In-Character Details
Character Name: Alistair Elric
Character Race: Human, Northerner
Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary:
Age: Alistair is a young boy, no older than nineteen.
Appearance: Coming from a poor family, Alistair has always worn old, tattered clothing. He wears shirts and pants made of cloth, with ragged leather bracers and belts. He has green eyes and brown hair, with a light skin tone. Alistair was never a very muscular boy, but he was of a medium build, his only exercise being working the family farm.
Alistair was born in a small settlement in the Wilds, into the Elric family. The Elrics were of low wealth, their only source of income coming from their small farm, selling crops and livestock. Alistair was very outgoing, he usually tended to both the farm and the customers, and let the rest of his family rest. He is very selfless. Alistair does whatever he can to make both his family and customers happy.
The settlement and Alistair's family prospered with what little they had his whole life. Up until he was eighteen, that is. A group of suspicious traders came into the settlement, selling tailored items for a very, very low price. The residents couldn't turn down the thought to be brilliant deal, they almost bought the traders out completely of their cloth items. Little did the settlement know, the cloths were infected with an unknown virus. This virus was particular about whom it affected, seemingly only infecting younger children. It spread through the settlement, including Alistair two younger siblings. They could not afford a doctor or any medicines, and the infected children soon passed.
It was the day after this incident that Alistair left the settlement. Little notice was given, only a note in his bedroom. The note was unclear, but looked as if Alistair was saying that he was leaving in hopes to return to the settlement one day with Minas to share with the settlement. Nothing was heard from him after he left. It's now a year later, and Alistar is nineteen years old.
What are your characters ambitions?: Alistair just wants to help to better his home settlement.
Please provide an in-game screenshot of your skin here:
Is there anything else you would like to say about your character: I didn't want to create the generic adventurer, I hope to play as a normal townsperson with this characer, possibly start a business.
Open-Response-Questions
Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short.
Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response?
As I walk through the gates of Arethor, I can not help but to look at the amazing scenery. I take a few steps forward, only to bump into a small man. A dwarf, no doubt. I look around and see a small merchant's stall. It must belong to him.
Apologizing, I offer a hand to the dwarf. He rudely refuses and gets to his feet. The dwarf snorts and walks back to his stall. I follow after him, finding that he's also just a poor man trying to survive. I think for a long while, deciding to leave a small pile of coins. I smiled at the man and walked off, leaving him bewildered.
You’re in the Cloud Sanctuary late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. The only present monk is fast asleep, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do?
"It's late and dangerous outside, I need somewhere to go." I thought to myself. Seeing the Cloud Sanctuary nearby, I begin to walk in it's direction. I heard arguing inside. I couldn't make out the words, but I knew it was a hostile tone. I was hesitant, but I continued to walk to the Sanctuary.
Upon entering, I see only three men. A monk, a dwarf and an orc. I was right, the orc and dwarf were yelling back and forth to each other. The orc seemed to be the dominant one, towering over the dwarf. If nothing is done, this won't be a pleasant place to be. The monk was fast asleep in a nearby chair, not looking like the noise is bothering him. "I have to somehow alert the monk!" I thought. I needed a way to both alert the monk, but draw attention away from myself...
..."FIRE!" I yelled, waking the monk and distracting the arguing men. As everyone leaves the Sanctuary, I explain to the monk my reasoning for exclaiming that there was a fire. The monks arrested the orc, and the dwarf was safe. I was thanked by the monks, and proceeded find a place to sleep.
Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?:
I continued to walk down the road. I was tired and irritable, but I needed to get to Malinor. I wondered how much longer until I arrive.
I see an older man walking a few yards ahead of me. He looks to be struggling. I approach him, hoping to ask him how long until he finds himself in Malinor. Suddenly, the old man's walking stick breaks and he falls to the ground. He also dropped a bag of Minas, which spills out into the street.
"Oh!" I exclaimed. "Let me help you up." I ran over to the man and helped him to his feet. I help him gather his things and his minas, giving him my own bag to put them in. It was empty, anyway.
He asks his question, and it turns out the man was also heading to the same place, and that they were not far from it. I slowed my pace and walked to Malinor with the man, it looks as if I've made a new friend.
