeared to lack wisdom and respect. She watched the scene through brush wondering what happened and what went wrong. Becoming spaced out before noticing the child had ran off, clearly upset. She quickly followed after the young Elven boy until he finally stopped to sit by a trunk of a tree to cry. Rosie immediately dropping in front of him from the branches above with a small smile, leaning towards him with her hands on her hips.*
Greetin- *She was cut off right at the greeting part. The boy shouting at her angrily.* Have you come here to mock me too?! Just go back to the others and save your breath!
*She blinked a few times as she stood straight up, making an "x" with her arms in front of her.*
Whooooa!~ ...I'm not here to poke fun at you, more wondering why the elders have degraded themselves to this level...~ Why were they making fun of you like that?~
*The boy was still upset in defensive, you could still hear it in his tone.* Fine, fine! I wanted to make something of myself, become a diplomat... even though my low inheritance and poor family... *Staring down at the ground, steaming in his own frustration. Rosie knew that even if the odds were against someone that it could still happen, trying a shot at encouraging him.*
Who in all the air in their heads and miracles in the sky would care what they say?~ *Giggling softly as she gave a light shrug.* I think they're the ones going to never do anything with their lives... besides, it's nothing but mindless chatter.~ The morons can't even open their minds to see past even a leaf!~
*The boy stared wide eyed up at her, he couldn't help but to smile weakly. Though still not that cheered up it was at least something to hold onto.* Heh... I guess so, though what if they're right? *His gaze lowering back to the floor. Rosie giggled childishly again.* I've read of many that work their way from what little they have... even rulers of way back then.~ It's more than possible if you would be able to use everything you have to achieve being a diplomat.~ *Smirking at him as the boy's eyes went back to look at hers, looking baffled with some slight hope given back to him.*
*Rosie would then talk some more with the boy learning his name and a bit about his family, promising to give the boy support in his efforts at his diplomacy career before parting ways for the time being. She was be interesting to see how it plays out for him and planning to stay with him for the journey.*
2. Whilst wandering through the Elven forests you come across a frail old man with a walking stick. He collapses in front of you, falling to the ground with a sharp thud. Out of his pocket falls a small pouch of gold coins, which hits the ground and splits open spreading coins across the pathway. The man lies there, defenseless - what do you do?
*Her eyes widened, this was the perfect opportunity for the thieving scum and she planned to ruin that chance before one of them came along. Hurrying over to him and sitting him up, making sure he was alright and if the 'ole man thumped his head too hard. He waved her off, being a defiant old man. I'll be
fine, I'm tougher than I look young'in.
*He sure was too, despite how frail and clumsy he was he wobbled back onto his feet. Gathering up the coins with some struggle and effort, Rosie offering to help and then proceeding to. By the end of it the old man chuckled.* "Seems there still is some hope for you generation. *Rosie couldn't help but to giggle.* Heehee, need any help getting to where you're going?~ I wouldn't want you breaking something...
*The old man was stubborn, refusing the help. Rosie just kept pushing it on him and followed him anyway, making sure he got to the port safely. By the end of the travel he thanked her for it even though he didn't need any help. Then setting off back to his home land.*
3. Whilst traversing the Elven Woodlands, you come across a small clearing in which a colored carriage sits. A trader stands outside of it and calls you over, telling you of his wares. He points out that his carriage sells just about everything, and that he's willing for you to haggle for a price. What does your character do? (Please include:- item, haggling for prices and the discussion involved).
*Rosie quickly scanned over the wares, noticing the fabrics and eyeing them as the trader notices.* Ah, yes! That one may be costly though... It'll be 100 minas. Made and dyed by the finest materials from the human Kingom.
*Rosie didn't have that much, just almost though too without having to sacrifice food money. It was a good thing haggling was on the table.* Uhm, I have 68 minas but I can throw in four leather hides for it.~ *Taking out the hides to show him, they were in good shape. A trade that would surely be profitable, leather being more in demand in Elven regions than cloth.* Sounds good to me!
*Rosie handed over the hides and minas as he traded over the roll of cloth, giggling at her good luck. There was a lot to work with. Looking back to the trader.* Thanks, glad to of found you.~ *The trader responding in same.* Been a pleasure, you can find me back here next week on the same day.
*She nodded with a giggle waving farewell to the trader as she strode off.* Thanks again, I'll be
sure to be there!~
