Introduction:

Slightly delayed this time, here comes the next city report. Activity’s been up with the recent warclaim and new houses around the town - as always, anyone with enquiries should contact either the Count of Drusco (NiceGuyNorman) or the Grandmaster (stigwig).
 

Housing:

Despite sales of houses in the new sections of the city booming, there are large swathes of hovels by the edge of the river unsold. Available for 150-200 minas each, the cheap homes are readily available for any that desire them.

Taxation Information:

With a definite taxation system finally established, the details are explained herein. Citizens will owe ¼ of the value that they paid for their house upon initial purchase every other week - the cycle being a biweekly one. Citizens may make their payments to either the Grandmaster (stigwig) or the Steward (Tahmas).

Victory in the Field Battle:

Following the Battle of Marnadal the ranks of the Brotherhood have swelled - an enormous amount of loot available to the victors of the hard fought battle. Despite the losses suffered, victory was obtained and the Empire’s forces are poised to advance further onto the horse lord’s fight - a battle to take place soon.

Recruitment:

As always, the Brotherhood of the Golden Crozier is recruiting hard-working and pious men who seek a worthy service. Given the recent success against the Dunamite-Dwed horde in the field battle, the loot and glory from battle is readily available.

Infrastructure:

With the recent construction of the Casa di Tranquilidad to the east of the city and the proposed tourney grounds beyond that spot, much work has been put into the planning of future expansion to enlarge the city and fully use the lands of the County. Any interested in aiding with the building, or purchasing a future work, would do well to contact the Count or Grandmaster.

Stalls in the Market:

Several new stalls have been constructed in the market, many all occupied by prospective entrepreneurs. With the sale of all items from iron to armour at low prices, there are still a few stalls open for purchase - cheap and enjoying an enormously high level of traffic.

The Return of a Conquering Hero:

The brave Thorvald af Lochwind has returned from his lengthy trip abroad, battling pagans in the bitter north. His return coincides with the decision to once again take up arms, as his father Ragnar before him did, in the name of GOD and Savoy. He has taken up service in the Brotherhood as a Decurion, sure to guard the lands of Drusco ably.

Introduction:

Following the reception of last week’s report, here is the next one - written with the hope that the reports become a regular thing (even if they might be a little late). As always, if you’ve any interest in what’s written here contact the Count (NORDOGGO) or the Grandmaster (stigwig).

Taxation:

Given the influx of new citizen a regular method of taxation has begun in the town, administered by the Steward. Any with concerns would do well to contact him, but they should keep minas on hand for the small payments that will be necessary should be come collecting.

Arch of Gaius:

With the recent expansion of landscapes around the city and the region, the most notable build has been the recently finished Arch of Guy. Commemorating the former King it stands as a landmark for all who travel through the lands - a reminder of his glory.

New Tavernkeep:

Following the purchase of the tavern “The Bastard and the Bandit” it is now welcoming of new patrons and visitors to the town who seek a warm room for the night. Any who still desire to find a job waiting or serving would do well to contact this owner (AGiantPie).

Vineyards:

Savoy has long been famed for the wines it produced and these new lands are no exception. The Count is searching for an entrepreneurial spirit interested in making minas to run the vineyard given plans for a new winery to be constructed. Anyone interested in such would do well to contact him or the Grandmaster in their enquiries.

Building Expansions

Industrious Druscan builders have been busy at work with the surrounding landscape, constructing the Arch of Guy and a new Denesle manor. More works are expected and any who desire to see the works would do well to visit Peremont and revel amidst the architecture.

With taxation finally implemented the Steward is in need of able bodied and quick thinking individuals to aid him. Entrusted with administration of taxes and construction, any who desire to fill such a role should contact him (Tahmas) or the Grandmaster (Stigwig).

Known him for ages, seen him turn from a literal HalflingLover to a genuinely competent staff member, and for a while, officer. He'd do as well as he's done on previous staff teams - if not better.

In the style of the old Leuvaarden City Reports by Altiak in 4.0, we’ve begun a series of similar reports for Peremont. If you’ve any questions about anything that’s mentioned here or queries about the city itself please contact the Count Adrian de Bar (NORDOGGO), the Grandmaster Denis de Bar (stigwig), or any of the above.

Constables:

With the construction of the rest of the city essentially finished and events underway, there have been a pair of constables appointed to serve the bailiff: Emery of Felsen (cookedporkchops_) and Joffrey Fournier (Babadooks). Entrusted with carrying out justice they are a welcome sight on the streets of Peremont.
 

Search for Stewards:

Following the enormous increase in the city’s size there’s a need for more stewards to help in the administration, taxing and construction of Peremont. Any who desire to apply can make themselves known to either the Grandmaster or the current Steward (Tahmas). The role is one entrusted with authority over the economic affairs of the city - professions also included.

The Brotherhood of the Golden Crozier:

The levymen who defend the town, the Brotherhood, are always recruiting in their search for fresh recruits. Given the conflict with the stouts to the south and their Qali allies battles are always at hand and with battles come loot. In order to apply, whether searching for military experience, a cause worthy of service or simply employ, contact the recruiters.

Property Available:

An enormous swathe of new houses, stalls and shops have come up for purchase with the new building - all available at remarkably low prices. In order to buy any house you can contact an official, loans are available, and there is currently only limited taxation.

New Cathedral:

The construction of the new city has seen a new cathedral finished - a fitting monument that dominated the city’s skyline. Host to a crypt of fallen townsfolk, Savoyards and Ashfords along with the relics of several saints it is worth visiting for any devout pilgrim.

Marriages:

The newly constructed Cathedral had held host to a series of recent weddings recently; those being the nuptials of:

Elias de Savoie and Adelaide d’Amaury

Augustus d’Amaury and Milena de Savoie

With packed pews and an overflowing attendance the events were landmarks of town activity.

Tavernkeep Needed:

The City is still in need of tavernkeeps for the inn on the city square: The Bastard and the Bandit. Any interested in performing such a role; requiring charisma but reaping its reward in minas, would do well to contact Denis de Bar (stigwig) or leave a message on the advertisements.
